snowy claus & paws

*gasp* Look at what I received from my swap partner, Diana. Snowy snowmen, snowy Claus -- and yes, there are even snowy paws.

These potholders are just soooooo beyond cute! She used Annies Attic Ultimate Book of Potholders.

And also sent this delicious Patons Pure Organic Cotton and a recipe for Christmas Pudding -- yum!

But that's not all! Oh my, she knows me so well -- look at the books she also sent --->Fun to Crochet Gifts & Stocking Feet. I have wanted these in my collection of crochet books!

Such a wonderful swap with such a wonderful crocheter!
.
Thank you, Diana!

receivin' some sewin' love

Nothing is sweeter than love,
nothing stronger,
nothing higher,
nothing wider,
nothing more pleasant,
nothing fuller nor better
in heaven & earth.

When the doorbell rings and the FED*EX truck is in your driveway, your heart skips a little in anticipation of what what he might be bringing..

The doorbell rang at my house recently and -- yes, my heart did do that little 'pitter patter' -- and this is what I got ---> a package from Suzee.

We both participated in the Show Some Sewing Love swap and had to make something that involved hearts. She picked such gorgeous colors and made such a beautiful quilted heart banner. And yum. My kids made a mad dash for the most delicious chocolates that she also included. And a book of hugs. I love that.

Her quilting is divine and so is the package that she sent my way. Thank you, Suzee.

And special, s.p.e.c.i.a.l. thanks to Dandelion Quilts, who choreographed this whole endeavor. She is one of my faves -- I love her -- she is indeed a true blogirl-friend. Make sure you visit her.

show some sewing love pt. 2

(ahem...no peeking, Harley!)

Hearts, cupcakes & puppies. Just the thought of all 3 of them conjures up 'sewing love' in some way or another.
~

This is part 2 of Dandelion Quilt's, Show Some Sewing Love swap.

The flowery, brown fabric looked so delicious -- like chocolate frosting on a cupcake -- that I just had to make a cupcake to go with her tiny heart quilt.

~

The cupcake pattern is from this yummy, yummy book.

Said with a content smile -->'Definitely showing some sewing love.' I'm hoping she can feel that when she receives it.
