Missing My Hammies

There is no easy way to say this. I'm missing my hammies something awful! Today would be Girl Girl's birthday. My sweet hammie friend with the big bootiful eyes left for the Rainbow Bridge at the end of the summer...
and then one month ago our sweet hammie bud, Moosie unexpectedly left for the Rainbow Bridge to be with her BFF, Girl Girl.
Each of these hammies were extraordinary in their own ways and have left their unique marks on our hearts! Girl Girl was an accomplished athlete ~ she liked boxing and
gymnastics. She was a faithful friend to Stella & I, and was the very first hammie I had ever known. She gave the best little hammie smooches, and she always made me laugh.

Princess Mooskeeta (Moosie to her friends) was younger than Girl Girl, but just as sweet a hammie as you will ever meet!

She and her big brother, Huskee Boy, had a very close relationship.

And she was a great correspondent, always writing to me, and giving me the nickname Stan Stan!

She was a bit of a daredevil just like her mentor and BFF, Girl Girl.

Here is a rare photo of the two of them together. I like to think that they're running through the fields at the Rainbow Bridge together, wild and free!

We here in GooberStan will never forget sweet Girl Girl and sweet Moosie! You two hammies will always be in our hearts!
Goober love,
Stanley

StellaFest Part 2

WHOA! Goobery greetings & salutations!

Since this is my very first birthday EVER, I had no idea what to expect. This whole birthday thing has been an odyssey of friends, food, presents, and loads of love! The celebration has been going on now for almost 2 weeks and I want to share some more of it with you. Are you ready?

Lets start with my FAB birthday cards and all of the poems, limericks and songs I got. I've been cracking up ever since they started rolling in! The first one is from my buddies Maggie & Mitch. (Sorry. I couldn't figure out how to load it onto my blog so it would show up so you can't see it.)

This is part of Agatha & Archie's card to me. It was a video card, which my crazy girl can't figure how to load here. But this is the photo and the caption they sent with it!

Dear Stella,It's hard to believe it is your birthday already!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Hope you get lots and lots of treats and goodies and toys!!(what more could a girl ask for????) Give the Goober a kiss for us..Love and kisses to you birthday girl! Agatha and Archie(oh and PL2)

This here is a poem from my pal, Deetz! He chose my Audrey Hepburn photo to accompany the poem.

A Birthday Poem for a special little terrier girl
I am not very good, but will give it a whirl.

She has a big brother named, Stan
Who loves and protects her, as best as he can.

Ms. Stella so loved by all who have met her.
With those curls and button nose, she even makes the kitty’s purr.

She walks with grace, the same way Audrey Hepburn did.
And plays with toys and bitey face, just like any other kid.

This birthday poem, I wish her well.
Please don’t party so hard you wind up in jail.

But, if you do, I’ll break you out.
For I am a Stormy’s mission army scout.

Wear your bandanna and collars very proud.
And your birthday party makes you feel like your floating on a cloud.

With your permission, may I kiss you on the nose.
Then maybe later we can play a little bitey toes.

Happy Birthday my Little Ms. Stella
From your pal, Deetz, one goodlooking hansome Fella.

Happy Happy Birthday To You!!!

Deetzy

Look at this sweet sweet card from Rocky & Lacy Lulu!

Being my fashion icon and terrier girl mentor, Asta knew just what type of card to send me.

My fabulous friend, Ruby Bleu, wrote me a special song to the tune of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cindi Lauper.

I come in from running outside
Stanley and my Girl says it's my barkday tonight
I can't believe that I just turned 1...
I'm Stella and I like to have fun
It's my first barkday and I'm gonna have fun!!!

Last year, I was a pup looking for a home
My Girl says Stanley we could give her a good life
Oh I can't believe what a lucky girl I was
I'm Stella and I like to have fun
It's my first barkday and I'm gonna have fun!!!

That's all I really want
Lots of bloggy friends and a loving home too
I'm Stella and I like to have fun
It's my first barkday and I'm gonna have fun!!!

Lots of Licks, Ruby

This is Girl Girl's card to me. Can you see her giving me a birthday smooch?

Noah, Willow, Lucy & Tess came up with this inviting limerick for me. (How did they know I LOVE beer?)

Stella lives in the States
She & I are great mates
I wish shelived here
Where we'd share a beer
&
Go running around the estate.

This card is from Boy & Baby.

I also received some gooberlicious presents from Noah, Willow, Tess & Lucy; from Momo & Pinot; and from Mr. T-Bone Beaseley, and a very special birthday card from my boyfriend, Taffy. My girl put them all in one box for me to see how I'd handle opening it. The presents themselves will be revealed in my last installment of StellaFest, but here are a few photos of me investigating the goods!

Since the over-the-top approach was NOT working I knocked the box over and went for the side approach.

Ahhhh. Much better.

Maybe I could live in here.

Don't fret! My big hairy Stanley wasn't left out in the cold!

Thank you everydoggie, hammie & kitty who stopped by to give me birthday LOVE!

I LOVE ALL OF YOU with all of my goober heart!

One happy goobette,
Stella

Babe Magnet

Recently I've been feeling the love from three very important ladies who saw fit to grace me with some goodies from afar. Girl Girl, my best hammie bud, Ruby Bug my sweet and sassy California girl, and Suki my sizzling Florida cutie. Get a load of how much they showered me with love via post.

This one of my fave photos of Girl Girl. She looks like one tough hammie, but is as sweet as can be!

Her package winged its way to me all the way from SingaPaw! I dug right in when I sniffed out that it was from my hammie pal!

I'm an expert with these mailing envelopes.

Just a couple of more moves and the goodies will all be mine.

Aha! Success is seconds away.

First I unearthed some tasty Salmon treats.

Then I pulled out a bunch of love gifts! See the cool banana I'm wearing? That's a gen-u-ine SingaPaw banana! And, look at the rest of the goodies she sent. I got a squeaky donut and a cute furry Airedale stuffie. (My hooman girl claimed possession of the stuffie... for now).

The best part was Girl Girl's note to me.

I was really eating it up, literally and figuratively!

Girl Girl!!! You are the best buddy to me! I love you. Thanks for the tasty snacks, the squeaky and stuffie toys, and the amazing fashion accessory. I think of you when I wear it (and those Salmon snacks, incidentally, were gone in like 5 minutes ~ I scarffed them down)!

The next beauty in my bevy of gift givers was my lovepup, Ruby Bug! Doesn't she just look like sassiness dogified?

She sent me this big ol' box. Once I smelled my lovepup had sent it, I tore right in!

I started sytematically unpacking the box! (It was pretty full).

The first thing I pulled out was this dog tag. Evidently, I'm a BABE MAGNET! (She's got that right. Just look who's sending me packages).

Then I fished out this deliciously fabulous Orbee ball of the WHOLE WORLD! I had no idea that the world was so minty fresh smelling.

I can't even begin to list all the amazing stuff I found in that box (it would be a little embarrassing to admit). There were even prezzies for Merv and my hooman girl too! It was a ball-themed box of love, and here I am with most of my toy haul and some of the incredible snacks that were tucked in among the balls.

Ruby Bug! You humble me with your love. I'm so happy you are mine! I think of you everytime I play with one of my new balls or eat one of those delicioso snacks. I soooo love you, girlie! I especially cherish your card and love note, but won't be sharing the details of those here. A guy has to maintain some privacy.

On the very same day my package from Ruby came, there was another big box sitting on top of it just waiting for my loving attention. It was from my spicey little Love Pug, Suki. Just look at that tongue! This is one of her trademark expressions!

Of course, I had to dig right in. The box was big enough I wondered if Suki Girl had tried to send herself to me.

I worked my package-opening magic on the box extra quick. Had to get her out!

No Suki (sigh), but she did send me this cute little lambie guy and a whole cannister of squeaky tennis balls! They'll do in a pinch, but it's just not the same as snuggling up to Suki herself.

Then I found this. It's the LOVE HOUND! (I see where you're going with this, Suki). This is what the Love Hound looked like in pristine condition.

I attended to loving on my new Love Hound with all my goober might.

And, this is what he looked like 30 minutes later. Poor Love Hound.

Even though I totally gooberized him, I love him still, and think of, you, Suki whenever I pull all his parts together and lie down on him. Thank you, Suki Girl! Just know that the gooberized condition of your Love Hound is evidence of my love for you!

There was also a boatload of great snacks and a love note from Suki, but hey, that's pawsonal.

This is the face of one goob who KNOWS he is loved. Everytime I look at any of the sweet goodies I received, they only serve as reminders of the great hammie friend, and two lovepups I am fortunate enough to have in my life! Does that make me a babe magnet or just one lucky goober?

Love,
Stanley

Goob Gone Wild

Has anydoggie or hammie seen this goob since Butchy's campout?

This is Stanley's hooman girl here. I'm a little worried about my goober boy. He never came home from Butchy's birthday pawty in Iowa. His backpack is still at Butchy's, and the only thing missing out of it is his Power Puff Girls pillow! (He never goes anywhere without that thing). Here's what it looks like.

From what information I've been able to gather so far, he was last seen in the company of this hammie...

... and this foxy wire girl.

Girl Girl the hammie has returned home to Singapore. I can't reach Asta's mommi & daddi, so I don't know if she is home yet from the pawty. But, I did notice that Stanley had posted several messages on Asta's behalf in her cbox, telling everydoggie & hammie that she was having "pooter problems." Hmmm. It just makes me wonder if he's gone a little wild...

If any of you see him, tell him he better get his goober butt on home. I don't care if he IS the ruler of his own country.

Love to all you hammies & doggies,

Stanley's girl
