36 weeks down

Almost there

There is something about being 36 weeks pregnant and seeing all of A's
little clothes hanging in her closet that makes it seem real. No, these last 4 weeks
are not going to last forever, regardless of feelings and A will arrive
in God's timing and not a minute sooner.
Yes, He is our God and I will praise Him, not only for the blessing
in carrying this child, a covenant child, but for His endless
mercy, grace and forgiveness!

The Chair

Husber and I like going to estate sales simply because you never know what you will find.
Tonight we stumbled upon this antique child chair that I thought too sweet
to just walk past without at least contemplating buying!
It just needed a little dusting to be part of our 'living room' decor. 

Butter and Syrup

Thanks to mama D and I now have a waffle maker.
I tried it tonight  and the only mess was moving the
iron and finding the overflow on the counter. Yes, now I know
why mama always put a plate or pan underneath it!

Christmas Happenings

I have been quite lax in my blogging recently! It seems I have just now gotten back into a routine from all
our Christmas traveling.  D is back at work and I am trying to be patient in waiting for
the arrival of our first little one!
Even though the airports were busy, we were thankful to cut our travel time down tremendously!
Christmas was delightful, visiting with family and catching up with friends.
These pictures are evidence that the men in the H household had a good time at the range,
while the women folk prepared the meal, tended to kiddos, and caught some 'deals'
from stores purging their shelves of Christmas tack.
It feels good to be 'settled' once again, but oh so thankful to share Christmas break with
those we love!
