Exercise Sunday: A 40-Kilometer Biking Adventure

Biking a total of at least 40 kilometers last Sunday in my mini-city bike was quite an effort and an achievement at the same time. It was exciting, a rainy adventure and we were all totally soaked! All the same, it was enjoying! Our destination was the Tea Garden or the Theetuin in Millingen and we came from Nijmegen. You can imagine if you are near either of the two places. It was raining hard so no much photos along the way.

The lil hotel and bar where we stopped by along the way to have some refuge away from the rain. I was so thirsty that I could not order something hot but a cold drink. The place was a real good business destination. It was beaming with customers.

This was the view before we enter the Theetuin. I think the reason why most of those fellow customers were NOT soaked like us is explained by the presence of this horse-drawn coach.

My Pakistan soup and white wine. The entrance fee was only €5 with a drink (the wine) but one may choose soup or tea as well.

The live band where we joined playing the "maracas".. I dunno if I spelled it right.

I was able to take shots of the place despite the raining. Just trying for some remembrance.

It was without hope  to be able to stay out.

Flowery CLosed-Up Shots

It seems a late bloom but this plant here at home just bloomed lately when the rose and other flowers have stopped having their petals opened. Not so bad after all, a colorful environment is always good to have. They cheer the spirit and pain t the surrounding. Beautiful.
back yard yard, lawn garden, relaxing, house, garden, gardening, flowers, lovely flowers, lovely flower shots

Any idea what this flower is? I just don't have any idea actually. :) Just glad that it's here growing freely in the yard/garden. I thought before it was a bad plant. ^^ I was wrong!

Weekend and Some Sunny Exposures

Hopefully the weather stays good for few more weeks. Soon it would be the cold season again. In fact rain has been pouring in the past few days and it's supposed to be a feastive week here.  Oh how good it is to be staying in the moderate weather condition: not too cold, not too hot!

The Effort's Prize

Gardening takes time and effort. Sweat and burning skin under the sun are some of the stakes but the following are the prizes. I can say that it's worth all the stakes.

Click each photo for the specific story behind it.

Now that it is summer, the beauty of the garden is even more appreciated. When the sun is on, it is really a great feeling to just lie down in there os sit and read. When it's too hot, I have the shade under the trees or the big bushes and I will have col air and cool feeling.

Simply amazing and I am so glad that I did the work. It is really a very good place to utilize and I am so proud of my handy work although, obviously, you can see that it's done poorly. ^^ Still, I can say that the garden serves it purpose. And compared to it's status when the grass was as tall as me, this is so much of an improvemen. :)
