Sufjan

Sufjan Stevens at the Sydney Opera House
Sufjan Stevens at the Sydney Opera House

Oh Sufjan.
I am so glad I got my hands on tickets for the Sufjan Stevens show at the Sydney Opera House last Friday. It was mind-blowing. Amazing. I really loved every second of it. Not just that the wonderful Owen Pallett played as suport-act, but the whole atmosphere in the opera house was just full of excitement and it was so great to hear his new songs live, especially Impossible Soul, I was blown away...The funny thing was that Will also got his hands on tickets (we both wanted to surprise each other) and so we saw him on Thursday and Friday. Well, if you have the chance to see him, please go, it is so worth it. so worth it. I felt like a little kid when the last song he played was Chicago and when the first seconds of the song started and suddenly all the ballons came down from the ceiling, it was magic.

Thank you so much for all wonderful comments on my last post

A letter...

The first of September. A new month.
You can feel that the season is changing and that Spring is coming along here that time is going by...

A new month also means to me that I am allowed to fill up again my personal calendar.
Before I left Hamburg I got a box from my friends with twelve envelopes, each filled with pictures. On the first day of a new month I can open one of these envelopes and find an image for every week of this month. I love this calendar and I unpacked already a few images which I totally forgot about. They make me smile so much and miss my friends ....

Today was also the first day I used my new/old sewing machine for the first time.
It is a second-hand one in such great condition and I am so happy about it as I couldn't bring mine with me. I was already fabric shopping and got some nice leftovers of which I am planning to sew a few nice things which I have in my head since a while : )
Today I sort of made friends with the sewing machine, read the manual and got used to the new handling. It has so many great programs, I can't wait to use it properly..I sewed this little envelopes for my grandparents which I will bring on its big journey tomorrow.

Here is a nice song liiiiiisten (Villagers - Becoming A Jackal)

Somewhere

There was sun and snow yesterday. A good combination.
I catched up with friends for coffee and also with the local photobooth for a bunch of pictures. I loved the colour of the sky when I walked home and wished at the same time to be far away..

I got this new Broken Social Scene song World Sick the other day. It is so good and you should listen to it...maybe a bit louder than usual.

It took them five long years to produce a new album and I can't wait to listen to it.
Five years!
Thinking back it is crazy to realize how many things have happened every since: places I have visited, people I haven't known back than and are now big parts of my life, I finished my study and started a job which seemed so far away back than..and this space I am writing on right now was not even an idea five years ago...
...It makes me so curious about the future...
