Morning Meditation

>> Sunday, February 15, 2009

I got up from bed a little over an hour ago. The whole house is quite. Everyone is still asleep including the dogs. Even the neighbors are still in dreamland. The only noise I can hear are the birds chirping away outside.

I got out the room and walked around the house. It's nice to have some quiet time before all the jungle starts doesn't it? I was enjoying the serenity of it all. I was starting to meditate about the things to come, my plans, my goals and the things I need to get done.

I started to feel recharged, inspired and motivated to start another busy week.

This is how my day should start every day. This is how everyone especially busy moms like us should start the day to prepare us for our hectic and crazy schedules.

I think this is something I will be doing regularly. It helps prepare my mind for the challenges and stress I will be facing thoughout the day.

I came across these informative resources about how to effectively meditate in the morning that you might be interested in: Morning Meditation and Open Mind, Open Body.

Do you have your own way of meditating in the morning? What do you do?

Best Time

>> Wednesday, February 4, 2009

"God is always on time, never behind and never ahead. Happy is the man who learns to wait as he Prays and never loses Patience with God. For God's time is the best time!"

I received this forwarded text message from my Tita Nits earlier. I just thought of sharing it because it made a lot of sense to me.

We are all so caught up everyday with meeting deadlines, completing tasks and trying to reach our personal goals the soonest possible time. We forget to look at all the good things that we have already accomplished. As well as be satisfied and thankful for what we have now.

Of course, it does not mean that you just stop working on the smaller tasks that will make you reach your personal goals. It is more of reminding us not to be caught up so much with reaching the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. We will all get there. When? In God's time.

Happy Birthday Papa!!!

>> Tuesday, January 20, 2009

It is my Papa's 56th birthday today! I just want to say thank you for giving him another birthday to celebrate...

Nearly two months ago, Papa was in the ICU because his lungs were filled with water and he could not breathe. He was in the ICU and under sedation breathing thru a ventilator for nearly 5 days. We were all worried here in the Philippines and felt very helpless since it was only Papa and Mama in Saudi. Good thing we had very nice neighbors and friends who are like family already who helped my parents there.

Miraculously, Papa's condition stabled and before the second week he was able to go home from the hospital to fully recover. My many thanks to all that prayed and supported us during this very tough time.

Truly, God is good.
