Outlawz Challenges Sunday Songs and Rhymes - Let It Snow

The challenge this week for Songs and Rhymes is Let It Snow - Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow! The sponsor this month is Stix2. All the product I used in my card are scraps from when I used to teach classes; and, although you can barely see it, I embossed the edges of the diamond shape.

Featured Stamper at Splitcoast

This week at Featured Stamper, Diana Gibson is featured.  I was inspired by her Rustic Christmas because I had some stamp images in my stash I could finally break out.  But they didn't work for me after all, so I pulled out a Christmas sentiment instead.  I embossed the background with none other than woodgrain.  Pretty simple - I just added a rumpled bow.  Be sure to stop by Splitcoast to see the fabulous cards inspired by Diana.

Sending You Gift Pack Dreams

Today I managed to make a set of note cards for a gift pack when we travel. I used a little embossing, some papers from my stash, and sentiments from We Are 3.

These cards were really simple - which is about all I can handle these days with my hubby still recuperating from a bone infection.  But I think they turned out nicely just the same.

We are 3 - Good Luck

This month brings us one of my favorite holidays - St. Patrick's Day. I finally actually designed something that is a little more than quick and simple. I challenged myself to create a cutting file for a step card. Here's my finished card.
I really love the idea of being able to make a quick step card. The cute horseshoe is a We Are 3 pre-colored image - Good Luck. I used the Love SVG Happy St. Patrick's Day for my sentiment, and framed it with Arrows - Circles from Design Bundles. I added some shamrocks from my stash and jewels and sticker borders for a little bling. The green patterned paper is from We Are 3's Vintage Bird Collection. LOVE IT! Please stop by We Are 3's Facebook Page to view all the fabulous cards from the Design Team.

The Outlawz Color Challenge - Reflection

What a fun challenge this week at The Outlawz Color Challenge! But once again I failed to "remember" the details - and my card does not include a reflection! Of course, I couldn't resist still sharing the card with you.
Be sure to stop by the Color Challenge, though, to see all the fabulous reflective creations...please go play along.

Monday Greetings Challenge

This little girl is enjoying the Halloween season.  Today I used Daisy May Pumpkin Carving from Angie's Digital Stamps to create this cute Halloween card for The Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge.
For the background I used We Are 3's Orange Retro.  All the sentiments are from my stash.

My Monday Layout

Here's a scrapbook layout I made last night for my grandson - the last page of his current book.  This is one layout that just came together for me.  I always use a sketch of some kind - and mid-process, I get somewhat frustrated because it's either not enough or too much...and I never seem to know what to add or what to get rid of.  For this layout, however, it just all came together.  I always wish I could share photos of my wonderful grandkids - but can't do that.  The photo here is of my grandson digging into a plate of food - all smiles.  I try to always make the first and last pages of a book something special - therefore, the "Yummy Ending" title.  I have to laugh - I pulled out the green scalloped circle from a box of scraps - not even realizing until today that the wording is perfect for a food page....sure wish, though, he was home eating carrots!  LOL!

A Fun Layout with Boy and his Toys

Of course, no boy's scrapbook is would be complete without layouts with big-boy toys. Here is a layout for my grandson's book with him playing on a train, riding a tractor, and helping his grandfather repair a bike. (Sorry, no photos allowed)

We Are 3 Table Scraps

Hello!  I'm back with another frilly cad made from Table Scraps from We Are 3 projects.  The blue bottom layer and bottom half are from Tea Time.  Top layer is from Kerst Christmas.  Add doily, ribbon, sentiment, poinsettias, and music notes for a lovely Christmas card. (Oops!  Just noticed my hearts in the background are upside down!)

For Old Time's Sake

While cleaning out my craft room a while back, I came across the very first scrapbook layout I made about 12 years ago.  My dear hubby was under the impression I wanted to scrapbook, so surprised me with about $300 of supplies....the surprise was that I thought that was a rather stupid hobby!  The big surprise came later....since we were newlyweds and in a way he was "listening" to me (i used to make a lot of sarcastic remarks about wanting to retire and scrapbook), I didn't want to hurt his feelings and decided to take some classes.  OMG - it didn't take long for my excitement level to rise during these introductory classes!

So I found my first layout - and since the aim of cleaning was to get rid of stuff, I pondered what to do with this first layout.  I decided to case the layout for each of my grandson's scrapbooks.  This is my first case.

Awesome Outlawz Challenge: Paper Ala Mode

Today it's my pleasure to play along with the Paper Ala Mode Challenge at The Outlawz and Angie's Digital Stamps #9 - the designers' enthusiasm is contagious.  I know you're going to love what they've created today.  I'm excited to share my card using a gnome image from Paper Ala Mode's sponsor - Beccy's Place.

Work of Art

Hello!  Here today with a bright and cheerful scrapbook layout using Table Scraps.  Unfortunately, I can't share photos of my grandkids, but for this layout you have to imagine my two-year-old grandson - standing proud showing off his latest art work - which amounted to his body being covered with Sharpie marker!

Sketch Challenge with Atlantic Hearts

It's another beautiful week here in Sunny Sahuarita!  So today's Table Scraps are some awesome southwest flowers left over from a class I taught many years ago.  Today I thought they'd fit well on Atlantic Hearts' Sketch #209 - to be sent back to Michigan friends.  I was inspired by the sketch (turned upside down) - though any resemblance might be a stretch now.  LOL!

A Card for Mojo Monday #492

Hello, Everyone!

I have a card inspired by Mojo Monday's Sketch Challenge #492 today.  This card was created using Table Scraps - think I have five different paper companies represented here.  Hah!  Makes me think my paper tastes run pretty much the same all the time?

Christmas Card with Table Scraps

Today I am sharing a simple Christmas card made with Table Scraps.
