lloveable llamas!

hello!
today I'm super happy to share the card I have up on the Newotn's Nook blog today! it's a birthday card with the sweetest llama images you ever saw!

see?
no lies!
I stamped the images from Loveable Llamas, Newton's Cupcake (the party hat) and Cycling Friends (the bunch of balloons) in black and then used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor them in! so many bright and happy colors - I also added some details with a white gel pen to each image once I was done.
all of the images were die cut with the coordinating dies, too.

I used the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to die cut out the slimline base of the card. then I used the Hills & Grass Stencil with Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. I then used the Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch and Mermaid Lagoon for the sky.

I die cut out the 'llama' word with the Essential Alphabet die set in black to help make the sentiment pop!! then I simply stamped the rest of the sentiment around the big word!

I love how this card came out!

this November release is allllll about those coffee loving vibes!
my card uses the super sweet sentiment: A Hug in a Mug!

I stamped the images and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once it was all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. LOVE how bright, happy and FUN those lined up cups are! that's certain to brighten up anyone's day!

 

I used the Basketweave Stencil on some cream colored cardstock with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen Distress Oxide Inks. then I splattered it around with some white acrylic ink! I wanted to give it a feel of a sweater and make it all warm and cozy!

 

the sentiment was die cut out in black and then layered on top of some vellum! I finished the card by adding some strips of black and white cardstock from the Black & White Basics paper pad!

this November release is allllll about those coffee loving vibes!

 

this is such a fun frame, with so many options! I used the new Coffee Shop Paper Pad for the card and I loooooove the colors!!!

I also used some navy paper for the frame and the sentiment! I love the BOLD of the navy against the cool aqua!

I also used some scraps of paper I had already alcohol inked for the stripes on the coffee cups! such a pretty color to match the patterned paper!
I used white cardstock that inked up with Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks for the 'coffee' inside the cups.

 

then the entire frame and the cups were popped up with foam tape.

I used the new Coffee Delights Stamp Set for my card!

I stamped the images and then colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. once it was all dry, I added some details with a white gel pen and then used the coordinating dies to die cut them out. LOVE how bright, happy and FUN those stacked cups are!

 

I used the Mugs Stencil and some Lost Shadow Distress Oxide Inks to create a subtle coffee related background. once that was done, I used the Basic Frames dies to die cut out the panel!

 

I also heat embossed the sentiment onto some black cardstock and then die cut it out with the Speech Bubbles die set. I popped up the sentiment and the cups with foam tape for some dimension. then I finished off the card with a sprinkling of sequins!

orchids!

hello!
today I have a card up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!
and I'm using my favorite flower - orchids!

I love orchids because there are literally any color combination you would want to use to color them!
I stamped the images from Orchids three times and then die cut them out. I used pinks and beiges to color these images in.

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Pine Needles, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron to ink blend most of the background. then I used the same colors but on top of the Quatrefoil Stencil with more pressure to add the tone-on-tone look!
once it was done, I splattered white acrylic ink on top of all of the images and the background.

I finished the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut around it.
the sentiment and all of the flowers were popped up with foam tape.

I am in love with this sweet, and slightly silly scene!

I stamped the image and then colored it in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. I also added some details with a white gel pen. then I die cut out the images with the coordinating dies.

I used the Basic Frames Die Set for the background, and used the Sunscape Stencil with Yellow Distress Inks (Fossilized Amber, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade) to emphasize the glow of the tree! then I splattered some white acrylic ink in top!
the entire scene was then placed onto some cardstock from the Love & Meows paper pad!

 

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto white cardstock, and then die cut it out with the Speech Bubbles Die Set. I used Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Dried Marigold) to add some color to mimic the red baubles on, and around, the tree!

we're moving right along and here we are at day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs October release!

I am totally in love with these yummy coffee images!! (even though I don't drink coffee!!! ha! all my loved ones do, and I just images they're hot cocoa!)

looooove it!
I used the Frames & Tags die set, and die cut it out with some forest green cardstock.

I used a nice neutral, soft beige for the background. then I used the Music Stencil and some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to add a subtle tone-on-tone look! I also used the Petite Snow Stencil and some white embossing paste along the corners and edges!

 

all of the images were stamped and then colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut out with the coordinating dies. I also added some details with a white gel pen. 

 

 

I stamped the sentiment in an ombre of greens to tie in the frame, and it was complete!
