Happy Family Layouts - August Sparkle and Shine kit

Good morning!  Laura here!

I am back today to share  a sweet layout I did of an 'ussie' of our youngest and I taken at Canada's Wonderland while we were waiting  for my hubby and oldest son to get off one of those crazy rides....
I created this using the 'Sparkle and Shine' kit

The awesome Prima papers were perfect for layering!!!

I created a cluster with flowers from the main kit and floral add on and a chipboard flourish that I had in my stash!

I used three of Prima tapes to frame the photo!  The tapes are so cool!

I created the title using the stickers!  Perfect title!
Now to share my final layout using the awesome Sparkle and Shine kit!

For this one I used the fabulous 'Beautiful' line from Simple Stories.

I used the flowers from the main kit and the floral add to frame the photo.  I also built a matting for the photo from pieces of the wonderful paper

I used the Simple Stories Beautiful Bits & Pieces diecuts from the main kit to create my title

3 Beautiful layouts - August Sparkle and Shine & July Wayfarer kits

Hi everyone!
I recently received my 'Sparkle and Shine' Scraps Of Darkness kit and I couldn't wait to get creating.
When I saw the Prima Paper Rose Quartz - Stone Quartz the idea for this layout came to me

This awesome photo was taken by my niece last year

To Begin with I fussy cut one of the worlds out of the paper and layered it over the Grateful heart paper and the Rose Dreams paper.
I added Papermania Wild Rose Jumbo Crochet Trim from the elements add on.

I created a cluster using flowers from the main kit and floral add on and these really cool feathers from the elements add on.  I also double matted the photo and used foam dots for dimension

Here is a close up of those really pretty flowers.  I also added some Prima Rose Quartz Puffy Stickers from the main kit - they are really cute!

I finished off with a title using the 'LOVE' from the puffy stickers and some letter stickers from my stash

I am so excited to share this layout.
I normally do not scrapbook in pink - just not my color BUT these gorgeous papers and elements may have changed my mind!

For this layout I used some the awesome Simple Stories Beautiful  paper from the Sparkle and Shine kit.

I started by layering the  fabulous papers and added a border sticker from the main kit then lightly distressed the edges.
I then painted the some chipboard from my stash with Art C Ultra Chalk Paint in Victorian Pink from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit.  I added some Ranger Rose Quartz embossing powder (from a previous kit) and heat set it.  In the color add on is this gorgeous Jacquard Lumiere True Gold Acrylic Paint that I brushed on with my finger to keep with the lightly gold theme.

For the chipboard frame from my stash I embossed it with one of my favorite embossing powders - Stampendous aged black embossing enamel from a previous Scraps Of Darkness kit.

Check out all those stunning flowers from the  main kit and floral add on!

Here is another another layout I created using the Wayfarer kit!
I love creating beach layouts - probably because thats one of my favorite places to be!

When I saw this piece of paper - Pacific Coast - from Blue Fern Studios in the kit - my mouth dropped!  It is gorgeous!  I really wanted to create a layout that did it justice!
I chose an older photo of Cody that matched so beautifully with the elements

I did some mixed media work with s stencil, sand medium and Lindys Stamp Gang mist and Brusho turquoise powder.  I sprayed some cheese cloth with the mists too, added some prills from previous kits and some Prima Art pebbles also from a previous kit and shells from my stash!

The Prima Resin Frame is beautiful!   To add to its beauty I misted it, added the brusho powder color, and prills!  The title piece I found in the Prima Traveler's Journal Ephemera & Stickers from the main kit...I wrinkled it and added some ink and the same brusho color.

Two Beach Layouts - June Seaside Kit

Good morning!
Laura here today to share another layout I created using the Scraps Of Darkness  'Sea Side' kit

For this layout I decided to use the awesome Kaisercraft High Tide Collection from the main kit and also from the Coordinating paper add on.  I love to layer my papers and embellishments and the fabulous Kaisercraft papers were perfect for this.

I cut out one of the card titles which I think reflects our boys. I also fussy cut a couple of images - the ships wheel and anchor to use as accents.  I added a few stickers from the coordinating stickers sheet in the main kit

The blue fern chipboard I inked with
Prima Color Philosophy Summer Vibes Stackable Ink Pad from the color add on then added some blue crushed glitter glass from a previous kit.  You can also see the tiny starfish from the main kit (its so cute) and a few glass gems also from the main kit

Those wonderful flowers are from the floral add on!

Now I am excited to share my final layout using the awesome Seaside Kit from Scraps Of Darkness!

I am so infatuated with the Sand & Sea Collection that was in the Seaside kit!  The papers are stunning and I really adore those 3d embellishments!

This photo is one of my favorites!!!!  I really wanted it to be the focal point of this layout so I designed it so all the elements worked to make the photo the centerpiece.

I started by using a layer of clear gesso on the papers to protect fro the mixed media work.  I then used a Crafters Workshop stencil from my stash with some texture paste.  I added some embossing powder from a previous kit, then misted with various mists from previous kits also.
The Blue Fern chipboard from a previous kit I painted with the Unicorns hair paint from the color add on.

The title is actually the packaging from the 49 & Market 3D embellishment package.  I just cut it out because it matched so well!

I also created a clustering on the top using flowers from this kit, floral add on and previous kits and the 3D embellishments as well as Prima Resin pieces from the elements add on.

I wanted to keep this awesome photo the focal point so I created a cluster of elements that really makes your eye be drawn to the photo...I used lots of flowers from this kit, floral add on and previous kits, the Blue Fern chipboard anchor from the elements add on (that I also painted with the Unicorns Hair paint from the color add on), resin pieces from the elements add on, cheese cloth, and the 49 & Market 3D embellishments!

Two Wonderful Beach layouts - June Seaside Kit

Hi everyone!  Laura here!
We love the beach and I tend to take a lot of photos while we are there!  Which is awesome because this months Scraps Of Darkness kit is PERFECT for all those beach photos!

When I use more than one photo I usually make them smaller than 4x6.  Here I decided to use two 3x4 photos.
I used the awesome  Kaisercraft Hight Tide papers and stickers from the main kit.

I wanted to create some drama on the layout so I used a lot of flowers from the main kit and floral add on.  I then added some butterflies from the elements add on and added a few shells from my stash!

I LOVE the new 3D embellishments from 49 & Market in this months Scraps Of Darkness 'Sea Side' kit.  They are so cool!

The wonderful and graphic 49 & Market Sand & Sea paper made a perfect background for this photo of Ty enjoying sitting in the surf!

With such a fabulous background paper I did not want to do much to the background.  I added some of the awesome 3D embellishments

The chipboard title I had in my stash.  I used the unicorn's hair paint from the color add on to paint the word 'Sand' then added some prills from a previous kit. For the rest of the title I inked it with the Prima Color Philosophy Summer Vibes Stackable Ink Pad
also from the color add on then added the WOW! Whirlpool Embossing Powder from the main kit....it really sparkles.

The Blue Fern chain and anchor is from the elements add on.
I painted it with the unicorn hair paint, then used the Ken Oliver Color Burst Liquid Metals in Platinum from a previous kit. I then finally added some prills!

A masculine and a double page baby layout from Laura

Hi everyone!
Today I am excited to share a layout featuring a photo of our youngest and  the 'Attic Finds' kit from Scraps of Darkness!

This photo is from Ty's grade 8 grad!  He is really such a great kid...always willing to help and is a really loving kid with a kind heart!
For this layout I used the awesome Authentique rugged papers from the main kit and paper add on

I added some metal from previous kits and the title piece is from the paper tab you trim off!  It is perfect for a boy becoming a young man!

The books - appropriate for a grad photo - are textured stickers from 7Gypsies and  are really cool!

Here is my next layout using the Scraps Of Darkness 'Attic Finds' kit!

This wonderful paper does not scream 'baby girl' layout but I could picture it.  I know I don't normally create  two page albums but since this is for my great niece's baby album I thought it would go well!  This little cutie and her daddy are such a sweet pair!

I fussy cut the banner from one of the papers and used it to tie the two pages together. I also cut out one of the doors as an accent on the first page!  The title is also a cut out! I sprayed the doilies with Tim Holtz Tarnished Brass Distress Spray Stain from the color add on.

I used flowers from the main kit, floral add on and previous kits!
