Three for the price of one!

Today I am sharing 3 cards with you.  They are the same layout, but open differently and are different sizes.  So you get three for the price of one.

This first one is a small card, about 3.5" x 2.5".  My friend Judy gave me the template and we made cards by it one day when we were playing.    I used Stampin' Up! cardstock in Rose Red, Old Olive and Pink Pirouette  for this one and none SU designer paper.
Inside there is a pocket which holds a little card that pulls out.  I used the new Blossom \Bouquet Triple Layer Punch for the flowers.  The top one gives you something by which to pull out the middle.
Then I decided I wanted to make my own template to make a full-sized card.  Here is that one.  Again Olive and Rose Red and Pink Pirouette were used.   I used a plate or lid or something to cut the half circle (I forget what).  You can use anything to make a half circle for the sides on this one.
This one has alittle more inside because it's a bigger card and there's more room.  I used the Decorative Label punch topped with the Curly Label punch for the sentiment.  That quote is from the For All You Do set.
Here is a close-up of that label and sentiment.
And finally, I decided why do we need to pull out that center.   So I made this one.  For it, you have to untie the ribbon, but no matter.  This card uses the Tangerine Tango cardstock for it.
Inside I decided I wanted a sentiment but also room to sign it, so I made two areas for that.

I used the Decorative Label punch for the backing and the Wide Oval punch in whtie for the sentiment.
There's plenty of room here for you to sign your name.

Hope you like these three.  Come back soon, OK?

Happy Valentines Day!

I've been saving my favorite Valentine to post on Valentines Day.  This one I made for my hubby and he is going to love it!  I've been seeing some of these heart "chests"--some as a suit and dress and some as bride and grooms.  But of course I had to do one with a red dress for Valentines.

I love this sentiment stamp from the For All You Do set--"for all you do, for all you are, for all you mean to me...."   Well, that says it all except, "I love you", which is what I stamped on the inside.  My husband is the nicest guy, always trying to please me.  He is a good sport--he wears red for Valentines when we go out to dinner and yesterday for our church Valentines dinner.  Little things like that I know he does just  to make me happy and I love him for that, well, and a whole bunch more.
The card itself is Basic Grey with a white and a Real Red layer.  I punched hearts from Marina Mist blue and added that as the top layer.

For the "bodies" on the card, I punched them using the Heart  punch.  I sponged some red on "her" so it would look like shadows under her curves.  Can you see where I added two pink circles to create cleave?  Cute!  And I had to put a pearl necklace around her neck!  I cut the heart and created folds for the lapels on "his" jacket.  His tie is a piece of Marina Mist folded to look like a tie.

I've had this card ready for hubby for a month.  I will give it to him later this morning, or perhaps over our Valentines dinner tonight.  I know he's going to like it!

Have a great Valentines Day yourself.  We all have ONE person who loves us, but my wish is for you to have many, many people who love you!!

Hand Soap Holders

Have you seen these little holders somewhere else? If not, I thought I'd share them with you. The pattern for this little holder for waterless hand soaps from Bath and Body Works was first shared by Erica Cerwin. She showed Halloween ones on her blog. I modified the instructions a bit to make the box sturdier. I plan to teach this at my stamp club's September meetings, but wanted to show you here. Below is the front of the box. I decorated it using the For All You Do stamp set. I think what you call the technique I used on the top flower "kissing". I stamped the flower in Daffodil Delight ink and then rolled the edge of it around on Poppy Parade.

Here is a side view. And also a view of the inside.
I'll be posting the instructions later, after I teach this at club. I carry these little hand clearners in my purse all the time and could not resist ordering a bunch of them. I plan to make some to give out at little hostess gifts when we go to dinner with friends, too.
I decided the box needed a catch so I cut a circle Velcro closure in half to add at the bottom.
Thanks for visiting today. Come back often! Smiles, Laura
