Clearsnap and CardMaker Blog Hop

Hello!  I'm so excited to be sharing a couple projects for today's blog hop with Clearsnap and the CardMaker teams.  A big thank you to Clearsnap for sending me a selection of chalk inks to use today.  I appreciate their generosity!

I love the properties of chalk inks.  The colors are so vibrant and dry to a lovely, matte finish.  Clearsnap has such a great variety of colors in this range too.

You should have arrived from Chana Malkah Harris's blog.  I've posted the full list below for all the participants, in case you've missed any stops along the way.

Lisa Silver *** You are HERE ***

Without further ado, here are my projects.

Many Thanks

I had gratitude in mind today with both of my cards!

I think this card came together in about 15 minutes.  I used Lipstick Red, Cheeky (pink), Chive (green), and Splash (a light turquoise blue color) to stamp this card.  These colors are so cheerful together!

I lightly marked in pencil on a panel of solar white cardstock where I wanted my sentiment to be.  The easiest way to do this is to set the clear sentiment in place without the acrylic block.  The reason I did this was to ensure the sentiment was going to be on top of any flowers added around it.

I stamped the flowers to frame this area and allowed to completely dry.  I then stamped the sentiment.  The quick addition of the leaves and a few dots of Splash ink finishes the card.  It's a fast design that would be also be perfect if you have multiples to make.  You could also swap out the sentiment for a great birthday or anniversary card.

One thing to note is how well these inks work with clear stamps.  Sometimes larger, "flat" images can stamp mottled or unevenly with some inks.  This is just not the case with Clearsnap's chalk inks.  The impression is solid and crisp.  I just love how well they worked!

thanks

This card has a colorful background created from multiple small images.  I used Lipstick Red, Cheeky, and Splash again.  I just LOVE this color combination!  These chalk inks stamp so cleanly and with great saturation of color.

The finished background reminded me of doodles in a notebook, not that I was ever inattentive at school.  ;)

To keep with the school theme, I used an old EK Success punch to add a bit of notebook edge flair.  The bubble letter sentiment seemed like the thing to do and was colored with a Prismacolor Pink (PC929) pencil.

These colors just make me smile!!!

I'd love it if you'd hop along to Kymona Tracey.  To add to the fun, Clearsnap is hosting a giveaway of $50 worth of ColorBox products, so be sure to comment along the way for a chance to win.

Thank you for visiting,
Lisa

Creating with Clearsnap Blog Hop

Hello!

I'm really excited to be a part of the CPS Design Team (with weekly sketches by Tami Mayberry).  We're hopping along today to showcase some of our favorite products... and to be honest, they are NUMEROUS!

We're all loving Tami's stamps.  And our favorite inks are Clearsnap - the official ink sponsor for the CPS and Tamy Mayberry Stamps Design Teams.  It's a match made in heaven!  Are you ready to see my project using a couple of my favorites?

You Rock!

I couldn't resist pairing a few bright colors for a wild card.  In fact, when my daughter saw this project, she asked if it was for anyone she knows (hint, hint).  I guess I'll be writing a love note to a special daughter this week.  ;)

Next on the hop is Keri Lee Sereika - so if you landed here and didn't know about the hop, the full list is below.  I believe if you make it back to Tami's blog with comments along the way, a prize may be in the offing.

The entire hop list is below:

Thanks for visiting and hopping with us today!

CPS 5th Anniversary Day 12 with Clearsnap

Welcome to Day 12 of the CPS 5th Anniversary Celebration.

Welcome! I'm hosting today's sketch challenge.

I have been stamping for about 7 years, 5 of those years on various design teams.  I was honored to join CPS in December of 2009.  Perhaps it's a bit of OCD, but I love having a project plan... I love having the road map, which sometimes I follow closely or interpret for a little side-trip!  I also love the camaraderie of this amazing team.  Have you seen the line up of designers I get to work with each week?

Besides CPS, I design for Outlines Rubber Stamps and DiscountCardstock.com.  When I'm not crafting, I am a wife and mother (of two wonderful children).  I work in the chemical industry by day and love crafting for it's therapeutic properties.  I also love to read, spend time with my family and travel.

An all-time favorite CPS project was a more recent project for CPS Sketch # 250.

I just loved this project because of the mash-up of patterned paper, stamping and embellishments.  Creating just gives me joy.

For today’s sketch I chose CPS #118.

CPS Sketch # 245 - Clearsnap

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is Clearsnap!

Vintage Stamps

I've always loved Clearsnap's Rollagraph system.  The roller stamp images are so detailed!  I love the Faux Postal Rollagraph image and rolled an entire series of the stamp images.  I colored and cut a couple of them for my card front.
Thanks for visiting and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

CPS Sketch # 240 - ClearSnap

Hello!  It's time for another CPS sketch.  This week's sponsor is ClearSnap!

Holly Jolly Christmas

OK... so it's a bit early to be thinking of holiday cards.  Or is it?  I'm never ready on time, so why not create in advance.  I'd love to be organized early so I can truly enjoy the season.

I just love the new Stephanie Barnard ColorBox dye inks by ClearSnap.  They are so luscious and perfect for use with clear stamps.  Just perfect.  And I've found that they hold up well to Copic markers.  I do heat set, but that's just a step I always have when stamping.

CPS Sketch # 233 - ClearSnap

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is ClearSnap!

All Zipped Up

This was a fun project to create.  I have been wanting to try my hand at a zipper rose for a long time.  I think it would have been a great deal easier if I'd used a zipper ribbon from Maya Road or someone, but I used a coat zipper from my sewing notions.  It worked, but I found that the zipper was really stiff and didn't want to stay on the Gluber.  To help my rose keep it's shape, I sewed it together, as I went along.

And to top it all off, I created my own delicious patterned paper with a mask and Ice Rink Smooch spray.  My finished project is positively shimmering!

lise

Hello!  It's time for another CPS sketch project.  This week's sponsor is The {Stamps} of Life by Stephanie Barnard.  The images are just ADORABLE!!!  Honestly!  I love to use their stamps - always a perfect, crisp image and loads of cuteness.

Just A Note

I created this project quickly with some favorite patterned paper sitting on my desk and the lovely Monogram2Build stamp set.  Super fast and simple.

CPS Sketch # 229 - Clearsnap

Hello!  It's time for another CPS Sketch project.  This week's sponsor is Clearsnap!!!!  I'm really excited to be creating with a new release from CHA called their Mix'd Media Inx.  They are luscious pigment inks that have such amazing color.  I can't wait until they expand the line to include other colors (and if that's not already in the works... I'm going to beg!).
Lacey

I did a lot of stamping on this project, since I really wanted to give those new inks a spin!  I stamped and embossed all the images for added shine and elegance on the card.

Thanks for stopping by,
lise
