rainy day wishes

hello and happy monday!
it's the first day of Spring Break for my (not-so) littles so we're all taking it easy while we rejoice in the long break from Biology! lol!! what a hard class!! lol!

and even better - I have this card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog today!

I just looooove these sweet images from the Newton's Rainy Day and Newton's Rain Boots stamps sets! I stamped and colored the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out MOST of the images! one of the extra little ducklings I added from the Newton's Rain Boots set needed to be fussy cut. I also added some details with a white gel pen

I used Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina on white cardstock. then I used the NEW Frames & Tags Die Set to die cut it out! I added a strip of foam tape to the borders. and the inside panels were inlaid! love the dimension.

in the background, I added some subtle tone-on-tone texture with white embossing paste and the Raindrops stencil. and then I heat embossed the sentiment in white!

love how sweet and adorable this card is with the bright, happy umbrella!

Newton's Nook Designs Back to Basics - Frames and Tags Die Set

and sooooo versatile!

my card uses some old and new products together!

 

I colored the images from the Tulips and Garden Mice stamp sets with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I love the soft, warm pinks with the crisp, cool greens and yellows! I also splattered some white acrylic ink on top of the flower images.

I die cut out the frame with the new Pastel Basics paper pad. and that green is soooo pretty! I ink blended inside the windows of the frame with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade.

 

I used the same colors of Distress Inks to add color to the little tag that was die cut from white cardstock, and then finished the card off with some natural twine!

oh happy spring day!

hello!
and happy Wednesday! today I have a card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!
the current challenge is all things spring, so I made a card featuring a spring shower!

so sweet!
and of course, I couldn't resist throwing a rainbow or two on the card!
I stamped and colored the images from All the Clouds and Beary Rainy Day with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I added some details with a white gel pen, and cut them out with the coordinating dies!

for the backhground, I ink blended with Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina. my favorite clear sky combo!
then I sprinkled the cloud images around and glued them directly to the card front.
I popped up the bear images with foam tape.

the sentiment from Beary Rainy Day was heat embossed in white onto Black Licorice cardstock, and then cut into a strip. I also used foam tape to pop it up!

today I'm so excited to be sharing my card that's up on the Lawn Fawn blog!
and BONUS! I made a video to go with it!

All images from Hey There, Hayrides! Bunny Add-On, Carrot ‘bout You and Easter Party were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out! I also added some details to each image with a white gel pen.
I combined the new images with an older set because I love how easy it is to mix and match Lawn Fawn images! 

Also, let’s be honest, that bunny is too cute! 


I used the Reveal Wheel and Reveal Wheel Square Add-On dies to create a fun interactive element to my card! But instead of using the reveal wheel to reveal sentiments, I made it as part of a larger mechanism to move the bunny like he was riding along! 
I used the new papers from the Rainbow Ever After paper pad (my new favorite paper pad, for sure!). 

I love how the pastel colors compliment the sprint/easter feel of the card!
I also added some vellum grass at the base of the card to add a little more subtle texture to the scene!

I also added some vellum grass with the Grassy Borders Die Set. the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto Guava cardstock and then die cut with the Fancy Wavy Banners dies.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #167 - Spring Fling

happy Monday!
let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!    

yay - it's spring time!
what better way to celebrate than by starting to create some Spring-themed Lawn Fawn cards!

I used images from both Easter Party, Happy Easter and All the Clouds and stamped them. I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once they were dry, I added some accents with a white gel pen and then fussy cut them out!

 

 

I used the Grassy Borders and Stitched Hillside Borders to die cut from white cardstock. then I used Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles to ink blend the grass and hills!

 

I used Distress Oxide Inks in Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Milled Lavendar to ink blend the sky. then I splattered a small amount of water on top. 

the sentiment was heat embossed in white black licorice cardstock and then popped up with foam tape.

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Spring Haul + coordinating Dies, Spring Garden Line Stencil, Quatrefoil Stencil, Spring Blooms Paper Pad

all of these new products are so fun!

my first card uses the sweet, and very Spring themed, Spring Haul stamps and dies!

I love this cute little cute truck with the fresh flowers! it makes me think that it's on the way to a farmers market!
I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut it out!

I used a circle from the Circle Frames Die set and die cut out some vellum to go behind the image. and for the background, I used the flower images from Tulips, Daffodils and Dainty Daisies - the beautiful larger images of the flowers in the bed of the truck!

 

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto some black cardstock, and then fie cut it out with the banner from the Frames & Flags Die set! the entire background of the card was also die cut with the large scalloped image from the same die set!

 

my second project of the day is a scrapbook layout featuring the new Quatrefoil Stencil and Spring Blooms paper pad!

I used the new stencil and some white embossing paste on the background of the white cardstock. once it was dry, I used lots of watercolors in rainbow on top! love how it makes the texture shine!

then I set it aside to dry, too. I used the Essential Alphabet Die Set to create most of the title on the layout, too! LOVE that cut out look! so fun, and different! especially with the bright watercolors in the background!

I used the Sky Scene Builder Die Set and die cut out some cloudy paper from the new paper pad. I popped up the clouds around the layout. and some of the paper was also used around the cut outs on the side of the layout!

Newton's Nook Designs March Release - Tulips & Newton’s Blooms + coordinating dies

my first card uses the super sweet Newton's Blooms stamp set and dies!

all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out! I just love how springy and fresh these colors are!

I used the new Oval Frames dies to die cut out an oval from white cardstock. then I used Distress inks in Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. then I used the Sunscape Stencil and some glittery paste to add some extra pizzazz!

the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto a warm pink banner that was die cut with the Frames & Flags die set!

my second project today, has the beautiful Tulips!

I stamped the image twice, and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. then I used the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

 

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon. I **almost** (SOOOO close!) splattered water and white acrylic ink all over everything - because that's so me! lol! but I refrained! lol!

finally, the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black carstock that was die cut out with the new Oval Frames die set!
