Hello, friends! I'm excited to show you my newest layout using the February Color Kitz from Shimmerz Paints. Although this is a Valentine-themed kit, I easily adapted it for a birthday layout.
Hello, friends! I'm excited to show you my newest layout using the February Color Kitz from Shimmerz Paints. Although this is a Valentine-themed kit, I easily adapted it for a birthday layout.
Hi friends! Melissa Minor here on the blog today. I'm creating a Valentine scrapbook layout. The picture I'm scrapbooking is of my daughter Taitym & I. I'm so lucky to be her mom. I'm using the February Color Kitz.
Hi friends! Melissa Minor here on the blog today. I'm sharing a layout I made using the gorgeous January Color Kitz.
I started my layout by cutting 3 strips of patterned paper from the kit. I cut 2 strips 2x10 and 1 strip 3x10. I then drew some pencil lines around the strips so I knew where to place my paint. I pulled 3 matching paint colors. For the red I choose Buddy's Favorite Color-Shimmerz. The center color is a pink called Pink About It-Inklingz. This is a brand new color! It's a really pretty shade of pink. For the green I used The Holly & The Ivy-Inklingz. My white background is a sheet of Mixed Media cardstock cut down to 11x11. I matted that onto the green tree pattern paper from the kit. I think the green really draws your eye to my photos.
Hey all and happy New Year! Today I'm sharing my first layout using the January Color Kitz Bundle! I am documenting my daughter showing off her Christmas pjs. The first thing that I did for this layout was make the background which I did in my unboxing video that you can find here: https://youtu.be/Y4IAyZaXNq4
I added the colors from the kit into sections like little paint swatches on my foundations paper. Next I distressed and layered my picture on the page. I then die cut 5 different colored patterned papers from the shop in heart shapes and added them with some foam to the page.
I then grabbed the dotz, stickers, and die cuts from the kit and added them making sure to match the colors as best as possible. I added some rub-ons from my stash for the title and added some journaling at the top as well. To finish off the layout I added some iridescent sequins from my stash to bring some bling.
Thanks so much for stopping in to read about my page. You can find my process video for this layout here: https://youtu.be/GHYShNxpzlU
Until next time, Nicole
To start this page I used tore some papers to go on my background. I then painted around where my photos would go using the December Color Kitz paints. After that was dry, I put together my background and popped up my photos on some dimensional foam tape.
I started my embellishing of this page with the die cuts from the bundle. I added a cluster to the right of my page, the upper left of my photos, and the lower right of my photos. Once all the die cuts were in place I added silver stars and acetate snowflakes to the page. I finished with some sequins from my stash.
Thanks for popping on to read about my layout. I hope that it gets you in the creative mood! I also have a process video for you to watch here: https://youtu.be/6ouxhqNFU-E
Until next time, Nicole Santos
I started by making my background page. I used a white foundations page then added all the colors from the kitz as brushstrokes down the top part of the page, adding splatters as well. You can watch me make this page here: https://youtu.be/IO0qTzKJLdM
When my page was dry I started to build up the page with paper, ephemera, and little bits from the kit. I started by adding torn strips of the floral pink paper to where the paints are and a small one down at the bottom of the page. I then added my photos to the top part of the page with some dimensional foam tape. I then added the acetate snowflakes up near the photos. I added 3 clusters to my page, one near the top left of the photos, another near the lower right of the photos and the last one down at the bottom near the center of the page.
To finish this page I added my jornaling near the bottom cluster. To add some more black around the page, I doodled some hearts around the clusters and added some dots as well. The last thing that I added were the silver stars from the kit.
I also have a process video that you can watch for this layout as well here: https://youtu.be/H11sZXU-VIA

I distresed my photos and added them to the layout in three areas creating a visual triangle. I then hand drew clouds on the blue and white checked paper, fussy cut them out, and then distressed them as well. I added the clouds and leaves that I painted near the photos. I then came in with some of the die cut pieces to finish off my clusters.
I then added my title using the gold alphas from the kit, making sure to glue each of the letters before putting them down. I added journaling and splatters to finish off my layout.

The first thing that I did was choose this beautiful red and white polka dot paper, it is my favorite out of the kit! I tore it about 3-4 inches from the bottom and marked on a foundations mixed media paper where it would fall with a pencil. I then added the Red-y Or Not Coloringz from the kit to the bottom of the mixed media paper.
I decided to add the little strip of foliage to the top of this layout, where my photo would go. I then embellished using the die cuts and dotz. I finished by splattering with the Punkin Pie Vibez and Teal the End of Time Shimmerz paints.
My page came together pretty easily, especially with all the goodies in the kit! I also have a process video for this layout that you can watch here: https://youtu.be/qVEKHnSq5qQ

Hi crafty friends! Melissa Minor here and I'm super excited to be sharing another layout with you for the Shimmerz Paintz design team. I'm using the October 2024 Color Kitz. I started the layout by painting some of the Dandy Lion-Creameez onto white mixed media cardstock. I then cut that piece down and used as a layering piece behind my photos.
Hey all, Nicole here with my second layout of the month. This time I'm doing fall themed with the October Color Kitz Bundle. I am documenting my gourdgeous daughter.
The first thing I did for this layout was coloring these leaves and foliage from the coloring sheet with the paints that come in the kit. For the leaves I just used all the colors (except purple) and they turned out amazing!
I then did my paper piecing. I picked out some fall themed papers from the kit and arranged them on my page, making sure to distress the edges. I also grabbed some leaves from the die cut pack included with the kit.
I arranged my fall foliage around my pic and a little cluster towards the bottom of the page. I then added my title from my stash. I decided to use the Sunkissed pant from the kit and add some shadowing under my clusters. I then finished by splattering some Goldie Lox Shimmeringz from my stash.
Thanks so much for coming on here to read about my layout. I hope it gets you in a painty mood. I also have a process video that you can watch here: https://youtu.be/3fxQ1zBJhv8

Hey all! Nicole here with another layout using the beautiful August Color Kitz Bundle! Today I'm documenting a turtle that was swimming at the beach we were at in Hawaii.
The first thing that i did for this layout was to make the bright blue background. I used the Love Ocean #9 and sprayed on a Foundations Mixed Media paper. I then took the nozzle and splattered it around everywhere.
I cut out some of the waves from the patterned paper in the kit and also cut my pictures to look like waves. I then distressed them all. I also cut some of the white off of the die cut pieces from the kit as well.
I placed my pictures and little waves on my layout. I then clustered some die cuts around it. I also made a little cluster in the "sky" with the sun and a tag where I added my journaling. I added some little doodles to my waves and in the "ocean" to give some interest and finished my layout with some sequins from my stash.

Hey all, Nicole here with my first project using the Shimmerz August Color Kitz Bundle! It is full of tropical vibes that I actually used for some Vegas pics. I like how they go together to add a neon vibe to the page which Vegas is known for.
The first thing that I did was use the sheet that I made in my unboxing to die all the circles that I used on this layout. Then I did paper piecing with some more mixed media behind where my photos go.
I added the circles to my layout making sure to distress them and then lift the edges to give them some dimension. I then added my title with some alphas from my stash.
Next I added an orange dotz from the kit up by the orange circles and added some ephemera that matched my circles.
Finally I added some little sparkly stuff from my stash and journaled.

Hey all, Nicole here with my first project this month using the July Color Kitz Bundle. I am documenting a picture of my youngest enjoying her birthday mochi.
The first thing I did for this layout was make these super cute flowers. I painted a sheet of foundations paper with all the colors from this months kit. For the pinks and yellows, I cut out 3 different sized circles to make one flower. I folded the edges up and placed a chrome brad in the center of them. Then I cut leaves from the green part of my paper and some white cardstock for the little white flowers.
Before I stuck down all my flowers and leaves to my page I made sure to splatter it with this months colors as well.
I then just glued all my flowers and leaves down with art glitter glue. I started going through the die cuts that came with the kit and added a bunch through out the flowers.
I added a little banner piece to the top that says "Today is all about FUN" for my title and added my journaling to the bottom of the page and that't it!
Thanks so much for stopping by to read about my layout. I hope it gives you some ideas on how to use your Shimmerz products. You can find the Color Kitz Bundle here: https://www.shimmerzpaints.com/collections/shimmerz-paints-color-kitz/products/color-kitz-the-july-2024-complete-bundle-collection

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day! We celebrated last weekend with a Valentine-themed birthday party for my grandaughter's 5th birthday! This was just the sweetest photo of her and her friend, and the February kit complements it perfectly!
