Christmas Re-Cap

Yes, I realize Christmas has come and gone, but things have been very busy around here.  If you don't want to read about Christmas, you can wait for my next update- whenever that may be!  December is always a busy month for Scott with double the work responsibilities.  This year December was also extremely busy for me.  In fact, we didn't even get our Christmas cards out until the week of Christmas.

I do love decorating for Christmas though.  It's probably my most favorite season, and this year was extra delightful with our little one on the way.  Here's our tree on Christmas Day with all of our gifts under it.  I love our tree because of all the ornaments on it that we've collected over our married years.  Whenever we travel or have some special event, we add another ornament (or two or three) to our collection.  This is in addition to the regular yearly giving of ornaments that Scott and I get for each other.

his year we also had the addition of a 2nd Christmas tree.  This was a small one Scott picked out on clearance last year.  It's a small black tree that we put in the corner, and it's just for him and his penguin ornaments.

This year also marked the completion of my nativity that he has been giving me for Christmas.  It started 7 Christmases ago when we were first married and has continued each year since with the addition of another piece or set.  It's finally complete this year, and I love it!

This year one of my online buddies sent us a special ornament for our tree.  She didn't know Scott loves penguin ornaments, so it was extra special that she sent us this one:

And her special inscription on the back is a great reminder of this precious gift of life we are anxiously awaiting to meet!

After church on Christmas Day, we wanted to get a family picture of the 3 of us, so we played around with my camera timer.  We actually managed to get quite a few pictures.  Here are some of the fun ones....same pose, different bellies.

Surprise!  I didn't know what he was going to do with this picture.  He said he had an idea.  What a goofball.
