Finished! Funko Pop Primaris Intercessor

My take on the limited edition Funko Pop Space Marine. A really fun project as I provided something different and that's always going to bring out a new perspective

Finsihed! The Green Marine!

The green marine! I started this model at my beginners class in Canada. Which is why there happens to be a maple leaf on his shoulder. I wanted to push for bright vibrant colors on this model, opposed to my usual desaturated approach. All green, all fun.

WIP Lord Maggot

I've decided not to take on any more commissions for a while. The decision was made in order to free up time for other pursuits such as teaching and recording more videos. I'm sure I'll come back to commissions at some point but it's also important not to live your life the same way day in and day out. That aside, I have a very special project as my send-off :)

I've titled it Lord Maggot, which seems fitting. I've been working on it a bit more slowly than other projects because I want it to be perfect. During the building process I kept getting new ideas and consequently having to order the right parts. What follows are some work in progress pictures of the process. Enjoy!

...And the thunder rolls.

First off, I'd like to apologize for that pun. I can resist everything but temptation. Puns are the big red button that I cantc not push.

It's been a while since I've painted an army for myself. It can be very fun coming up with a narrative and variations on a theme. With an escalation league happening at my local store I was inspired to gibe Age of Sigmar a try.

Originally I wanted to play Kharadron Overlords but after delving into the rules, they didn't play how I wanted them to. I wanted to be lord of the skies, shooting off the deck of my airships with mass firepower, but you can't. So it was back to the drawing broad, I chose the stormcast because it would give me some variety to work with. This way I could field an army that contained cavalry, wizards, and a dragon. Count me in!

I chose to create my own theme based on my Celtic lineage and the Blackhall Chamber was born. The first step was to get a 500 point list together, mainly some battle line troops. So I put together 10 sequitors, 3 castigators, and and evocator prime to play the part of my lord arcanum. I want to customise my models but don't have a lot of leftover bits yet, I also plan on fielding a mounted general as time goes on and the points value increases.

After assembly, I split them into smaller groups for painting.

At this point the sequitors are finished, just have to squeeze out the castigators and my wizard. Also, make some scenery to match my snow bases so I can better dominate the tabletop wan stay en vogue.

The Damned One

Finished! My take on the Legion of the Damned. Painted during a small class I taught in England. I've always loved the concept, ever since that fabled and limited release of a legion of the damned captain in the 2nd edition era. I'll be making more of these. And yes we can code name him Nicholas Cage ala the ghost rider documentary.

Finished! Morathi the Shadow Queen

Kind of tricky to photograph but here she is in all her splendor! Done in an alternate scheme, the name escapes me at the moment but it's always a good move to deviate from the box art :)

Finished! The Keeper of Secrets

Or how I learned I was misspelling the word Slaanesh most of my life. A very fun model to paint but tedious as hell to assemble. I've also been enjoying offsite ambient light sourcing, fun!

Finished! Trajann Valoris

I finished this ol boy a while back but was having some quirks in the photography department. A super fun piece to work on, the simple color scheme allowed me to maximize the tones and sink some time into the finer points. Painted in about 12 hours, enjoy!
