Ahoy, me mateys!

Yo, ho, ho! What a glorious Saturday it looks to be here in NC...sunny but a nice breeze, yeah boy! So, on a personal update. We won our first round in the Playoffs last night. Go figure. I think we were all ready to be done with the season...its cooooold on Friday nights! BUT, nice to know that our Davie boys have really risen above what everyone was expecting this year :)

So, I am in a cleaning mood and realized I still have quite a few cards that have yet to be blogged just hanging out on my mac. Hrm. Today I have for you one of my last ones I made for The Cottage before I left. This is Pirate Tilda.

I remember that I really loved making this card. Used a Tim Holtz edger die, TH Baroque die, and all kinds of other neat stuff from work. The papers are Creative Imaginations and Bo Bunny. Stickers I think were CI also. Ribbon is by Bazzill, and flowers are Prima. Other details escape me, it been a while, sorry!

I made it into a sideways opening match book card. Here's the open view and below is a closeup of precious Tilda.

Anywhoooo, thats about it for the card. I am hiding out for a few minutes at Starbucks while all the kiddos are occupied. Have a great weekend! Only 6 days til Harry Potter!!

Sorry for no posts the last couple of days. Today I am sharing with you a couple of Magnolia cards that I created for Enchanted Cottage. First is Traveler Tilda paired with some My Minds eye papers and Prima flowers.

And this is Sweet Tilda. She was colored to match the papers and felt flowers from Little Yellow Bicycle. I also used the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Nestabilties die and some yummy silk ribbon. No new Magnolias at the Cottage lately but I will try to have a Christmas card class in July during the Stamp & Scrap Art Show in W-S.

Thanks for hopping by! Check in tomorrow for my last InStyle Stamps post for June, then a few days of Patriotic cards with Stampendous! images :)

Spring Magnolia Cards

Good Morning! I have a handful of Tildas to share with you today. Never finished my Stampendous card for the 2nd challenge the other day because, get this...LOST my heat gun! Aaacck!! Turns out my 17 year old borrowed it trying to light a candle. Bwaah! (No, it didn't work, BTW for those other pyros out there) I WILL finish it now that I found it :)

OK, so here is the first. This is one of my favorite new Tildas we got in at Enchanted Cottage. Its Tilda with Umbrella and she matches perfectly with this adorable new paper from Prima! The flowers are also from the same new Prima collection, and I added some Bazzill "In Stitches" to the left edge. The sentiment is from Stampendous! Also got to use the new Labels 11 from Spellbinders for this card :)

Next up is Tilda with Spring Bundle. She is colored to match the cute Basic Grey paper from the Sugar Rush collection. I used my Spellbinders Circle and Blossom Nestabilties and the Eyelet Borderabilties for this one.

Last up is one of the cards I designed for my Easter Magnolia class. I have been trying for weeks to get a good pic of this card, and I finally give up. This is as good as its gonna get! This is Tilda with Eggs in her Apron, on top of the Spring Background. Both were colored with Copic markers to match this gorgeous paper from Memory Box. Close up shot of Tilda is below.

Alrighty then, thanks for popping in today! Remember its Tuesday...LOST is on! Almost over forever, can't believe it. Sigh. Have a great afternoon!

Little Bunny Tilda, hoppin' through the forest... hehe! This is one last leftover Easter card that I never got around to blogging while out of town. It was one for my Magnolia Easter class at Enchanted Cottage.

Isn't she just the cutest little thing?? She is colored to match this beautiful ribbon by May Arts that I was just dying to use The papers are from the 3 Bugs in a Rug "Little Chick" collection. Sorry its hard to see the card, I took the pic at work. Click on the image for a closeup and that will help!

OK, I'm outta here. Back from Florida for 2 days then off to New York! I have to catch up on piles of laundry, DT stuff, bills, groceries, etc. Check back in Saturday for the first Stampendous! sketch challenge!

Now, on to the card!

(OK, I started this post yesterday and have so many little problems with it....sorry!!)
This is "Cozy Tilda" from the So Jolly collection at Magnolia Stamps. Again, its another card I made for work! I used the pink polka dot paper from My Minds Eye, ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Snow Dots folder, then rubbed white Metallic rubons over the raised areas....I love the look!

Tilda is perched on the lovely silk ribbon (from May Arts). The circle behind Tilda is created with my EK Curvy Cutter out of paper from Bo Bunny. The icicle border punch is Martha Stewart as is the Snowflake punch. All supplies including the metallic dew drops can be found at Enchanted Cottage.

Got Snow?

Happy Sunday! I am here this morning with a card that I made for Enchanted Cottage using one of our new Magnolia Stamps... Frosty with Star. For the card I used the sketch challenge from the Just Magnolia blog.

Frosty was colored with fun bright copics to match the "Colorful Christmas" paper by My Minds Eye. I used shamrock green Flower Soft on his mittens and hat border. The snowflakes were airbrushed in the Spellbinders' Create a Flake 1 die.

Well, we only got through the 1st disk of Season 1 of LOST last night. I forgot how much I love that show! My hopes for the day are to stamp a bit more, fold 10+ loads of laundry, get Perry moved back into his dorm room, and watch some more LOST! Hope you have a great Sunday :)

Take Joy in the Little Things

Greetings to all my cyber friends! I hope everyone has been enjoying having a few days off, a few days with the kids out of school, or even just a few days away from shopping :) I have still been under the weather. I did read a few great books this weekend, since all I seemed to be able to do was lie in the bed.

So, today I rearranged quite a bit and tidied up my stamping space so I can get back on track! I do have a card to share that I created a couple of weeks back. I used one of the Tilda's from the "A Little Yummy For your Tummy" collection from Magnolia.

This is "Kitchen Tilda". (I think this card may be one of the ones for my January Magnolia Card Class at Enchanted Cottage. Since we don't have new Valentines or Spring stamps I may do all cooking themed! The class is scheduled for Jan 16th for those close to NC...cards will be determined this week!)

Tilda was stamped, colored with Copic markers, then cut out and popped up on a panel die cut with a Spellbinders Labels 4 die. The die was cut, then while still in the die I embossed it with the die AND the Flourish Impressabilities at the same time, leaving a debossed border around the embossed center. Then I ran a Versacolor cube lightly over the embossed part to make it stand out a bit more.
The flowers were cut with the Spellbinders Flower Creations die and airbrushed while still in the die with Copic markers and my ABS1. The sentiment was cut with Ribbon Tag Trio (also by Spellbinders) then trimmed at the ends.
A full list of supplies is listed below, including the copics I used. I still have a few things to show you all and hope to find stamping time tomorrow on my day off! Have a great night and thanks for visiting! Make my day and say hello :)

Holiday Magnolias

Happy Monday! I have 2 Magnolia cards for you today. First up is a bright little number using "Alf with Bell". He is colored with copics to match the bright paper from My Minds Eye.

The sentiment is by A Muse. Alf is framed with Spellbinders' Polka dot Framabilities, airbrushed with copic YG23. I finished the card off with a bit of May Arts ribbon, some buttons, and glitter. I glittered the swirls in the background paper as well as Alf's hat with loose glitter from Stampendous.

Here is "Wrapped Tilda" sitting on a pile of presents. I love the way she turned out colored! She's done to match papers by Bo Bunny. (Buttons and ribbon are also from Bo Bunny) The sentiment is by Northwoods. Circles were cut with my large and small classic Circles Nestabilities from Spellbinders.

Well, tomorrow is my last day off with no kids to finish my shopping so wish me luck! Have a great night, thanks for hanging out with me tonight! -Cyndi

Tilda Under Mistletoe

I am stuck at home today with a sick little one. He came back from school not 2 hours after having left. Urgh. Not only am I not at work today, but I have to sneak off to do anything at home too. After watching Nickelodeon all morning he wants me to watch him play Xbox now. So much for productivity.

But I do have a card for you...More Tilda today! I got the privilege of coloring tons of new Magnolia images for Enchanted Cottage and making them into samples...so you will see a lot of Tilda! This is Tilda under Mistletoe. She is colored with copic markers and then I went back over the reds and her golden hair with Metallic rubons from Craf-T Products. They are meant to be rubbed-on but I colored with them using a blending stump. It ends up looking a lot like Twinkling H2Os without curling up the paper!

The background paper is also by Magnolia. This paper is simply gorgeous...really heavy-weight and textured. The sentiment is from a set called Merry Messages by Stampendous...I adore this font!! Ok, so thats about it. Have a great day and thanks for visiting! -Cyndi

  • Supplies:
  • Stamps: Tilda Under Mistletoe (Magnolia); Merry Messages (Stampendous)
  • Paper: gingham (Magnolia); white cs (Neenah); Kraft (Bazzill)
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo black (Tsukineko)
  • Accessories: Metallic Rubons kit 1& 2 (Craf-t products); ribbon & buttons (Bo Bunny); Copic markers; journaling marker (SU!)
