Get Cracking on Christmas: Happy Christmas!
**this is my 2nd post of the day! to see Day 4 of Newton's Nook Designs May Release, scroll down or click here!**
hello!!!
today I'm joining Jenn Shurkus as she continues to Get Cracking on those Christmas cards!! I'm sooooooooo excited to be joining her since I'm still in the Christmas card-making mode! ha!!
be sure to join in the Christmas fun!!
if you create a project, share it on social media with the tag: #getcrackingonchristmas and comment on Jenn's blog for a chance to win!
this time, I used a bunch of some Paper Smooches stamps on my card!
so cute!
I used the Enchanted Elves stamp set for the images! then I colored in the images with Zig Clean Clear Real Brush Markers! once it was all dry, I fussy cut it out!
I love them!! they're sooo cute and whimsical!
I decided to create a snowy mountain scene! so I used the Mountains stencil from Newton's Nook! Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks made the bottom of the mountains, and then I used some white sparkly embossing paste for the snowy caps!
I used Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers for the sky! I splattered some white acrylic paint and water for the background and then used the same sparkly paste and a star stencil!
the sentiment from Joyful Greetings was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut out!
don't forget to comment on Jenn's blog post and play along, too, for a chance to win a prize!
enjoy!

Yay!!
I'm SOOOOO excited to be part of the new Paper Smooches release! This release has the cutest images and most unique dies!! I love them all!
my first card was inspired by Finding Nemo! (maybe you've heard of the movie?! lol!)
eeeeep, so fun, right?
I used alcohol inks to create the water background, which I looooove! then I used the new Water Dies to add the wave elements! which is sooooo fun!
the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies and popped up on foam tape!
my second card uses that cuuuuuuuuutue beaver image!
oh, I just love him so much!
I used Distress Inks to create the lake background! so fun! I used Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers for the water, and Twisted Citron for the grassy shore!
I looooove the Stitched Thanks die, too! I chose to not stitch this time, and let some yellow shine through, in place of a sun! I really like that little pop of color! :)

Ok, so today I have 2 cards and 1 planner spread to share with you! Let's get to it! :)
My first card uses Dinky Doodles 1 and Daily Diary stamp sets!
LOVE it!!!
So adorable right?! I turned that little monster into a crab, and then created a tiny beach scene with Distress Oxide Inks, within the AWESOME new Postage Stamp Dies!!!
I die cut out the largest size frame 4 times and adhered them together! LOVE the stacked height!
I die cut out the largest size frame 4 times and adhered them together! LOVE the stacked height!
I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strip of black cardstock! And I finished off the card with some gold thread around the frame, and some gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine splatters!
My 2nd card uses the BEYOND ADORABLE Monster Dies!!!! I die cut out the outline of the monster (and his arm!) 4 times and stacked it all together!
Then added color by blending some Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio!
I added some glossy accents to the eyes (they look like googly eyes now!! ha!) and added some glitter to his horns!! LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY!
The watercolor background was created with Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade!

Then I added the sentiment from Halloween Sampler onto a banner of black cardstock!! So cute, right?! Those little white gel pen details I added with to the monster make me giggle, too!
My last project is a planner spread!
If you aren't aware (I mostly post my planner spread on my Instagram only), I use a planner EVERY DAY. But I don't decorate the weekly pages. I need those to be function only! LOL! But I go crazy with the monthly spreads! I call it "art planning" a mix of art journaling, and using a planner!!
So here's my spread before the pen!
So here's my spread before the pen!
What do you think?!
I started by using some white gesso on my pages, then added the watercolor rainbow look with Distress Paints! August is a busy month with both of my boys' celebrating birthdays and back to school! And this year, we even got to see the Solar Eclipse in 100% totality!! Pretty cool!
I hope you're inspired and love what you see!
Don't forget to enter for your chance(s!!) to win!!
