Who Asked for This? Another Friday the 13th Reboot
Just when you thought it was safe to believe this series was over... This happens.
Paramount promised another installment of Friday The 13th in March 13, 2015. Yes, another one. Why? Child I don't know, I don't know.
But the word is, they are going the found footage route, which SUXXXX! Paranormal Activity has abused this format, and ran it to the ground. I hope this is not true. I hope this is a bad rumor. But, Hell, they are bring this back so who knows, right?
Damn, this kinda blows.

Who Asked for This? Gremlins Reboot
NOOOOOOOOO!
I just read that Warner Bros. Pictures is working with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment to reboot, Gremlins!
They have tried before and every effort failed over the years. But this time, things seems to be working out. But seriously, why are they doing this? Gremlins is a CLASSIC! It can not be touched! They could do a sequel, but not a reboot! Please by the grace of Florence Jean Castleberry, do not remake or reboot Gremlins!
Somebody get me drink and a two piece extra crispy.

Who Asked For This?: Beauty and The Beast TV Series Reboot
I need a 3 piece and biscuit! Word is CW (of all places)is rebooting Beauty and the Beast. Hera help me:
Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that CBS Television Studios is developing a reboot of the ’80s cult classic Beauty and the Beast for The CW.No! Just Say No!
The original series, which ran on CBS from 1987 to 1990, starred Ron Perlman as the mythic man beast and Linda Hamilton as the object of his affection.
The new version will not only modernize and CW-up the love story but also add a procedural twist. Nice pedigree, too: Without a Trace vet Jennifer Levin and Brothers & Sisters‘ Sherri Cooper will pen the script and serve as executive producers.
I’m told this was the first project new CW president Mark Pedowitz discussed with CBS Studios head David Staph when he succeeded Dawn Ostroff in the spring. Side note: This B&B is not to be confused with the B&B pilot that ABC is developing for next season. That one is based on the public domain fairy tale about a girl forced to live in a castle with a beast who eventually wins her heart.

New Series Reboot: Dallas
Well if Wonder Woman, Hawaii 5-0 and Charlie's Angels can get a reboot, why not... Dallas!
Yes, 'Dallas' is coming back on TNT and it will continue the story of the Ewing family.
TV Line.com reveals more:
TNT’s Dallas reboot has made its first official hire: Jordana Brewster has snagged a lead role in the high-profile pilot.Well what do you think? I think this proves that writers and Hollywood are getting lazy. But it could be good.
The project — written by Cynthia Cidre and Warner Horizon — centers on feuding cousins John Ross and Christopher, the offspring of brothers J.R. and Bobby Ewing, as they clash over the future of the Ewing dynasty. Brewster will play Elena, the gorgeous daughter of the ranch’s cook who is locked in a love triangle with Christopher and John.
Brewster joins Dallas alums Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, who are set to reprise their roles from the original series as Sue Ellen and Bobby, respectively. After months of negotiations, fellow Dallas vet Larry Hagman, who played the Machiavellian J.R., has verbally committed to the project but has yet to sign a deal. Hagman had been holding out for money, prompting the studio and the network to come up with an alternative pilot script in which Hagman’s J.R. is only represented through flashbacks from the original series.

Sally Field as Aunt May? Well, Martin sheen is Uncle Ben
New Spider-Man reboot news! Martin Sheen will be Uncle Ben and Sally could be Aunt May.
Sally Field as Aunt May?
The actress is in early talks to play Peter Parker’s beloved aunt in the new Spider-Man movie, which Marc Webb is directing for Columbia.
The news comes on the heels of Martin Sheen in final negotiations to play Uncle Ben in the relaunch of the movie franchise.
Aunt May is a key supporting character in Peter Parker/Spider-Man’s life, as she is the only family the young hero has.
In the early comics, she was portrayed as a frail lady who worried over her nephew, trying to set him up with the neighbor’s daughter, and frequently got sick, adding to Peter's personal woes.Interesting choices.

REMIX Emma Stone is Mary Ja--- Gwen Stacy
Yes, I was surprised too! Comic Book Movie has the scoop:
The announcement came today via press release from Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Matt Tolmach, president of Columbia Pictures that stone will play Gwen Stacy in Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot, and not Mary Jane Watson as was previously rumored.
Said Tolmach of the announcement:
“It’s been an incredible journey for us to watch Emma’s star rise as an actress. She is extraordinarily talented and has a very special on-screen spark that is perfect for this role. Given her history with the studio, casting her in one of our most important franchises is a real thrill.”
Zack Snyder is the director of Superman and the villain is...
From Deadline
His work is good, I guess we will see. Oh and the villain of the Supes Reboot is General Zod!
Zack Snyder has been chosen to direct the new installment of Superman for Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures. Snyder was on a short list of directors that I recently revealed met with the studio as well as producers Chris Nolan and Emma Thomas. Other choices at the time included helmers Tony Scott, Matt Reeves, Jonathan Liebesman, and Duncan Jones. I think Snyder is an inspired choice. He is a cornerstone filmmaker for Warner Bros., a visual stylist whose efforts for the studio include 300, Watchmen, and the upcoming Sucker Punch.

Emma Stone is Mary Jane Watson
This is a great example of casting. Emma Stone has won the role of Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man reboot.
Deadline put out this bit of info:
Sony Pictures Entertainment will imminently offer the role of Mary Jane Watson to Emma Stone, who starred for the studio in Zombieland and Easy A.
I think she's great and she will bring some life MJ. What do you think?

Stephen Moyer may be a Contender for Doctor Doom
Our "Bill" may be Doctor Victor Von Doom in the Fantastic Four reboot.
ScreenRant reports:
Last week I was informed that Fox was interested in Adrien Brody and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers for the role of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic to help lead the project and team of superheroes and now comes word that Fantastic Four’s rival and main villain Dr. Doom could be played by True Blood star Stephen Moyer. Comic Book Movie confirms the talk I heard earlier in the week that Brody is still the top contender to play Richards and that there’s a strong interest in bringing in Moyer to play Victor von Doom, the villainous arch-rival previously played by Julian McMahon in the last two Fantastic Four movies.More to come on this. So far this is a rumor, but we will see.

UPDATE: Is Logan Lerman the new Spidey? Maybe Not
Just after I posted the info about Logan possibility landing the role of a lifetime, the story changes.
While the website Hitfix reported today that Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman was the clear first choice and "almost 100% locked" into becoming the next Peter Parker in the rebirth of the Spider-Man franchise, insiders at Sony say that the young actor is not getting the role. In fact, these sources were very definitive in denying the story, and were sure that Lerman was 100% not going to be Spidey and that he is not on the list of candidates being seriously considered.
Oh, here we go again.

Is Logan Lerman the new Spidey?
New Spidey news.
The 'Percy Jackson' star could be truly kicking off his career as Peter Parker. HitFix reports:
HitFix has exclusively learned that Logan Lerman is first choice for Sony Pictures and the clear frontrunner to replace Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in the reboot of the blockbuster franchise. A source close to the production tells HitFix Lerman is "almost 100% locked" but not in contract negotiations for the role yet.I'll keep y'all posted on the Spidey Movie Clone Saga.
The 18-year-old Los Angeles native is best known for his role as Percy in February's hit "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief." His other credits include "Gamer," "My One and Only," "Bill," "3:10 to Yuma," "The Number 23" and the TV series "Jack & Bobby" where he played Bobby. Lerman got his start in two Mel Gibson films "What Women Want" and "The Patriot" at the young age of 8.

Kathryn Bigelow Turned Down the chance to Direct Spidey
This is some news!
Queen of the World, Kathryn Bigelow actually turned down the opportunity to direct the Spider-Man reboot.
Perhaps the most interesting tidbit comes out of "The Hurt Locker" camp, where sources say that Kathryn Bigelow was offered the Spider-Man reboot but turned it down. The mind dances at how she would have put her stamp on the franchise and how her version might look different from Marc Webb's (cue easy Sandman joke, and maybe tense web-dismantling scenes).Well, I'm intrigued with what could have been the best Spidey movie ever. I wonder if she would consider directing Wonder Woman?

Christopher Nolan MAY Reboot Superman
News is flying about this piece of info.
Batman's Christopher Nolan has been asked to mentor the new Superman movies!
Nikki Finke and Mike Fleming are reporting that Warner Bros is about to announce its Superman movie plans – and they’re giving them to Batman Begins/Dark Knight’s Chris Nolan to mentor. While he won’t make the film himself, he will be hands-on involved in its development.
DC Entertainment has teased a bunch new movie announcements shortly, but the expectation was for the likes of Flash and Wonder Woman rather than the big blue. But Deadline Hollywood is sure and it’s a reboot for the franchise. They quote one insider as saying “It would definitely not be a followup to Superman Returns.”
This does not in any way replace the third installment of Nolan’s Batman movies, which his brother Jonah Nolan and just-left-FlashForward David Goyer, are working on right now.
I'm sure DC Entertainment will ride this info for what it's worth. But I have to say the buzz is giving me some good feelings about WW. Maybe some good news will be coming out in the next few weeks about her too.
