teacher thank you cards

hi there!
today I have a trio of cards up on the Newton's Nook Designs blog!

here's a little secret...I actually made 9...yes 9 of this kind of card! ha! I originally made 6 for all of my boys' teachers, end of year thank yous, but then I sent the in to school without taking pictures! lol! so I made 3 more! lol! but that's how easy and fun these are to make!

ok, so I did lots of alcohol inking! so FUN!
I used aquas, blues and even a pop or two of purples! (and of course, some splatters of gold!)

once the backgrounds were dry, I used the Seashells Stencil and some white embossing paste to add texture and a little fun to the sides of the card! amazing!
then I used the new Seashell Roundabout stamp set and heat embossed the phrase onto some aqua cardstock.

then I used the Banner Trio Die Set to die cut out the phrases!!
honestly these cards didn't take too long to make, and I loved every part! I'm not usually a fan of mass producing cards, but sometimes, the occasion calls for it, and it's fun!

hoping to brighten your day

hello and happy Wednesday!
today I have this card up on the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog - and hopefully it sends good vibes into your life!

it's so bright and happy!
the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is all about the little images on a stamp set! so that's what I used!
those cute, tiny clouds and rainbows are from the All the Clouds! so adorable and cute, right?!
I colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut them out!

I added some details with a white gel pen, too. for the background, I used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio. then I splattered some of the colors on top to add a little interest to the background.

I finished off the card with those teeny, tiny sparkles from Unicorn Picnic! and then I added some glitter inside the sparkles!! so fun!

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #103 - Little Things

 happy Monday!

let's start this week off with a NEW challenge over at the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge blog!

yay!

 

this is always a challenge for me!
but I was still feeling the ocean/underwater beach vibes, so I decided to go with it!

 

I used lots of Distress Ink blending for my card! 

The ocean wave, which was die cut with the Stitched Wave Borders,was inkblended at first as I normally would with bright colors in Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina. then I used Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sandy beach floor.
I used Oliver's Stitched ABCs to die cut the s'hello! (get it? like shell-o! that's why I used all of the shell critters! ha!)

 

 

all of the sea images are from Ocean Shell-fie, Manatee-rific, and You are Sublime. the 'waving' part of the sentiment, and the teeny tiny fish stamped in the background are from Mermaid for You.

 

  

lastly, I used the Bubbles Stencil with some white embossing paste and ink that was one shade darker than the background, to create the bubble details for this under the sea card!

Newton's Nook Designs June Release - BBQ Roundabout, Seashell Roundabout

are you loving the release as much as I am?
we made it to day 4 of Newton's Nook Designs' June release!
and there was never a better, more summer-y, wonderful release!

oh how I love all of these new stamps, stencils and dies!! just wait until you see it all! I'm swooning!

I am totally feeling the summer- vibes with these new products!
my first card uses the Seashell Roundabout stamp set!

I started by coloring the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in a blendy way to mix all of the colors together! love those blended colors together!

for the background, I used the Seashells Stencil and some gooooorgeous Stickles Glitter Gel in Moon Dust!

I heat embossed the sentiment in Chipped Sapphire onto a vellum banner that was die cut with the Banner Trio Die Set. I also used the Circle Frames Die Set to die cut out the main image! it was then popped up with foam tape.

my very last card of the release uses the new BBQ Roundabout stamp set!

I used Distress Inks in Black Soot and Chipped Sapphire on top of some navy cardstock to add a fun grilled/deck feeling!
all of the images were colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then I used the
Circle Frames Die Set to die cut it out!

I splattered some white acrylic paint on top of the circle image, too. then I popped it up with foam tape. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on top of some vellum that was die cut with the Speech Bubbles Die Set!

I finished off the card with that sweet, cute image of stuffed Newton from the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp set! ha! so funny!

ok, let's get onto my card!
I used the sweetest little winter critter from Lawn Fawn! lol!

so cute!
I love that Winter Narwhal! he's just so cute!

I colored that image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and then fussy cut it out!
for the background, I used some alcohol inks to create the winter-y sea! then I used vellum, and die cut out the waves with the Stitched Wave Borders!

finally, I added some texture to the card with white embossing paste and the Snowflake Trio Stencil.

my first card uses my favorite set of the release - Kitten Beach!

I started by colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then using the coordinating dies to die cut them out!
I also used the Tides of Love stamp set to add some extra crabs to the scene! so fun!

for the background, I did all the ink blending again! lol! I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the water and Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sand. then I splattered some water all over it. I also splattered some of the brown colors and white acrylic ink on the sand to create the texture.
I also added some white acrylic paint along the shore to mimic some sea spray!

lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment and fussy cut out around it and popped it up!

my second card uses the fun Beach Barks and Retro Sun & Palms stamp set!

I used Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick and Spun Sugar to add color. then I splattered some water on top!

I used the Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo for the palm trees and birds, then used white flock!! it adds a subtle and fun texture!

I finsihed the card by heat embossing the sentiment in white, and the die cutting out the whole scene with the Frames & Flags die set!

my first card uses the beautiful, relaxing, wonderful Summer Moments stamp set!

I started by colored all of the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then using the coordinating dies to die cut them out!

for the background, I did all the ink blending! lol! I used Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock Feathers for the water and Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sand. then I splattered some water all over it. I also splattered some of the brown colors and white acrylic ink on the sand to create the texture.

then I used the Bokeh Stencil Set to add a dreamy, magical vibe!

my second card uses the super sweet, mini Newton's Seashell stamp set!

so fun!
I used Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina for the waves! and Vintage Photo and Fossilized Amber for the sand! (same splattering use for the sand as the top card)

then I die cut the layers out with Sea Borders and Land Borders die sets.

then I used the mermaid tail from Purr-maid Newton to make it look like one was a mermaid! oh yeah, and that same was mirror stamped, so they faced each other!
I finished off the card with some sequins!
