Yikes!
The Kraft Plus challenge will have you buzzing.
Which gave my lines some awesome texture.
Getting busy and creating something.
I was quite honoured to be asked to create something for my gorgeous friend Ronda
I used a couple of stencils from her range at The Crafter’s Workshop
I created these two cards (the lower one using a Scrapmatts coffee pot)
And a layout.
You can read how I made them HERE
I really love stencils and love being able to use them in different ways.
Hope something inspires you to create.
Second page from the July 2013 Publication
My page ”Snow Happy”

And different textures on this page.
A little stamping and embossing.
Some washi tape.
Altering chipboard with nail polish.
She wasn’t too sure about the snow to start with.
But once she threw a snowball or two…
She was happy!

My Scrapmatts creations for October
Were quick ones
Because school holidays took up the first two weeks
But that also meant there was time for enjoying the sunshine
As well as thinking about the months ahead
And what they hold
What is/was October like for you?
The new One Little Word is Want
It led me to share this story
It’s a story that would ordinarily be lost as life moves along
but now it’s captured
Because I felt it was a moment that held more than just a purchase at the shops
It held a moment that a mother of a teenager will hold close to her heart forever
And that moment is priceless
And if I could really capture it…
I’d bottle it up
And spread it on my toast everyday
So I could savour the happiness that came across her face
Sometimes it is the simple things
And I want more of those!
Products Used:
From D-lish Scraps: Resin stars, Fancy Edge Bow, Kraft Journal Card, mini star sequins in green, Washi Tape – Bokeh,
Washi Tape – Rainbow Spot, Heart Pin, Dyed Wooden Butterflies, and Black Motex tape
Scrapmatts: Dress form and chevron
Sometimes keeping it simple is best.
Sometimes just story and pictures is all you need.
Sometimes it’s better that way.
Well, I think it is.
Sometimes you really don’t need to say much.
Because simple says what is needed.
Sometimes you can’t go wrong with simple.
All the chipboard used in this blog post are from scrapmatts.
A couple of weeks ago I had an awesome email hit my inbox
Informing me that I had been selected for the Creative Team at Jot Magazine
I’m grateful for this new adventure.
If you haven’t read the first issue, I can highly recommend it.
Go see it HERE
And while you are there
Mood Board Challenge 6 is up and running
Mints and purples.
Mints I could do a little
Purples.. hmmm not so much!
I don’t do lots of purple
And it seems scrapbooking manufacturers don’t do much either.
It was a struggle but I did find some/made some.
I painted a tag, cup and saucer from Scrapmatts
Punched some stars then backed with some purple cardstock.
Painted a resin chrysanthemum, from D-lish Scraps, with some purple paint.
Added a mint coloured die cut
And a purple heart button (also from D-lish)
Then added my journaling
Using some purple Motex tape (also found in the D-lish Scraps store)
And placed this over a soft purple painted doily.
I love the colour combo.
I love that this story is told
