Hi everyone,
i just hope that every SR shooting can bring what we have learnt and cultivate during trainings and compeition along with you in life.
To my dearest Mr and Mrs Ng, i have really learn alot from you two and will always remember how persistence and endurence leads to results.
"Just focus and everything will follow"
To my batch's shooters, its a year of 21st for all of you.. hope we can gather together just like before.
To my juniors, i hope you guys can understand the attachment of us to the club, its nothing other than long trainings and tough fights. All of us knew we did our best, and thats really what we felt best for no matter whats the result. So for you shooters going out there representing SRJC, i hope your focus will be on each and every shot you make, and not chasing after results. And when it all ends, be proud of it because you have got nothing to regret about.
All the best to all of you for the competition then your 'A' levels!

oh man that’s with pros and cons..
wake up daily logging on and hope theirs an email reply..
and yet life isnt that aimless with those sports event coming up
just hope that I wont wake up one day and cant think of anything to do..

training programme for my singapore bi hasn’t been going well due to my injured ankle..
netball..
still went for it this week.. and got my ankle worst a little..
oh well..
just swim and swim and hope it gets well really soon..
friday batam cable ski and sat biathlon swim trial..

went back SRJC yesterday..
the school has changed so much

the turn out rate isnt that much..
got to know the current teacher in charge..
haha.. just another teacher la..
no one can manage the club like how Mr Ng did
had a chat with Mrs Christina Tan
but sadly she is the only teacher there.. oh well.
just hope SR’s shooting will spark for the last time this year..

Got the chance to host Joe from hongkong under the PAYM's exchange programme. Its an experience for me to actually host a person on my own. Kind of fun. So sad that cant go to the farewell dinner and to send him off. But well its a friendship made. He promised me a good time if i go over to hongkong in the future haha.

Went for netball again. Didnt turn out well. Got lost with fel due to the mistake of the bus driver. We didnt miss much when we reach nus high. But sadly, i ended up having a fatter left ankle. Thanks to all who helped. Its not that bad afterall. Had a hell of a time travelling back home that night.

Having the chubby left ankle. I could bearing walk for a day. And today i started walking very very slowly. I am a person who really cant stand slow walkers. Today i became one of them. I walked so slow to the extend that my heart beat shot up. Lol. But not all sad story. Slow down the walking. Slow down the pace. I see some things i dont used to see that much. Its refreshing ha

The injury really come at a bad time. Im ording. I want to wear my no.3 with my new rank. Team safsa training trial is on tomorrow. I want to be in the team. How screw i am? Oh man. Just wish someone wil come comfort me about it.

SRJC shooting is closing close. I thought my "captain's" cd can pass on at least for ten years. Devastated. Oh well. Lets go back for the last breathing sessions with my mates back in the range we built. Mm

The sense of Honour

ok..
so i went Taiwan and up post to CO sickbay..
missed 3 liberty and chance to take photos..
buy some stuff and home sweet home..
reached Singapore..
dear said she used her Polariod so much that all the 60 papers are used up..
hmm~ haha
oh.. another thing.. Polariod is a brand… not a thing..
instant cameras are what Polariod sell..
this misunderstanding made me going to Fujifilm and ask for Polariod quite stupidly..
oh well.. Polariod’s branding is too good i think
parade with the rest of the marching contingents makes us -  the GOH – feel a sense of pride and honour..
cannot imagine how wonder when we go full dress in Padang..
went cable ski with my mates..
fantastic experience once im able to get it out there and turn some rounds..
but well.. superman-ed coupled of times on the sharp turns
and bang into the water like never before..

finally… there is a 2S17 class outing…
hmm.. it turn out not that bad as i tot..
guys into NS and girls into unis…
nice la…
going to have my SR134 out next week..
hope there wont be some sudden shit to interrupt C:

but for me.. its all for the honour..

finally.. im going back where i belong..

these few months has been somewhat a holiday to my NSF life..
fruitful indeed..
went tioman with my regular leave left..
made some new friends with lai..
remembering how NDU’s CWO used to tell us.. alot of divers convert their military license to leisure cert but never dive since their time in ndu..
hoho.. i haven ORD.. but did some leisure dives liao…
thats nice..
haven even get my cert.. i got to dive liao.. wahhaha..

hoping my junior's result is fine..

End of the Haven

i think i have quite fully utilised this long weekend..
haha..
it started off with soccer at Cage..
pretty shagged out during the 2 hours..
went Kallange leisure park..
lunched… then entered British Indian..
made one of their cubicle into our wardroom..
well.. we did buy some clothes when we exit hours later…
then went to VJC to check it out with Tiong Tang and Nat..
reached there and entered their “chill-out” room.. lol..
enjoyed playing the table soccer and pool..
in air condition the whole way..
thats what a top 5 JC will provide for their student man..
Tiong took his SGC and we went Parkway Parade..
round 2 of the shopping trip..
reached home and busying try to design our hell week shirt..
but well..
i really cant complete it..
just the background ba..
sians..
went kim seng at night with my fellow batch boys..
and home at next morning 3+..
when 6am… i woke up for the Will Run at SRJC..
not too bad..
at least i covered 16 to 17km that morning.. haha..
with Jared accompanying me the whole way..

the need of studying the diving book is really suck..
but well.. the consequence of not studying is worst..
so … back to the book..

went back to SRJC just now to collect my SGC..
was a couple of ex-SRJCians too..
Felix and Jian Hao were 2 of a few..
didnt manage to get a clear shot during the College Day..
so now.. Imagination.Character.Values thats the juice of our new Vision
and the SRJC Tree…
Bai Nian Shu Ren was written on the metal plate infront..
thats all the changes ba.. haha..
life in NDU is… i can say very very relax for the week..
went for Land Demolition on Monday..
got the blow the Bangalore Torpedo..
and to prime the PE
we observed how much the impact that the explosive produces and seen the detonation wave
some how we tend to forget the 1 min of silence that need to be observe after each blow..
Sea Swim on Tuesday and Wednesday..
a 40mins run on Thursday..
and the rest of the time was just mere resting..
and finally on friday..
30th Batch handed us the DVS flag.. our course flag in another words..
Shern got the honor to be the one representing the 31st Batch to collect it from our seniors..
after that.. we had a session with our PC and CSM.. sharing sessions..
but somehow the sharing sessions turned into a crying session..
i can say 80% of us cried at the moment..
when we reflect and think about our time in NDU as the 31st Batch…
its Team Building Week this coming week..
we will be again seeing some of us going off due to their respective reasons..
and i really hope no one will go up to any of the instructors to say that they want to quit
this is a test.. i would say it is a test of a life time..
for Singapore.. its only NDU..
i think im really fortunate to be selected to be trained in here…
and i never regret i made this decision to come here before my Airgrading..

instructors promise us that we will be treated like Kings.. before the breakout
and when the time comes..
i think they will make sure we become dogs

got to know about this Phiten band first from Ian..
then i realise actually my Warrant and Master have been wearing the neckband
so Ian and i went to Takashimaya straight after we booked out yesterday to purchase the band..
its quite cool looking.. but the function is even so
after that i went back to SRJC..
Shooting Camp
went chatting with my fellow shooters and juniors
well.. my SRJC will be certainly less colour without this group of friends
shared alot of craps that happened in NDU with them
shooting competition for the A division level will be just nationals
no more zonal
hmm.. after getting the news from Mr Ng.. i wonder if SRJC’s Shooting will last for long

Monday.. the first working day after i collected my a level results..
i went back to Bedok South Secondary School..
i saw quite a few of my teachers who taught me before..
Mrs Mah Ms Shek Mrs Djie were very happy to be seeing my results..
good enough to enter a local university..
Mrs Mah told me that she is glad that i got those results..
and especially happy that i went down there to show her personally
i went back BDS because i think that they were the ones who gave me the final push when a levels were closing last year…
it was after my prelims as i recalled..
and i remembered crying when i was walking out of the school
im glad that they are happy about it..
Ms Arabham happens to see me when i was talking to Ms Shek..
and Ms Shek said.. “this student.. from sec 5na.. made it to a JC and then made it into local uni..”
next.. Ms Arabham requested me to come back during may..
for their post exam period to give my juniors a moltivational talk..
me?… a motivational talk?.. oh well.. im really not sure if i can do that..
but i hope my story can arise hopes from them..

i went blog hopping just now..
i went through people with good a level score.. and those who really screwed up..
i really hope those people who regreted screwing up their a levels to remember how they felt when they receive their results..
the moment of sadness disappointment and devastation…
if you guys are going to repeat..
you will need a huge amount of push and motivation to face the hell again
its really not easy.. i know.. not because i went through it..
but because im good in putting myself into shoes..
for those who decides to go private…
dont just go there because thats a easier option..
go there with the mindset of winning get the game that you lost..
we will graduate one day..
the day may not be the same..
but we all will graduate..

it was Friday..
2pm..
i dropped of bus service 55 with other SRJCians..
i walked fast..
straight into the school compund..
straight into my lovely shooting range..
the range wasnt open yet..
Amelia and Wanyin was outside with my some of my known and unknown juniors
Ms Lin came after awhile..
nervousness had his way around my body..
just cant do anything much at all
its around time..
the few of us made our way to the hall..
saw Mr Yang along the way,,
he didnt say much.. just, “you can wait and see la”
well well..
i saw Jun Liang in his Army uniform
and went forward to hug this long time no see buddy
other 2S17 guys were there as well..
waiting for Lennon..
we settled down..
out of a sudden.. Mrs Sim shouted my name loudly..
”Lin Qiang and the group of people!.. LET MOVE FORWARD!!!”
i tot what man..
lol..
Mrs Soh had her time..
and then Mr Tan took the stage..
he announced the improvements of respective subjects in terms of % passes..
followed by the top students..
the score was from 80 to 90..
i know i cant be one of them..
so i was looking out for anyone that i know and clapped loudly for them..
Oswald Jin Bin Bryan Yam Bryan Han Joanne Sheena
they did well..
and then there is the overall top student who managed to get a Straight As and score the prefect 90 full score..
its SRJC here.. and he did it..
so happy to just clap for him..
after that..

Mr Tan specially mention some of us
and i was one of them..
he said that i was from sec 5NA and manage to score a pretty decent score in JC..
i stood up and there was tears of joy again
Sheena was mentioned too..
she took up H3 econs and score a Merit for it
then there is a moment that Mr Tan had to specially mention 2 classes that was special..
and 2S17 again.. was one of them..
with a mean score of 70.1 if i remembered clearly
next.. we were to queue up to collect our result slip
many of my shooters and other schoolmates congrates me and im very thankful for that..
Audrey and Felicia gave a hug.. and im happy for their result too..
i went around to try to look for teachers..
i saw Ms Raj
she was very happy that i finally passed my GP
although it was an E.. but its still a pass..
what a relief man..
Ms Low was next..
she said that i met her expectation for acing her Physics and hold some hope for her to continue pushing her students..
hahaha
then i saw Mrs Sim at the paging room
she told me that she was the one that told Mr Tan that he need to specially mention me for what i’ve been doing last year.. and i really do deserve it..
went back to shooting range and met up with some of my batch’s shooters.. and Trendy..
went to Icecube and then Liquid Garden for dinner
and finally..

CCA Recruitment

i was annoyed by bits and pieces of plastic bags round the house..
so i decided to pack them up yesterday..
damn…
there are at least a thousand of it…



went to play badminton with Xiong Wei Jin Bin and Ting Shun
then went back to SRJC for their CCA Recruitment Day…
there were really big changes around..
some were great…
some were lousy..
like.. the canteen..
we were complaining that the canteen is too small to accommodate the 2 levels during lunch and breaks..
with the renovation..
the canteen LOOKS spacious.. but they really really defeat the purpose of renovating it..
i dont think the problem is close to solving

January
the year started quickly..
JC2 now.. no more playing and fooling around..
got a change of teachers
for General Paper.. Mrs Josephine Wong is replaced by Ms Joanne Raj..
for Economics.. Mrs Christina Tan to Mrs Sim Lay Peng
for Maths.. Mr Tan Soi Cheng to Mr Chong
For Chemistry.. Mrs Jess Wong to Mr Kenneth Yang
for Physics.. Mr Lim Teck Seng to Ms Low
for PE.. Mr Alan Tan to Mr Teng
yes it is.. the whole change in the teacher squad for 2007's 1S20, 2008's 2S17
Lennon and Huay Xhin replaced Baron and Guan Jie..
miss the two Chong Hua jokers lots man..
and distinctively Lennon was loner and kept to himself for a few weeks..
sat at one corner and stone his way through the lessons..
until when Jun Liang and i brought him into the guys group..
celebrated Jun Liang's 18th at his place..
saw his Mother for the first time.. wow,, beautiful man..
and young too haha..
had a great time with the others playing xbox and taboo..
orientation for the first intake started on the second next..
the whole duration for the orientation..
only 10 was left in class..
the rest are OGLs and Games-ic
i remembered one very lesson with Mrs Sim..
8 of us stand at the back of the class..
and left with 2 having tutorial with her.. haha..
forget the reason for that already..
study group was formed..

Audrey had a secret then.. leading for the Yangshuo Trip..
and now.. she has found her love and im so very glad..
harsh and cruel studying stress builds up quickly..
i remember i found it hard to even breath properly..
and issues started to shoot up suddenly every now and then..
CCA fair for the first intake was a sucky one..
people just come as they like..
had a few shots and few and thats it..
the second time was better.. we got to choose properly with Mr Ng and Ms Lin's technique
remembered how harsh we are on this 560 guy.. haha
Shooting training was getting more intense..
NTU NUSIS and Nationals coming our way..
i believe all my shooters will always remembered how hard they train
and also felt the bitterness when results doesnt show up with their increase in hardwork
fortnights after fortnights... we all grew as a team..
achieved my first achievement of the year..
completed my 100km challenge..
Mr Teng urged me to go for 200km and i did..
i never thought i could finish 200km in this year..
well well.. its something to keep me moltivated..
February
Chinese New Year given all of us a break from school..
especially this year..
the break was really well enjoyed..
visited my former secondary school and caught up with my teachers..
hope they are still doing well now
felt like a De Javu...
the same quarter of the year..
JC1.. and JC2.. the threat to destroying my own relationship...
its my own fault
come to think about it..
these 2 experience made me realise that i actually love my girlfriend more than i imagine..
i still kept the letter that my girlfriend sent me..
Jun Liang was there for me.. cried my heart out in the toilet with him..
returning back to class.. i think Mr Chong knew somehow that i have problems and gave that look to me..
greatly appreciated
NTU Invitational Shoot..
the team all did pretty well..
most of them got their personal best..
i could remember Wanyin was on a super train to perfection..
and most of them had their first external shoot unlike Timo and i..
during the celebration at Swesens after the NTU shoot..

i exited the live of a loner and came off to be an independent person..
thanks to my gf again..
new J1s officially joined Shooting..
and the Shooting camp started quite soon..
Shuqi overall incharge the camp and i assisted her in everyway i can..
theres some ups and downs during the camp and i think all of us grew together..
dont know the J1s.. but i know the J2's bond is a hard one to break
April
parents night was a shocking one..
my Mother was told that im top 30 in the cohort when there were Us and Ss..
Mr Yang briefed us on the plan of the year.. and what to expect as we faces the ultimate goal..
that really was a helpful one i thought
the release of A level Chinese and PW results..
both Bs for me..
i thought i would fair better in PW.. but well B is Satisfaction for me.. as look from right now
SR Olypmics..
never really enjoy it ..
just looking around and cheering for Aquila..
Ryan Tan the muscle man impressed everyone with 9 Golds..

Shooting New Blood was chosen..
as of now..
though there are some regrets about the selections..
there is still a saving grace as long as Brenda remain as Captain..
my Brother got a new girlfriend..

Getting the Hang of it

went River Valley Building yesterday for Highachievers interview...
got a place in there liao..
finally a confirmed job for me..
but sadly.. because of this i have to forgo the gathering at Mr Yang's house
there will be an Orientation-to-Job Training on 29 Dec..
talking about getting the job..
Nash and Felix asked me for the contacts..
haha..
i think there will be a high chance to see some of the SRJCians during the camps..

went to the Air Force Museum this afternoon just after my driving lesson..

i didnt actually know Republic of Singapore Air Force was called Singapore Air Defence Command in the past..
and their logos has changed 3 times into the one on the right hand corner..

i made a call to our current MM Lee yo!

Jin Bing joined Jun Liang and me to this museum..
Jun Liang and i finally got the letter from RSAF for the interview that we were longing for..
finally finally...
for that.. we need to read up of RSAF... thats the thing...

went off to Harrison Road for the Converse Warehouse sales..
its until 25 Dec..
damn shoik man..
Brands like Converse Cooper Lee Everlast Kappa have their prices low until you experience some jaw bone fracture...
big big $10 marking is seen most of the places..
bought some new shirts and shoes which cost only $80..

Searching

Zouk's 4 JC party was ok..
danced with Lennon and Henry most of the time..
saw lots of SRJCians and some junior in BDS..
after the party at 3am.. the group of us went to Lao Ba Sa wanting for a meal.. but its not open yet..
we then continued to Kallang Mac for breakfast
and Brandon (not sure about the spelling) sent Ian and me home..
grateful for that.. haha
first driving lesson..
reached the driving centre with Xue Feng and his sister..
the number is 225 and i waited anxiously..
finally he came and the lesson started..
getting the vehicle moving is really thrilling for the first time..
haha.. let see what is there for me tomorrow..
met Rina and Shinie for Kbox at Marina Square..
both of them are late...
Shinie treated me subway's cookies.. how nice..
sang my heart out for the 4 hours there..

went prawning with Audrey just now..
3 hours of handling the rod..
kinda tired after that..
well.. managed to catch 11 prawn together with bff
and we bbq them at the pit provided..
how fresh was that.. bbq living prawn
haha
we then went to united square starbuck and full house..
saw WanLi at Bishan doing some body screening road show..
haha.. it was damn weird..

The Rich Chapter

went for Clay Shooting last Wednesday..
had something we didnt have the chance to shoot last time we came..
there is this rabbit..
well.. only shooters know..

after that.. i joined dear for a movie and she helped me wrote my certificate..
though it is just a template.. but well..
its enough for a memory





Han Rong's Birthday party at Pasir Ris Costa Sand Resort was quite fun..
first we went to the Wild Wild Wet.. which was the best i guess..
i conquered my fear of those thrilling rides..
the "U" thing really made me scream until out-of-breath
just imagine..
i started screaming... and when i notice my breath was out.. i still haven reached the ground..
hohohho.. that was damn good a thrill man.. haha
i didnt get to stay over as i would be doing my Basic Theory the next day..
passed it of cos..
returned to set fire for the BBQ at the evening..
BBQ with Jun Liang all the way until we went off together..
got to know a couple of new friends
and glad that Han Rong enjoyed his party.. haha

i was up this morning ... i meant i didnt actually slept..
as i was really energetic..
who knows why? sad..
just cant sleep..
so i decided to go cycling..
from Bedok Reservoir to East Coast..
saw Mr Yang and some SRJCians around there at 5+ am
then to Old Airport Road..
then to Paya Lebar..
and then finally back home..
took 4 whole hours to complete that..
taking into account the reading of maps..
haha.. and taking pics..

i really see the lives of the rich..
the condos... ground level pillars are 3 stories high..
i saw a female at the age of 20+ or 30 at max having her morning coffee at the balcony, reading fashion magazine as the same time facing the sun..
folks are walking around at the park connector spending their time enjoying the river breeze...
suddenly i felt that time slowed down...
oh man.. how i wish i am one of those rich kids...
well well back to reality..
there is both side to a coin...
