Beach days....

We went in July to two different beaches. We first went to Santa Monica beach with our friends Jessica, Josie & Daphne. Then we went to Ventura with Nana, Papa and Morgan. Both were fun and Summer loved playing in the sand and getting in the water.

Attacked by the kitty

So I want to take this opportunity to say how amazing my Summer girl is. Recently at my parents Summer wanted to play with the cat oreo. I wanted to take pictures of her. Well she went to touch oreo and got scratched. After getting scratched she came back and wanted to make things right with oreo so she kept trying to pet him. Summer is such a sweet girl!

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we did a lot of hanging out at home with family. Because of the age of our children, it was heaven on Earth. We got to my parents house at 2pm for a BBQ. We started swimming around 4pm which was nice because it was still warm out but not too warm. We swam for a hour or so and then we hung out in the backyard till 7pm. We changed clothes and then went to our apartment. The fairgrounds and Jethawks stadium sit right out side our back door so we hung out in our apartment till fireworks started then stood outside and we were able to see both shows. It was a great day and good night. After everyone left at 11pm I went to bed because I had to be up at 330am for work the next day. Well Summer got a high fever of 102 and bumps and she had a hard time sleeping so I feel asleep at 230am and woke up at 330am. Great day, but one rough night.

Water bug

In the last month or so we have been doing so much swimming and Summer is a little water bug. I love it. She has arm floaties now and loves swimming on her own. We obviously keep a close eye on her, but she is swimming and kicking like no other. We also went to the Aquarium of the Pacific the other day down in Long Beach with Nana and Papa and that was fun but it had the museum feel to it. I like theme parks so much better.  For our Anniversary this year Derek bought me my own Driver. It is a cobra driver and hot pink. We went out to the driving range and I loved hitting it. It is so much fun. I told him I would like to learn golf piece by piece, because I don't want to feel like an idiot just going on the course and not knowing what to do.
