Swirls at Totally Gorjuss

At Totally Gorjuss this week we want to see swirls.  They can be stamps, die cuts, orembossing.  On my card i have swirls made by the gem embellishments. The sponsor is J & C Creations.

I used a mixture of stamps to create this card. I coloured the leaves and flower with Distress Inks. I used a couple of masks for the numbers and patterning and finally added Liquid Pearls to the flower.

Thank you for visiting.

Far away in the sunshine.......

Here is a card I made with my ladies a few weeks ago. We used Distress inks, embossing powders, stamps, 1 die, Stickles and Liquid Pearls.
I think this card has quite a subtle effect to it.

Have a good day. Going out for lunch now with a friend! She makes the most gorgeous floral arrangements. Will pop a link to her soon.

Distressed in red!

Good afternoon to all
Here is another Distress Ink card I made. I chose a bold red colour scheme this time. I tried to be a bit artistic with my photo!!!! A strategically placed plant next to it! Perhaps I should just stick to straight forward cardmaking..............

 Good morning
This is a very quick post as I am knee deep in sorting out out my excess kitchen items! I will be loading up the car and paying a visit to my local charity shop. I am, somehow, sorting through more craft items. Getting ready for another craftroom clearout candy

I have found so many stamps, punches etc that I don't use. Would any of you be interested in them if I put them up for sale here? They will be very cheap!

This card I made using my favourite Distress Inks and a bit of masking

I hope you like it.

Back to the kitchen!¬!¬!!

    What did I use?

Here is another sample I made for the NEC
    • I embossed and distressed inked a piece of card stock.
    • Die cut, distress inked and stamped the music score ( from Papermania Urban Stamps) on the leaves.
    • Die cut and distress inked the flower with X Cut dies
Any ideas what I cut the flower from?

I will showcase here the blog of whoever guesses correctly

    Hugs Sarah

P.S. I am having a craft clearout so will be putting up quite a bit of candy  when I get to 300 followers

    " I remember"....Totally Gorjuss DT card

    Hi everyone
I do hope you are all well. As it is Saturday it means we have a new challenge  for you at Totally Gorjuss

    The theme is

    "I remember"
    The sponsor is Fantastic Ribbons
So we want to see a card or project that brings back some memory to you. I have read my fellow DT's memorys and they are lovely.

For my card, this is my special memory

"I can remember when I was a little girl that my Dad used to play the guitar. He was very musical as he played Saxophone and violin too. But it was the guitar I really liked. I would always ask him to teach me too. He  just never had the time to do it.
He was also very artistic. He did a lot of oil paintings when I was a child and I remember the smell of those paints and oils. Maybe that's where I got my flair for Card making from?!!!!!!!"

And here is a picture of my lovely Dad at Emma's  ( his eldest grandchild) wedding this July. Can you believe he will be 87 in April?!!!!!!

Just for you................., Spellbinders and Sizzix

Here is a card I made recently using a mix of Spellbinders and Sizzix Dies
The flower was made with Spellbinders Sunflower die. I used white card stock and coloured it with Distress Inks. I added  some of my jewellery beads to the centre ( to look like seeds). It is placed on card stock that I cut using the Sizzix Top Note die ( Stampin up) then I embossed it and coloured it with Distress inks. The "just for you" sentiment was computer generated and cut and coloured as the rest of the card. I think it has quite an autumn feel to it.

    Thank you for looking

    A striking Wedding Card!

My SIL recently asked me to make a wedding card. She had seen a card I made (which I will post tomorrow) with these 2 striking colours and said they were the colours of the bridesmaid dresses.

So out come some Spellbinders and Distress inks and a card was born. Not your traditional wedding card but she liked it
    I hope you do too

    Sending you lots of love

    Good afternoon
Here is a card I made a while back. I don't think I have shown it before. I have used Distress Inks ( which I love). The base "stopper" was cut out from a Sizzix die . I have decoupaged the butterfly and Stickled it. I have also put some Stickles on some of the ferns

I really enjoy using Distress Inks. If you haven't tried them yet, give them a go. They are on offer here

    Enjoy your afternoon
    hugs Sarah x
