Love Ya!

Remind me next time I do a shaker card to use some baby powder on the sides of the pop-up tape!  I'm not particularly fond of making shaker cards anyway, and finishing it to watch all my sequins and beads stick to the sides of the tape about did me in!  But Yay for me!  I just made a second shaker card and did remember to use some baby powder on the edges.  I managed to combine some goals with this card - a shaker card inspired by the Card Marker Success Summit, a card for the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge (Let's Paint the Town Red), and using some We Are 3 papers (Winter Plaid).  Woohoo!

New Release at We Are 3

There's a new paper collection at We Are 3, and it's beautiful.  It's called Canvas Scenes, and it has a lovely textured watercolor feel.  I chose an adorable sentiment from the Magical Sparkle set and glittered up some wonderful fashion accessories.

The design team is making some fab creations, so be sure to check the Facebook page for inspiration.  Better yet, let's see YOUR creations!

Ecal Users Group Virtual Meet Up

The ladies from the Ecal Users met up for the first time today and we had a fun time getting to know each other as we crafted our individual projects.  I got a little carried away prepping - so you'll be seeing lots of work from me this week....and hopefully enjoy them.  As soon as I saw the Unicorn freebie from Craft with Sarah, I knew I wanted to make it.  I had all the right colors in my stash, so it cost me nothing.

12 Days of Christmas Tags for Eclips Users

The current challenge at the Eclips Users Group is 12 Days of Christmas Tags.  WooHoo!  Now, this is always a challenge to be "creative" 12 days in a row!  LOL!  I adore a lot of what Miss Kate Cuttables puts out - but seldom take the time to use the svgs.  Today I had some time to play, so here is Miss Kate Cuttables" Tall Snowman.

I cut the tag at 5" tall.  I ADORE how it came out.

Romantic Hearts - New Release

My card today is Pinterest inspired. The papers are from the new Romantic Hearts collection. Quick and easy card to make.
The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch.  This was so easy to do - I'll be making more for sure.

Have Fun with Sparkle at Paper Ala Mode

Woo, Hoo!  It's Saturday and time for a new theme at Paper Ala Mode - Sparkle!  For my card, I embossed white cardstock, then fussy cut around the embossed frame.  I used glitter on my circle to give my card some sparkle.  I used Fall Maple Leaf from our sponsor, Fred She Said for an autumn touch.

Dress Dummy

I belong to a local scrapbooking group that holds a number of swaps with monthly themes. This month's theme for tags is "Little Black Dress."

This tag uses the image Dress Dummy by Sarfraz Shoukat.  This isn't a great picture....the dress and hat are actually black glitter.  The background is Silver Foil digital paper, matting the tag with black.

Glitter and Wood

Hello, Everyone!  I'm back today with my first Glitter-Vinyl project.  I love looking at all the vinyl projects online - so many possibilities - only limited by my imagination.  That's where I run into problems.  LOL!

Today I created a sign for my neighbor, a Harry Potter fan.  I opted for glitter vinyl rather than painting - perhaps a mistake.  However, I did get my toes wet in HTV, for a first project I'm pleased.
Here is the birthday card.

We Are 3 Ladybugs - Lace and Garden

For the card I want to share with you today, I used Raindrops On Roses (Heartfelt Creations) to extend a small square to create an A2 card.  The layers are distressed with glitter beads added to match the glittered flowers.  For papers, I used Ladybug Lace and Bird Songs - flowers are Ladybug Garden - all new releases from We Are 3.

Photos below show detail of the card - glitter and dimension.

Be sure to visit We Are 3 for these beautiful papers and images.

Celebrate Thanksgiving with Leftovers

Today is Thanksgiving - and I'm sure a logical blog post would be a Thanksgiving card.  However, I'm all about the leftovers!  So I hope this card sparks some ideas for using your leftover paper scraps!

Big Sister's Brag Book Using Neutral Baby Colors

We were invited to a "Baby-Reveal" party today.  I tried to think of a clever, inexpensive, last-minute gender-neutral gift - came up empty.  Instead I opted for a gift for the new baby's big sister - a Big Sister's Brag Book (accordion style).  Here is what I came up with.

And, of course, we need some nice packaging.

Recycle It - Vacation

0716_sbcrecycleit
Hello!  Welcome!  Today I'm excited to share a layout FOR ME!  I'm so often making layouts for others.  My inspiration was Scrapbook Challenge's "Recyle It" challenge - themed Vacation - and using a mood board (July 2016).

Fairy Box Card

Here is my design for Get Creative Challenges, sponsored by Nikki Burnette.  Her fairy images are so beautiful!  This week's theme is Bingo!  I chose to go diagonally with Glitter, Printed Paper, and Blue.  I hit the jackpot with all three of these in the dotted blue cardstock - hard to see in the pic, but the dots are glitter embossed!

Be sure to play Bingo with us at Get Creative Challenges!

Chirper

Welcome to my first Christmas card for this year.  Just found the ABC Christmas Challenge and had lots of fun browsing their designers' samples.  So many beautiful and inspirational cards.  This week's theme is "F - Frills or No Frills."  Here's my entry with both Frills (foil and glitter) and No Frills (clean and simple design).

Loving Scraps this Christmas!

Thanks so much for joining me this season so see my many Christmas cards (should be close to 160 this year if I finish my list).  Aren't Christmas cards fun?  I am now enjoying them that I'm on the downswing - about ten more to go.  I have a simple beauty for you today.

The gold-glittered mulberry paper is paper I bought when I first began scrapping 11 years ago.  I knew eventually I would find the perfect use for it.  The poinsettia is one of many I have leftover from a scrapbooking class I taught at an assisted-living home years ago.  Today - a four-minute project...what a treat!

Glittered Snowflakes

There's just something about snowflakes on Christmas cards!  Just the beauty of the season.  So this card made from scraps celebrates Christmas in a traditional way.

Welcome, Dreaming Tree

Today I am using a free file - Spooky Coffin - from the Dreaming Tree.  The Dreaming Tree is a new company - their work so far has a nice masculine touch we don't often see - they have some lantern files that just leaves me in awe.  I cannot wait to see what Leo will do with new files over the coming months!  This coffin was easy to put together and is just the right size for Halloween treats for that special Spook!

Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge

In today's post, Viva la Verve shares their weekly sketch challenge.  This sketch is easy - whip up an entry in about ten minutes!  I'm proud once again to get rid of some scraps....even the bow was already made - a leftover from another project.
