Handmade warm scarf

Well I thought we were all on the mend in this household. I had the dreaded virus. then Mike had it. Last Night we were up at 2.30 with Emma. She was shivering but had a high temp at the same time. It took me back to when she was a toddler and she is 23 now!!!!!
We did a bit of shopping in Sainsbury's. Big mistake. It was manic!!!!!! Are the shops closed for a month????!!!!! You would think so. Anyway we got what we needed, we have friends over for tea tonight.
Here is something else I made. A warm, fluffy scarf. Actually it took me months to make as I was knitting it at night. I usually make cards or some other project during the evening and was very reluctant to give up card making time for knitting time!
Anyway I am glad I have made it as it is so warm.
Have any of you knittred anything recently? I would love to see what you have made
Speak to you next year!

My hand made soaps

A mixture of Lavender and Coconut soaps

All wrapped up
My goodness I seem to have had a creative streak these past few weeks. I have several projects to show over the next week or so. Today I am showing you the hand made soaps I made. The people I gave them too loved them.
They are so easy to make. I have bought some more ingredients!

Large match box gift boxes

Thought I would show you some gift boxes I made. I used my Big Shot Pro Match box die. This is a great die. I covered the matchbox  in papers and added some embellishments. I put a miniature bottle of Brandy in each box. Of course you could put anything inside.
I have entered this into Samantha's blog candy
What do you think?

Edible teddy bear gifts

Here are some little edible teddy bear gifts I made. The bears are made from fondant icing and coloured with edible powder.
I cut out the toppers with Sizzix dies including the" Enjoy" word. The recipients ( posh word!!!!) really loved them.
What do you think?
And here is my son, home for the holidays, feeding the birds. He has been feeding me every day too. He has made me lovely bacon and Brie sandwiches every lunchtime! What a good boy.

Aquamarkers video tutorial

Well I think Sarah at Hotshotcrafts liked the first video tutorial I did for her using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. You can see it here
She asked me to do another one, this time showing how to use Aquamarkers by Letraset. They are available at £8.50 for a box of 5 or £15.99 for a box of 12. She also has the Bockingford watercolour paper, ink pads and Kanban stamps too
Here is the video. I hope you like it. Again any feedback positive or negative would really be appreciated

Totally Gorjuss DT card #61 - someone special

Good morning
wasn't sure if I would make this one as I have been so unwell all week. It started last weekend with the dreaded virus that has run rampant through our school. In the 12 years  have been there we have never had anything like this. Although I went back to school myself I have felt rotten and today I feel worse than I did at the start!
I had to put on the school staff buffet yesterday as well. I managed it but only ate some bread.
At Totally Gorjuss this week we want a card for someone special
The card I have made this week is for  the mum of one of our teachers who made cakes and Brandy mince pies for me for the buffet. She wouldn't accept the money for the ingredients so I have made her this card ( someone special) as a Thank you.
I have used Basic Grey papers which were my Blog Candy win from the ever so talented Maddy. Thank you Maddy, these papers are LUSH!!!!!
Hope you are all keeping well ( i didn't breath over the computer so you shouldn't catch anything!)

Help with Magnolia minis - please

Can any one help me? I would like to get some of the Magnolia mini stamps and although I have spent ages doing a search through Google I can't find anyone in England that sell them.

Can any of you lovely bloggers point me in the right direction please?

Feeling under the weather/ I won some blog candy

Hi everyone
I had a rough weekend with this virus that going around. I never ate anything yesterday. A first for me!
The kids at school on Friday were dropping like flies , as were the teachers, so I am not surprised I was ill too. My head is still pounding and I have such bad backache and I can't get warm.
Anyway enough of the depressing stuff.

Saturday afternoon's lesson we made these calender cards. They are so quick and easy to make and the calenders themselves are very cheap to buy.( i didn't start to feel ill until the end of X Factor. Were you happy with the results? I didn't mind which of the 3 won. Although I did have a leaning towards One Direction. A young girl who used to come to cards lessons was in the same class as Liam!)

Also some good news, for me anyway,. I won Maddy's blog candy. Now that certainly made me feel better. Maddy is a super crafter. Her projects are all amazing. Thank you Maddy.
Keep away from all those germs!!!!

Totally Gorjuss DT card #60

Another week has gone by and it is time for another Totally Gorjuss challenge. We want to see snowy cards and projects. The sponsor this week is Meyer Imports
Here is my card for this week.
I have embossed a Tim Holtz emboss folder with Stickles added,(that is supposed to be the snow!)
There is also "snow" on the sign post behind Tilda. Someone should have told her to put a coat on in this cold weather!
We have had some amazing entries to our challenges so a big THANK YOU to all of you who have joined in with us.
So who do you think will win Strictly and X Factor? With both shows  there is no clear winner. My big question though is this....What are we going to do with our evenings when these shows finish!!!!
Keep warm

Cards for a football team

A little friend of mine is a player in a local Football team. He asked me if i could make a card for each member of the team using the team colours and logo.
The team is Perton Pumas and if you clink on the link you can see whether my card resembles their logo or not.
I just hope he likes them!
I used my trusty Sizzix dies.

Talking of Sizzix dies I have many listed that are ending today. Hop over and have a look. If you buy any email me and I will send a little extra gift too! Click here to see my Ebay items
