New Ships - Clone Wars X-mas, part 2

Continuing my FFG X-wing (1/270) scale ships from Christmas.

Naboo N-1's, from Shapeways.  Once again standing next to the Star Wars Starship Battles mini.  Silver's always really hard to paint right, but I used a can of silver spray paint as the primer, then just did a coat or two with my silver acrylic paint and it came out really smooth.

New Ships - Clone Wars X-mas, part 1

I painted up some Clone Wars era ships for a friend of mine.  He said he loved the FFG minis, but didn't want to play the game; when I heard he loved the designs from the Clone Wars, I had my Christmas gift idea.

So, long time, no posts....  I know.  Part of the problem was that I usually use Microsoft Picture Manager to edit my photos, and I recently updated my Microsoft Office to 2013, which it turns out doesn't include Picture Manager.  Anyway, I just found a work-around here, so we're back on track.

Well, I'm back.  Ok, not so much back as willing to put effort into uploading pictures to my blog.  Whatever.  Anyway, these pictures got taken back in October, and the ships might have sat around waiting to get their picture taken even longer than than.  Without further ado....

So, here's the 2nd half of the latest ships I've gotten done.  They are smaller ships (mostly fighters).

Here we can see two Skipray Blastboats facing off against a Tartan Patrol Cruiser and a Experimental TIE Fighter.

An "Imperial-style" Dreadnaught and Strike Cruiser.  The Strike Cruiser is another mis-molded ship that I fixed up from here.

So, I finally have some pictures of my newest ships.  Enjoy.

 Here we can see a Mu-class Scout Shuttle and a Gunstar starfighter.  The Gunstar is from here.  It's made out of metal and is surprisingly heavy, but it has great detail.

New Ships, part 2 (4-15-13)

These ships were part of the batch I got finished the other day, but there were so many ships that I just split up the update, rather than delay it any longer.

Corellian Gunships from Utar Ships.  They're good looking, crisp models.  Each one is slightly different, so I'm pretending they represent a DP20a, DP20b, and DP20c.  But really, I'm giving them all the same ship stats.
