I was watching Create and Craft this morning (Shock, Horror) and they had Polka Doodles on. Now I don't know the ladies name but she showed a handbag made out of a template on her CD. It was lovely. Then it made me think, I have a Sizzix DL die of a layered banner. This looked the same shape as the panels in her bag. The largest part of the die looked the same shape as the panels in her bag. So I got out my die and cut out some of the shapes with some Basic Grey papers I had. I creased the outer edge of the two long sides and folded the scored bits outwards. Then I stuck them together. My tape didn't hold too well so I ended up stapling it in some parts( Don't look too closely)
For the handle I cut 4 hinges from my Tm Holtz Hardware Findings die. I glued to together and then a brad to attach it to the bag itself. The Banner die automatically cut some holes in the banner shapes so I threaded some thin ribbon through it. I would have used brown ribbon but unfortunately I tidied up. Fatal! It always means I lose things for months!!!
Any way here is the end result.
Please remember it is only a quick make so please don't be too critical. It took me about half an hour to make.
This bag could be made for real if you used material as the die will cut through material too.
Have a good evening

Shabby Chic flowers
Hi everyone
well It's half way through half term and I have had a great time just crafting!!!!. I did do a bit of housework though.
Here is a card I made with my Saturday and Tuesday classes. These flowers are so easy to make and use up all those scraps of papers we crafters can't bear to throw away.
On Saturday I had 5 in class and every card was different.
How to make these flowers
Hope you have a go making these and post them on your blog so that we can all see your creations

How to make these flowers
- I cut various size circles with my Nesties and Sizzix die.
- I used my paper edge distress to roughen up the edges of the circles.
- At this stage you could use distress inks on the edges of the circles.
- We did some Faux stitching around the edge of each circle then scrunched up all the circles in the palm of our hands.
- Then we flattened them out and layeerd them on top of each other
- We put a brad in the centre to hold the circles together and then stuck them to the front of our card.
- Finally we cut a thin strip of cardstock to use as a stem
Hope you have a go making these and post them on your blog so that we can all see your creations

Whiff of Joy GDT call
There is a great sketch at Katharina's blog, and with it is the possibility of being a Guest Designer for 2 months!!!. What a fab chance is that. So I thought I would give it a go. I have entered load of challenges and never won one. So lets see how I do with this one. Actually I love making cards anyway for no particular reason. It stops me causing trouble somewhere else. Oh and from doing the ironing, cooking, cleaning, gardening........................................... You know what I mean.
Anyway here is the sketch and I have used the Whiff of Joy winter love two birds stamp.
I have coloured it with Promarkers and the papers are Brenda Pinnick. I have also used distress inks around the edge of the card and my paper edge distresser on the papers too.
Thanks for all the comments that i have received. I love reading them

Mojo Monday 115
Yipeeeee!!!!! Donny won Dancing with the stars!!!!. I know he wasn't the best dancer, Miya was, but he was still good and at nearly 52 he was the oldest to win the competition. I knew he could do it. I'm sure it helped him knowing I was watching!!!!!!!
Anyway hope you all had a good weekend. Not too much wind or rain. Wasn't little Joe excellent in X Factor. I want him to win.
Well down to cards. Here's my effort for Mojo Monday. Hope I'm not too late to submit. The sketch was lovely to follow. I have put one of the flowers I made following Michele's tutorial. Told you you would see a lot of them. They are so addictive to make. For once I have made a card without Promarkers!!!!!
Will try to do a few more cards for challenges so may put on a few more posts
Don't forget to check out the Totally Gorjuss blog where we have a great challenge for you this week and the sponsor is The Hobby house.
Love to read your comments so please leave some for me

Totally Gorjuss - challenge7 - not a card
Happy Friday everyone
I'll be glued to the TV tonight as Donny is in the final in Dancing with the Stars, America's Strictly. He's not the best dancer Miya is but i'm sure his fans will vote, vote, vote. Mind you Kelly Osbourne has really blossomed and become a good dancer and quite a lady too. Perhaps I should join. Could work wonders for me too!!!! Not sure they make the dresses big enough though!!
Anyway, as it's Friday there is a new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss. It is anything but a card, so let your creative juices flow, bags, boxes, card holders, trinket boxes etc. so long as you have a Gorjuss Girl on it. I can't remember who is sponsoring us this week but as soon as I find out I will amend this post to let you know. The numbers entering have started to increase so thank you everyone who has joined in and to those who submit every week. Please spread the word about the challenge on your blog and feel free to display the TG challenge logo
Well I have to go now and get ready for Donny. He expects me to be watching!!!!!

Just Magnolia week 31 - sketch from Mina
My second post of the day.
I had a lovely card group this afternoon - Stamping and Promarkers and a bit of scrapbooking too. And Hobbycraft rang me up and offered me their new magazine, one free for each member of my card lessons. So that was nice as it has £35 worth of vouchers in it
Well here is my entry for Just Magnolia. It's been ages since I've entered their challenge. The sketch was nice to follow. I made Circle flowers with a sizzix die, a Magnolia stamp ( of course Sarah...you are entering the Just Magnolia Challenge duh !!!), Promarkers, brads and Brenda Pinnock papers.
Please ;eave a comment whether it's about this card or anything else. have a good evening

The first card though is for the Sugar Bowl challenge week 23. There is a sketch to follow and I have used one of the Gorjuss Girl stamps.
The second pic was for The Promarker challenge.
