Weekend in Cali....

On the weekend of August 4th I flew out to Lancaster to photograph a wedding for the Harvey family. Let me tell you it was a busy weekend, but a great one. Thursday morning I flew out. Got a ride from the Burbank airport from Sister Knapp (which I was so grateful for, especially because I love her). Got home did laundry and then made my way down to the LA Temple to start the wedding festivities. Got to the temple and the bride and groom got dressed and we were off to Santa Monica Beach for sunset pictures. After Sunset pictures back to the temple apartments to take pictures of all the girls making their bouquets , and then in bed by 11pm. Up Friday morning at 4:30am to take pictures of the bride gettting ready, 6:30am pictures of just bride and groom around the temple before the big day. At 8am they went in the temple and at 9:30am they exited the Temple as Mr. & Mrs. then till 12pm family pictures and just a few more of the bride and groom in front of the temple because the grass was too wet in the morning. We then walked straight back to the Stake center behind the Temple for the luncheon till 2pm and by two I was done. I then sat in traffic for 2 hours to get back to Lancaster. Once in Lancaster I went home and edited some of the pictures for the reception on Saturday evening. Got them turning into Costco and waited up till 11pm for my parents to get home from a San Diego trip. Saturday morning we were up by 10am to go to Costco to make sure the pictures turned out ok, which they did. Then a little running around with the parents till 2pm when I had to get home so I could get ready for the reception. Was at the reception from 3:30pm till 9pm and right at 9pm my wonderful husband made it into town and I was all done with the wedding and ready to hang out with family. Went home and slept in the same bed as my husband, which you wouldn't know how great that is until you have been sleeping alone for 3 months. Then got up on Sunday, went to church, had a bbq at my parents with Sam, Shauna & the girls and just relaxed a little. On Monday Derek had to go back to work and my mom and I went baby shopping. Just for the general stuff and then after buying it she would say "Act surprised at your baby shower". So I will need to remember to act surprised! Then Monday night I was on my way back to Phoenix after one LONG weekend. IT was so worth it, but once again so tiring!

What is new....

Not to much is going on. I am four months pregnant and still get reminded every time I go to the doctors that I am pregnant. I know that sounds funny but because Derek isn't here and we don't know the gender and I am not at all sick....I just don't feel pregnant. I told Derek this past week that if all a of my pregnancies are like this one then I can handle 10 kids. Just kidding, but I could handle a few. I have been very blessed these past couple of weeks to have some good friends of mine out here in Arizona to help keep me busy. Ashley Knapp just moved out here and Chelsea Knapp is coming today for a couple of months in her off semester of school. I love having friends close by. Work has been crazy busy. With everyone going on vacations I have been working 40 hours a week and it has been kicking my butt a little. Hopefully everything will go back to normal once school starts up again. In two weeks I get to fly out to california to photography a wedding. I will be able to spent some of that time with Derek which I am so excited about. Then it will only be two more weeks until he is home for good! Oh I just can't wait!!!!

The visit....

I have been working so much that I realized I have not had anytime to blog. Last week my parents and Morgan were here all week. We did tons of shopping, cleaning, and getting ready for the baby. We even took a day off and went up to Sedona and looked around for the day. It was a super good week and I loved having them here. Then on Saturday Derek flew in and we went out to dinner and bowling. On Sunday we all went to church and then all hung out all day. Then Monday morning I took Derek back to the airport at 6:30am and my parents left at 9am. It was seriously a crazy week, but I loved every minute of it. Also that week was the 4th off July. This year my parents, Morgan and I went to the Diamondbacks game and watched the fireworks show there. That morning we went to the pancake breakfast for our ward. It was a tiring day that is for sure.
