I AM COLLETING COWEBS!an entry for the longest time ever! a few updates on what went on in the recent couple of weeks. i had a memorable birthday dinner, not forgetting the subsequent events that came after that. i had very nice birthday gifts too!
like my fetish for fire engines and firemen!
i feel like i was reliving my childhood again,
especially with lego set from sam :)
plus, a cash voucher from the G12.
its one of my favourite shoe brands!
YAYY! i can buy new happy shoes :):)
then came this medley of little gifts from my girls. like totally colourful, random and quite-me i must say.
thank you xh for the baking the brownie!
not forgetting the reason behind the kellogg's froot loops cereal that they decided to put in as part of the gift.
BUT OF COS, look at the name of the bird.
(FYI, the name is imprinted on its chest)
how cheeky a gift! :)
so there was also my cousin's wedding dinner last night. weddings are such happy joyous events, its so heartwarming and glad to see how my older counsins get married one after another, especially when my paternal family is pretty big. my grandma must be really happy :)
too busy catching up that i only managed a few pics on my cam last night. but these are a few of my fav people!
PLUS, the G12 KTV session this afternoon. what a tremedous 3-hour long earthquake that shook the entire room with many rounds of our very own "yan chang hui"!

HOME QUARANTINED!you know, i'm kinda getting bored being stuck at home. so much for being social responsible, that i can only resume school/work this wed. how wonderful a birthday gift! *pouts*but nevertheless, i'm glad for a second holiday of home quarantine after my bangkok trip. i remembered i was very whinny and was full of complaints about how my first 2 weeks of june hols were taken up by seminars and workshops. after which came the cell retreat at batam and following, my trip to bangkok. i was complaining about the hectic back-to-back timing and how hols don't seem like hols anymore. yet this 7 days seemed more like a blessing in disguise now. over the last few days, i managed to do quite a bit of admin work at home. i finally replied those long long ago emails which i hestitated to do so immediately cos of the need to act upon those responsibilities almost at once. i was also able to prepare quite a bit of work for the academics of my students. apart from the fact that there is a mountain load of work and admin matters to attend to once i get back to school, i am pretty relaxed at home at the moment. well, no point hurrying now cos there isn't much i can do since i can't go to school anyway. i shall just stay happy writing my own quarantine stories at home.but then again, i can't wait to get back to school to settle all that i need. And to get my momentum going again. my engine is quite recharged enough, i need to get moving soon before i turn into a couch potato!yet through all the hoo-ha about the H1N1 influenza, i thank God for keeping me well and healthy! :)

BATAM VIEW BEACH RESORT
this is the name of the game which started off along our journey to batam right from the very beginning. which we all got hooked on!
a few of the many many self portraits and self shots taken. we are girls OKAYYS!!!
pretty pretty view of our 4 days 3 nights stay in the comfort of a homely villa :)
of cos, we can't miss out on the yummylicious food!
plus the beautiful sceneries too!
we did some silly things. these, all for the attempt of getting a gift pen out of its casing! :(*OUCH*
besides swimming and playing ball in the pool, we played and played and played and played and played and PLAYED and PLAYED! 
WHEEEEE~!what a great time spent with awesome company! :)

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
we celebrated my paternal grandma's birthday at some chinese restaurant at amoy street. (oops. i lost count of her age though!) they served the pretty old yet authentic kind of chinese/teochew dishes which i could vaguely remember those wedding dinners when i was so much younger. haha. but the amount of food was really generous that somehow tonight's celebration seemed to be 12-course meal instead of the current trend of 8-course or the good old 10-course of the past.
aiya. sadly, not all of my cousins turned up. so we couldn't take more pictures. or rather we were busy taking more pictures of food and random shots than ourselves. nevertheless, it was a good enjoyable dinner with awesome company! :)

I WANT... i suppose being sick and having a whole pile of work at the same time have made me go a little cranky. too much of plain and healthy home cooked stuff has been boring. so much so that i've a crazy fetish & craving for shanghainese food right now.
