| We were blessed to have my dad participate in A's baptism. As I was standing up front, holding our little girl, listening to dad charge us as parents about our GREAT responsibility to "raise her up in the ways of the Lord" I felt a sense of helplessness. Essentially her physical needs are 'easy' (for now) to meet but her spiritual needs can only be met through hearing that there is no sweeter name than Jesus. Jesus, the reason we had our child baptized. We give her back to Him as He gave her to us. Without Jesus we are all helpless babes looking for the water that satisfies our soul! |
