It's just water!

What is it about water and this dog?

Situation #1:  It is a nice sunny day, the garage door opens and Riggs goes walking outside onto the driveway.

Situation #2:  It rained earlier today and everything is still wet, the garage door opens and Riggs goes to the edge of the garage and then stops.  Dada then needs to drag Riggs outside onto the wet driveway.

Situation #3:  It was a nice sunny day and overnight the sprinklers ran or dew formed on the grass, the garage door opens and Riggs goes walking outside onto the driveway but as soon as we get to the grass he stops in his tracks and has to be dragged onto the grass.

Our little screened in porch was in serious need of cleaning so I dragged everything out and was spraying it down with the hose.  Riggs came up to the glass door to check out what was going on and I just could not resist teasing him with the water.  I know such a bad Dada.

Beach bum

Today we took Riggs to a local beach that allows pets.  He was not really sure what to think of the sand at first.  He kept sniffing the sand and walking tenderly on it.  It was pretty hot that day so we tried to get him to go in the water but of course Riggs wanted nothing to do with the water and he would take off any time a tiny wave would crash down on the shore.  Such a wussy dog you are.

Are you sure we don’t own a cat? (Part 1)

One thing is very apparent.  Riggs does NOT like the water.  Giving him a bath in the tub today was a challenge to say the least.  Fortunate for mama, he is not big enough yet to be able to crawl out of the tub.  I could hear all sorts of commotion in the bathroom and took a peak in there to see what was going on.

After he was done and dried off, the door was open and he bolted out of there.  Riggs was running up and down the hallway over and over obviously throwing a temper tantrum.  Such a baby.
