Crazy 4 Challenges - Organize your home day

It's a whole new year with Crazy 4 Challenges full of fun!  Today's challenge is about organizing your home and to create a card for a new home owner or something for the home.  I chose to try out a technique that I saw on Els' Technique Friday using both the positive and negative pieces of their peel-offs.

I cut a piece of Red Metallic Shimmer Sheetz large enough to fit the flower peel-off.  Next, I added the black outline of the flower and then filled in some of the petals with the same flower peel-off using silver and gold.  I added glitter border lines around the card and finished it off with a peel-off sentiment.
Shimmer Sheetz sure are beautiful in person, but tricky to take a photo of without having a reflection of my camera.☺

Crazy 4 Challenges - Bubble Bath Day

It's time for the Crazy 4 Challenges Bubble Bath Day challenge. Yesterday was Bubble Bath Day - who knew right?  The team was to include something that relates to bubbles on our card.
I had the perfect peel off sticker for this challenge, Koi Fish & Flowers gold Peel-Off Sticker from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
One of my crafty friends had given me these card blanks previously and I knew this dotted card base would be the perfect background for the koi.  I applied Clear Double Sided Adhesive to white card stock then adhered the peel-off stickers and covered with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter.  The koi and flowers were colored with alcohol based markers, fussy cut then adhered using Dimensionals.  I die cut the "Hello" from black card stock and black foam for added height.  For added shine, I covered the "Hello" with Crystal Effects.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - National Lighthouse Day

It's time for Crazy 4 Challenges!  Today's theme is based on National Lighthouse Day.  The team was challenged to create a card featuring a lighthouse.  If we didn't have a lighthouse stamp (I do not), think where you would find a lighthouse....near the sea, beach etc and use that for your inspiration.
Like I mentioned, I don't have a lighthouse stamp BUT what I did have was the Lighthouses Peel-Off Stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs and then I got the idea to use Stampin' Up!'s By the Tide stamp set as a background.
I stamped the images from By the Tide onto Naturals Ivory Cardstock using Very Vanilla Craft Ink (retired) and covered it with Scented Vanilla Embossing Powder (retired).  After heat setting the images, I sponged Lost Lagoon, Pacific Point and Not Quite Navy Classic Ink over the images.
I placed the lighthouse and starfish peel-off onto Watercolor Paper and colored them with Stampin' Write Markers and an Aquapainter.
I used a Transfer Sheet to transfer the negative image of the lighthouse to the inside of my card.  I purposefully didn't put a sentiment onto the card so I can use it as a note card or customize it later.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Elizabeth Craft Designs' Designer Challenge - New Peel-Offs

It's time for the Elizabeth Craft Designs' Designer Challenge!  The team was challenged to use any of the new Peel-Off stickers on their projects.  I decided to make a Summer Journal that can be used for pictures or write your thoughts.
I used Tags & More 8 - Lattice to create the journal and the accessory die to create the holes to bind them all together.  I used Summer Peel-Offs that were backed with Transparent Double Sided Tape Sheet covered with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter then colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  "Summer 2015" was die cut from brightly colored cardstock using Alphabet 1 and Numbers & More 1.
After coloring all the peel-offs, I fussy cut them out and placed them on the pages.  To compliment the opposite page, I used a Transfer Sheet to transfer the negative peel-off image.
I used Karen Burniston's Beach Edges to create the water.  I think adding Glitter Lines around the edges adds just the right amount of bling without any bulk.
I used Rainy Day to create the sunbrella, simply die cut the umbrella twice, cut apart the sections to make it multi colored.
For the final page, I used the Beach Edges again to create this tropical scene.

Lighthouse Peel-Off Stickers

I created a bookmark using the new tag die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  The Lighthouses Peel-Off Stickers were applied to white card stock that has Double Sided Adhesive then covered with Cool Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter and colored with Tombow markers.
I created the light beam from an accessory die included in the set.

Happy Stamping,
Raquel

Elizabeth Craft Designs' July Design Team Challenge - Stand Up Helpers

The Elizabeth Craft Designs' Design Team was challenged to make a card using any of their Stand Up Helpers.  I decided to use the newly released  Stand Up Helpers Set 2 for my card along with Peel-Off stickers for my main image.

Place the Peel-Off sticker on white card stock that has Double Sided Adhesive on it, cover with Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter then color with markers.  Coloring on glitter is really fun!  Here's a video from Els showing how to color on Silk Microfine Glitter.  From green card stock, cut 2 Stand Up Helpers and 1 Thinking of You Stand Up Helper and cut them away from excess card stock as shown.

To use the negative image of the Peel-Off Sticker you will need a Transfer Sheet - you can  just barely see it in the photo - burnish the pieces to the Transfer Sheet and then stick the pieces to your project.  I use a bone folder to help stick the pieces to the Transfer Sheet and to stick the pieces down on my project.  Here's a video from Els, showing how to use Transfer Sheets.

Here you can see that I have the whole image on the Transfer Sheet and ready to put on my project.  When transferring, slowly lift up the Transfer Sheet to make sure all the pieces are sticking to your project, if they aren't, then burnish again with a bone folder.

Viola, now I have all the pieces on my project.  Place Gold Border Lines around the edges, use Dimensionals to adhere the leaf.  Cover the Stand Up Helpers on base card with the green Helpers that you had cut.  Finish the card by adhering the rest of the items to your card.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and feel inspired to try the Stand Up Helpers for fun & easy easel cards.

Happy Stamping,
Raquel
