Crazy 4 Challenges - Support card

The Crazy 4 Challenges team members are making sympathy, support, or hope cards this week.  I stamped this beautiful flower onto glossy white using StazOn and colored it using Stampin' Write Markers.  I was able to blend very easily because the glossy paper isn't porous.

Crazy 4 Challenges - Monochromatic

It's a monochromatic theme with Crazy 4 Challenges today.  Make a card that has different shades of one color - you may use white or black as an accent.
I love how this card came out.  I saw a similar card on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for the monochromatic challenge. Since purple is my favorite color that's what I chose to go with.  And not only that, I was gifted some of this beautiful purple cardstock from one of my customers (thank you very much Pattie).
I stamped the flower from Helping Me Grow onto a piece of Wisteria Wonder.  I stamped the flower from Birthday Blooms onto a scrap piece of the purple and fussy cut it out.  This is a very simple card to make but it's just SO pretty!  Or am I just biased because purple is my favorite color?

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Color Wheel Mix Up

The Crazy 4 Challenges is mixing it up this week.  Color wheel mix up....find your favorite 2 colors on the wheel and use the 2 colors on the opposite side of the wheel.  No doubt about it that my favorite color is purple, so that means I need to use yellow & orange for this challenge.
I stamped this gorgeous flower from Birthday Blooms with Versamark, covered with black embossing powder then heat set.  I used various colors of Stampin' Write Markers to color the flower in.
I used a scalloped Layering Squares die from Stampin' Up to stamp my sentiment on.
Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Crazy 4 Challenges - Make it Floral

The Crazy 4 Challenges team are making it floral this week!  The team is to put a bouquet or a single flower on our projects this week.
I stamped the flower from Birthday Blooms onto Whisper White with Versamark and embossed with black embossing powder.  I water colored the flower using some of the new In Colors - Emerald Envy, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo.  I fussy cut the flower and placed it on top of a Bermuda Bay Layering Squares die cut.  I stamped the sentiment (from the same stamp set) onto a die cut from Rose Garden Thinlits.  I am also using a new Specialty Designer Series Paper called Pop of Pink.
I love the font on this sentiment - I like the mix of script and print.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel

Swirly Flourish Stencil

I thought I would have a little play with Karen Burnitson's new Stage It Stencils!  I decided to make a faux velvet brocade using the Swirly Flourish Stencil.
I found this metallic textured card stock in my stash and I thought it would look great as a brocade.  I placed the stencil over the card stock and used a little bit of washi tape to hold the stencil in place.  I covered the stencil with the original chalky white embossing paste, scrape off the excess and let it dry.  For the sentiment, I used 2 different sized of Katie Labels and used a gel pen to trace around the die.  The little flower is from a Stampin' Up! stamp set called Birthday Blooms and I added a bit of Gold Wink of Stella to the center of the flower.

Happy Stampin',
Raquel
