Merry Christmas. What did I get?

Sorry everyone. It has been forever since I have posted a new blog post. Things have been crazy busy but finally is calming down down.

Riggs was VERY excited to see what Santa brought him in his stocking. It is obvious pretty quickly what stuffed animal Riggs favors. *Sigh* Three new stuffed animals to come up with names for. Good Grief.

It's a jungle "IN" here

I know this is similar to a post I did many months back but I have some video captured this time.  After many many years of saving our nickels and dimes we saved up enough money to replace our living room TV (a 13 year old 27" Sony CRT) with a drool worthy Samsung 59" Plasma flat screen TV.

I went and bought Planet Earth on blu ray and over the past several nights we have been thoroughly enjoying it in all its high def glory.  However Riggs has been having some issues adjusting to the new TV and especially to Planet Earth.  He is completely confused on what he hears and sees on the TV.  If you watch the video carefully you will see two times when the monkeys begin to move from the left side of the TV screen to the right where Riggs will turn his head and look up the stairs thinking the monkeys are going to start running up the stairs.  He can not seem to figure out that the monkeys are "inside" the TV.  He is convinced monkeys are going to start running up the stairs.

Temper Tantrum

As you all are well aware, Riggs HATES taking a bath.  Keeping him in the tub is a constant battle and drying him off is pretty much a lost cause.  Although we really don't need to dry him off because as soon as that bathroom door opens he proceeds to air dry himself by throwing a temper tantrum like a two year old.

What did Santa bring me?

Christmas morning has arrived and Riggs must know as soon as possible what Santa brought him.

Our little screened in porch was in serious need of cleaning so I dragged everything out and was spraying it down with the hose.  Riggs came up to the glass door to check out what was going on and I just could not resist teasing him with the water.  I know such a bad Dada.

Suck suck suck

Ok I have to know if anyone else has a dog that does this. Not sure if this is a pug thing or just another odd thing that Riggs does. Riggs like to suck on some of his stuffed animals. I am not sure how to describe this. On a few of his stuffed animals that have a big nose / face (e.g. Baboo, Stinky Nanners & Sunny), he lays down with the stuffed animal in front of him, grabs hold of the stuffed animals nose/face in his mouth and sits there and sucks on it for 30 mins or more. Is Riggs the real Santa Claus?

As you all are well aware by now, Mama likes to dress poor Riggs up in ridiculous outfits during the holidays.  So it should be no surprise that she dressed Riggs in a Santa suit and placed him by the Christmas tree to take a picture for our Christmas cards this year.

So enjoy the photo below and feel sorry for the poor guy.  I also posted a video of this event to show that Riggs had no interest in getting his picture taken instead he was more interested in attempting to eat the Christmas tree.

Catch the light

I needed a flashlight for something and when I shined it on what I needed to see, Riggs suddenly became curious on what the round white circle on the ground was.  So we had a little fun teasing the goofball.

Sh*tstorm Wednesday

The joys of potty training continue however for some reason every Wednesday lately we have gotten home to ummmmmm, I think Eddie Murphy's reaction in the video below says it best.

R.I.P. (Rest In Pieces)

A couple of stuff animals have not survived long enough to introduce them to you during “Toy Chest – Tuesday.”  This video below pretty well sums up what he likes to do with his stuffed animals.  In this video you will see “Froggy 1” who takes the beating and you will see a green octopus on the floor as well that did not make it.  So rest in pieces poor stuffed animals of low quality.   You have not survived Riggs long enough to be in the spotlight.
