Shit happens, so they say.First the false ceiling to the master toilet started to leak. Then the car battery went flat. These happened 2 weeks prior my departure. To add to my woes, the dogsitters played me out from time to time during my 3 month long arduous search for suitable candidates/hotels for Sprite. This is on top of my work and struggle to recover from that incessant cough from Hong Kong since 19/9. I will pesevere! the first time

No. This is not a lewd confession about one's first sexual experience. I'm watching a taped episode of Oprah on Americans voting for their president earlier this year. For many, it was the first time casting their votes. Folks interviewed on the Oprah episode talk about why they decide to make the vote this time round. Many admitted to being complacent during previous elections. But this year, the possibility of witnessing an African American candidate take up the mantle and change history forever, spurred on by many celebrities' call on media blitz to vote, prompted numerous to stand up and be counted. First time. Here on this little red dot, most of us even don't even need to vote due to the unique political situation. This has sort of bred a "Why bother?" attitude in me. Am I complacent with regards to local politics therefore? Seriously, I'm too busy to bother. Besides, voting is as "meaningless" as it is in Russia or Africa, as two interviewees on Oprah had so aptly commented, because there is only one candidate or a party involved, or in Singapore's case, a sure-win sweep for the dominating party. Nevertheless, I'm inspired once again by stories of ordinary people coming out of their comfort zones and making history. Once again, am I looping around in my comfort zone like a scratched vinyl record? Labels: media, politics, ramble mcD

Falling BillboardYou rarely, if ever, go to McDonald's. You probably won't die there, but a McDs billboard will fall on you someplace. Sorry, it sucks but it should be fast. Labels: ramble what personality trait stands out

AdventurousYou have an exciting personality. There isn't one boring moment in your life. You have an insatiable curiosity that takes you on many memorable experiences. Your wonder of the world demands that you travel, wherever it may be! Simply looking at a picture or reading about it won't be enough. You're strong and fearless enough that you come off as heroic. You have an honorable charm about you. You are very loyal to your friends, family, and especially your romantic interest. A promise is a promise. Labels: ramble tied

Someone said to me recently, "You cannot compare dogs to children."To that I replied, "Right now, Sprite's my precious like your children are to you. Respect that." Whatever ties you down in life - material possessions, your work, family or even pets - we all should respect each others`indulgences and fixes.
