Heffy Doodle June Guest Designer - Otter Side

hello!
how excited am I to be part of the Heffy Doodle family for the month of June?! I'm back with my 2nd post of the month, and this time, I'm using the otter-ly ADORABLE Otter Side stamp set!

eeeep! otters are definitely in my top 5 favorite and cutest animals ever! and this scene was inspired by the pair of river otters that live in the lake behind my parents house!

Otter Side Card by Samantha Mann for Heffy Doodle Stamps, Guest Designer, Distress Inks, Beach, Otter, Deco Foil, Foil, Card Making, Hanmdmade cards, #heffydoodle #distressinks #decofoil #cardmaking #handmade cards

I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and then fussy cut them out!
those sweet critters are are clearly enjoy the water on a summer day! and I wish I was there, too! ha!

Otter Side Card by Samantha Mann for Heffy Doodle Stamps, Guest Designer, Distress Inks, Beach, Otter, Deco Foil, Foil, Card Making, Hanmdmade cards, #heffydoodle #distressinks #decofoil #cardmaking #handmade cards

for the background, I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salvaged Patina for the ocean. then I used Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo for the beach. then I splattered some ink color and white acrylic ink to create the sandy look.
I also used a dry brush and white acrylic paint and added the texture of the crashing of the waves onto the beach! so FUN!

I used the Stormy Seas Stencil to add the waves! first I used some DecoFoil Duo Gel. then once it was dry, I added Opal foil to make the subtle shimmer for the waves! love that subtle effect!

lastly, the sentiment was heat embossed in white onto black cardstock and then fussy cut out!

this card makes me so happy when i see it!
and I'm SOOOOO humbled and happy to be part of the Heffy Doodle blog and family this month!
be sure to check out my post on the Heffy Doodle blog, too!
enjoy!

Reverse Confetti January 2018 Release Countdown - Day 3

hi!
as one of the Reverse Confetti's Fetti Friends this month I'm stoked to share the day 3 sneak peak of the January release!

sooooo exciting! I'm in LOVE with these products this month!! how lucky am I?!
today we're showcasing the wonderful Kindess Cards stamps/die and Something Wonderful stamps/die sets!

i am super excited to share my scrapbook layout with you using these products! I know, I know, you're here for cards! but sometimes I make scrapbook layouts, too! and with the papers from the new Forever My Love 6x6 paper pad, I couldn't resist making one! ha!

so adorable, right?
my little Menn actually both looked and smiled for this photo!! what?! it was a summer's day miracle, I tell you! ha!

I used the papers from the new 6x6 paper pad to layer behind my photo. and I also tore some of the edges and look!! you can see some of the papers peeking out there, too! (that's my favorite part of the layout!)

I used gesso to mute out some of the striped paper from my stash, and then Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Hickory Smoke and a mix of Worn Lipstick/Dried Marigold as watercolor behind my photo cluster! then some white embossing paste and a polka dotted stencil on top of that to finish off the mixed media action!

lastly, I used the heart shaped die to die cut out hearts from the patterned paper and some vellum. I stitched together the vellum hearts on top of the paper hearts and then added them like embellishments to my layout! the title is from the stamp set too! I used black ink to do part of the title and then a combination of Blueprint Sketch and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks for the 'amazing' part of the title! which I then die cut out five times and layered together to add some height!

ok!

and to kick off ALL of the fun, today is the first sneak peak of the January release!

sooooo exciting! I'm in LOVE with these products this month!! how lucky am I?!
today we're showcasing the Heart Filled Sentiments and Congratulations stamp sets! There's also an amazing Congratulations die!

my first card features the Heart Filled Sentiments and Congratulations stamp sets, and I'm in SUPER major love with it!

so I started by stamping some hearts and die cutting them! ha! I used Distress Oxide Inks for all of the colors, LOVE them! then popped up some, and left some low. then I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Inks to blend the background and added some sequins!

the sentiment was heat embossed in black and I LOVE how it pops! oh! and I added some white pen details to the hearts too...because...I can! ha!

my second card uses the amazing Congratulations Square Panel Die and the Congratulations stamp/die set!

oh, and did I forget to mention it also uses some paper from the AMAZING new Forever My Love 6x6 paper pad? because, it does!
first, I die cut the panel out of the mint patterned paper, then added some Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide inks to the bottom, to add an ombre effect! then I heat embossed the sentiment in white, and added some white details to the letters!

I glued a clear piece of acetate behind the die cut, and then glued that to a partialled piece of my card base! LOVE that custom card size!
I did more stamping with Distress Oxide inks, and more die cutting with the coordinating dies for the balloons! LOVE them!

oh, and one more thing, that's super AMAZING to share...check out the this amazing Ink Color Chart available at Reverse Confetti!! the * indicates that the color is also available in cardstock! amazing!! the inks are available here!

Ok, so today I have 2 cards and 1 planner spread to share with you! Let's get to it! :)

My first card uses Dinky Doodles 1 and Daily Diary stamp sets!

LOVE it!!!
So adorable right?! I turned that little monster into a crab, and then created a tiny beach scene with Distress Oxide Inks, within the AWESOME new Postage Stamp Dies!!!
I die cut out the largest size frame 4 times and adhered them together! LOVE the stacked height!

I heat embossed the sentiment in white onto a strip of black cardstock! And I finished off the card with some gold thread around the frame, and some gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine splatters!

My 2nd card uses the BEYOND ADORABLE Monster Dies!!!! I die cut out the outline of the monster (and his arm!) 4 times and stacked it all together!
Then added color by blending some Distress Oxide Inks in Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio!

I added some glossy accents to the eyes (they look like googly eyes now!! ha!) and added some glitter to his horns!! LOVE THIS LITTLE GUY!
The watercolor background was created with Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade!

Then I added the sentiment from Halloween Sampler onto a banner of black cardstock!! So cute, right?! Those little white gel pen details I added with to the monster make me giggle, too!

My last project is a planner spread!
If you aren't aware (I mostly post my planner spread on my Instagram only), I use a planner EVERY DAY. But I don't decorate the weekly pages. I need those to be function only! LOL! But I go crazy with the monthly spreads! I call it "art planning" a mix of art journaling, and using a planner!!
So here's my spread before the pen!

What do you think?!
I started by using some white gesso on my pages, then added the watercolor rainbow look with Distress Paints! August is a busy month with both of my boys' celebrating birthdays and back to school! And this year, we even got to see the Solar Eclipse in 100% totality!! Pretty cool!

I hope you're inspired and love what you see!
Don't forget to enter for your chance(s!!) to win!!
Enjoy!
