Spellbinders Merry Stitchmas Collection

Hello everyone!
I hope you are doing well. I am very excited to share a set of cards today showcasing the Spellbinders Merry Stitchmas Collection. If you’re brand new to stitching dies, don’t worry at all, because these dies are super easy to work with and you’ll get the hang of them very quickly!

My first card features the Circular Stitch Background Etched Dies, the Pop Up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh, the Shapeabilities Swirl Tags Dies, and the Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies.

This Circular Stitch Background Etched Dies set will add detail and texture to your holiday projects and is versatile enough to use all year long. The Circular Stitch Background die set contains two dies – Outline as well as a stitch-able insert. It's perfect for creating a stitched background on an A2 card base and has an intricate pierced pattern. Stitching brings out the beauty of this design, but is an option - You can also just die cut and emboss to highlight the lines and layer onto the A2 card front. The other thing I love about this die set is that the possibilities are endless. Just by changing the colors of card stock and floss you use you can get so many different looks.

To create my card, I used the Circular Stitch Outline die to cut the background panel out of Alabaster Cardstock. Next, I stitched the entire design with light peach embroidery thread. I split the thread in half so that the 6 strands become 3, then thread a needle, and began stitching. I worked from the area in the middle out to the edges, but you could really stitch in whatever order you like! If you’ve never stitched like this before, do not worry, for there are templates included to help you figure out where to put your needle!

Next, I die cut Alabaster Cardstock using the various poinsettia dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh Set. I coloured each of the pieces using Mermaid Markers from Jane Davenport and embossed the centres using the 2mm and 5mm ball stylus tips from Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I added some glitzy jewel stickers in the centres of the flowers to give them more definition. The leaves and sprigs were die cut out of Snowdrift Cardstock again using dies included in the Pop Up 3D Vignette Poinsettia Sleigh Set and the Petite Floral Potpourri Etched Dies. These were coloured using Mermaid Markers from Jane Davenport too. Then, I shaped the die cut pieces using the 2mm ball stylus tip from Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit. I adhered the flowers and leaves to my panel using hot glue.

Once that was done, I die cut Vellum and Snowdrift Cardstock using the scalloped tag dies in the Swirl Tags Etched Die Set. Next, I stamped my sentiment to the die cut piece using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then attached it to my project using foam squares. I then matted my card panel to a piece of Snowdrift Cardstock before adhering it to an A2-sized top-folding white card base using liquid glue. I added some light blue rhinestones in the centre of each of the stitched circles as the finishing touch.

This is a set of three thin metal dies and the diamond insert cuts dots to act as a guide for stitching a diamond pattern. You can also use the design as is because the embossed lines have faux stitched details. One can also add the split rims together with the insert for a wonderful border or a single die to create a decorative edge! It's a versatile set and can be used in a number of ways. I decided to create an entire card panel using the design!

To create my card, I used the diamond insert die to cut the design in the centre of my panel on Snowdrift Cardstock. Then, I went ahead and die cut it four more times to create my background panel. Next, I stitched the entire design with sky blue and grey embroidery threads. I split the thread in half so that the 6 strands become 3, then thread a needle, and began stitching. This was very therapeutic to do and quite fun too!

Once I finished stitching on the entire panel, I die cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the medium frame die in the Hemstitch Rectangles Etched Die Set. I then cut the centre of the die cut piece using a coordinating rectangle die from the A2 Matting Basics A Card Creator Etched Die Set. Next, I die cut another rectangle, albeit a little smaller, from Snowdrift Cardstock. I stamped my sentiment on to it using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then adhered both the frames down to my panel using foam squares.

Next, I die cut Snowdrift Cardstock using the floral and leaf dies included in the Simply Perfect Layered Blooms Etched Dies and the Mini Blooms and Sprigs Etched Dies. I coloured the pieces using the Mermaid Markers from Jane Davenport and then adhered them around the frame using foam squares.

I matted my stitched panel to a panel of Pink Sand Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding white card base with liquid adhesive. I love how this card came together. What do you think?

Spellbinders & Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month | April 2021

Hello, crafty friends!
Hope you are doing well and staying safe!
I have a card to share today featuring the Spellbinders & Amazing Paper Grace April 2021 Die of the Month Set. This month's "Dahlia Dimensional Doily" Set is perfect for making gorgeous cards, gift boxes, gift bags, and more in no time! This die set features 11 dies.

I created a wedding card in pastel colours using the Dahlia Dimensional Doily Set. This die set is a mini collection of options, all together in one set. I have used the filigree panel die in the set along with the spiral flower dies for my card, but you can also use the Dahlia Doily die if you'd like.

I love the sweet, romantic rolled flower dies in this set and I was so happy to create them after a long time. The dies include a score line, so that you could bend the edges over easily while making them. You can control the overall size by how tightly you wind them, so you can make flowers in any size you'd like.

For my card, I started by die cutting Pink Sand Cardstock with the filigree panel die from the Dahlia Dimensional Doily. I die cut it twice, so as to create an A2-sized panel for my card front. I also die cut the die from Fun Foam, so that I could layer the two pieces, one on top of the other, for dimension and interest.

Next, I die cut White Cardstock with the spiral flower dies from the set. I coloured the die cut pieces using watercolor half-pans for a soft, muted look. Then, to create the roses, I used the scoring tip from the Tool N' One to burnish the scored lines from the back of the die cut. Then, from the front, I bent back the scored edges. Next, I placed the thinnest end of the flower into my Quilled Creations Slotted Quilling Tool and turned it, so that the flower wrapped around the quilling tip with the rose edges bending outward. I added glue to the rounded base of the flower and my rose was ready! These are probably the easiest flowers you'll ever make, so if you've been thinking of trying your hands at flower making, this is just the perfect die set for you!

The leaves and foliage were die cut from White Cardstock and Vellum using the Simply Layered Blooms Etched Dies. I coloured the die cuts with Electric Lime ink using a sponge dauber. Next, for my focal element, I die cut a circle out of Vellum using the Nestabilities Standard Circles LG Etched Dies and then die cut the doily lace insert from the Dahlia Dimensional Doily twice from White Cardstock. I also die cut a circle from Gold Mirror Cardstock and a scalloped circle from Pink Sand Cardstock. The sentiment was stamped using Black Licorice ink on a circle die cut. I adhered all of these together using a mix of foam adhesive and Craft Glue.

I adhered the roses and the foliage on my card front using Craft Glue. I mounted the panel to a mat layer of Gold Mirror Cardstock, followed by a panel of Pink Sand Cardstock. I then attached it to a top-folding white card base made from White Cardstock and my card was complete.

Pinkfresh Studio August 2020 Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Hello, crafty friends!
It's release day at Pinkfresh Studio and we have an amazing blog hop to celebrate Pinkfresh Studio's August 2020 Stamp and Die Release! You aren't going to want to miss a stop along the way. This blog hop is full of amazing projects showcased by all the guest designers and the design team.

We've got TONS of inspiration and giveaways for you on the hop today, so keep reading till the end of this post for more information.

For today's hop, I have created two cards featuring the Sweet Blooms Stamp and Stencil Set. I also have some tags to share, which I created using an assortment of products from the August release, so let's just get right into it all!

The Sweet Blooms Stamp is a gorgeous background set that comes with a set of three coordinating stencils which work perfectly with the stamp. I love how the stamp & stencil combination offers so many possibilities. You may choose to simply ink the background stamp and use it as is, colour it, or use it with the coordinating stencil set.
My first card features the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and Stencil Set along with the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp. I love combining my supplies whenever I am working on any project as it offers so many new possibilities. I started off by stamping the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp to my card panel using Detail Black ink. This is a hybrid ink, which means, you can use this ink with watercolor, water-based markers, and alcohol-based markers. I coloured the panel using Liquid Watercolours (Candy Apple, Key Lime, and Emerald City) and kept it aside to dry. Once dry, I added some very simple pencil highlights to the flowers and leaves using some Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. Then, I die cut the panel using the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

Then, I took another panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 LBS Cardstock and stamped the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp on it using Peach Fuzz ink. Once that was done, I die cut the panel using the largest frame die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set

I trimmed both the panels in half and popped them over to my card base using craft foam. This helped give it dimension and keep the panels in focus. I also adhered two strips of paper to make the seams of the panels look more flawless.

The die cut sentiment is from Lea's Ornate Uppercase Die Set and Lea's Ornate Lowercase Die Set. I die cut them from white cardstock and coloured the tips of the letters using Coral Reef ink. The rest of the sentiment is from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set. It was stamped using Detail Black ink on a strip of white cardstock which was then foam mounted for dimension. To complete my card, I added some clear sequins.

My second card for today also features the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and the coordinating Stencil Set

For my card, I first heat embossed the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp using Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder on Canson Montval Watercolor Paper. Once that was done, I coloured the entire background using Liquid Watercolours (Aquamarine, Clementine, Key Lime, and Emerald City) and kept it aside to dry.

Once dry, I added some pencil highlights to the flowers and leaves using some Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils. Then, I die cut the panel using the largest frame die from the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set. I also trimmed a piece of Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered it behind my card panel to add some interest to my design.

I wanted the die-cut sentiment to be the focal for my card, so I die cut the letters 'Hugs' from Heather's Lowercase Die Set from Black Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and adhered them on to a strip of Vellum Cardstock. I tore the sides of the Vellum strip by hand to add extra visual interest to my design. The rest of my sentiment was heat embossed in gold on a strip of black cardstock. I used one of the sentiments from the Thankful For Friends Stamp Set for it.

I was almost done with my card at this point, but I felt something was a tad bit missing, so I decided to incorporate another stamped card panel on my card. I stamped the Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp on to a piece of white cardstock using Ocean Breeze ink, which I then trimmed and adhered directly to my card base. I foam mounted my main card layer over this panel and then added some gold sequins to complete my card.

I also wanted to share some Gift Tags that I created using a wide range of products from this month's release. If you have followed my work for a while, you'd know, how much I LOVE creating Gift Tags, and I couldn't resist creating a couple using the Essential Tag Die Set

I die cut the base for the tags using one of the tag dies from the Essential Tag Die Set. I always like to create 'double-layered' tags so that the recipient has enough space to write their messages inside.

I wanted to keep the floral image the focus for my first tag, so I stamped the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp to my tag using Detail Black ink. I then partially coloured the images using alcohol markers. The sentiment is again from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using two different shades of inks: Apricot and Passion Fruit. I tried to achieve a two-tone effect while stamping it, and like how this turned out!

I used one of the stamps from the Colorblock Gradiating Stripes Cling Stamp Set to stamp the stripes on my next two tags. I used my MISTI Stamping Tool for doing this since I did not want to end up messing the design.  The ink colors that I used are: Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Passion Fruit, Meadow, and Ocean Breeze. Once I was done, I masked a part of the Sweet Blooms Cling Rubber Stamp and stamped it to my tag using Detail Black ink.

Then, I used the coordinating Stencil Set to colour the flowers and leaves using Passion Fruit and Fresh Pear inks. The sentiment is from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Detail Black ink.

I kept the next tag super simple, and only stamped the stripes and the sentiment and this was done!

The ink colors that I used are: Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Passion Fruit, and  Meadow. The sentiment is from the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp Set and was stamped using Detail Black ink.

Spellbinders + Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month | July 2019

Hello, crafty friends!
I have a Card to share today featuring the Spellbinders + Amazing Paper Grace July Die of the Month. This month's  Graceful Concertina Die Set is perfect for making gorgeous cards and more.
Becca Feeken, the designer of these exquisite die sets, has shared some fabulous inspiration and ideas using this month's kit on her blog, which I highly recommend checking out. HERE is a link to her blog post.

If you want to find out more about the Club – prices, how you sign up and what’s included, please look ——–> HERE. These dies are only available through the Club and are limited to the month of July, so hurry before they are sold out.

Here's my Card using the Graceful Concertina Die Set. I am so thrilled to have got a chance to create something using this set. It's super dainty and elegant!

This one did take me quite some time to put together because of the details in it. It's been a while since I created such an elaborate multi-fold card and it was super fun to work on it! To begin with, I die cut the outer part of the concertina from Cream Heavy Weight Cardstock. I die cut it several times since I planned to make a three-fold card. To highlight the gorgeous design, I decided to use Vellum to add between the cream die cuts. I used Papericious' Vellum Paper which is quite sturdy and was perfect for die cutting. I die cut the concertina dies twice from Cream Cardstock and once from Vellum Cardstock for each layer of the card. I used the tabs given on the side of each die cut to intersect them together to create a three-layer card.

For the layer in the centre of the card, I die cut the intricate die included in the Graceful Concertina set from a Vintage Patterned Paper. I adhered this to the centre of the concertina to create a backdrop for the couple which I included in the front of the panel. The couple die cut is from a previous collection by Becca, and is called the Happily Ever After Etched Dies. I die cut it from White Cardstock and Gold Mirror Cardstock and layered them one on top of the other,  so that I could achieve some depth and dimension. The mini bouquet in the bride's hand was made using the flower dies from the Layered Friends Forever Cafe Scene Etched Dies. I clustered them together to create a small bouquet. I also added some tulle and ribbon to it for added interest.

The sentiment is a die from the Happily Ever After Etched Die Set. I die cut it from Gold Mirror Cardstock and popped it on my card panel using dimensional foam tape. The flowers are all made using the flower dies from the Cinch and Go IV Etched Dies. I die cut them from White Cardstock and coloured them using the Tea Party Mini Cube Set. I embossed the centres and added pollens to it to give them more dimension. The leaves are also cut using the dies included in the Cinch and Go IV Etched Dies and were coloured using the Bamboo Crisp Dye Ink.

I added these small flower clusters on all my card panels to create the look of Wedding Arches, which are so beautiful and delicate! I assembled it together by adhering the tabs on the sides of the cards and my card was complete!

Happy Wedding | Card

Hello everyone!
If you haven't yet checked out my Altenew | A Year in Review Blog Hop post yet, please check it out HERE. You have a chance to win a $30 gift certificate from Altenew + receive one of my handmade cards :)

Getting a chance to be a part of the Altenew Blog hop got my creative juices flowing & I have another card to share based on their current challenge at the blog which is to pick a favourite challenge graphic from the past year & create a project based on it. I have gone with Amy's June Challenge. It's such a pretty palette & so perfect for the wedding.

I wanted to replicate the wedding bouquet graphic on my card so I decided to work with heat-embossing on vellum. In real life, this looks so beautiful. Unfortunately, I'm not able to capture the colours so well on camera :(
I stamped the flowers, leaves & foliage from the Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp set on some 40 lbs. vellum, heat-embossed it using a super fine white Embossing Powder & watercoloured the images using Tombow Brush Pens.
I created the background card panel using three shades of Distress inks - Shabby Shutters, Twisted Citron & Squeezed Lemonade by painting them with a brush on the panel. I then die-cut all the images using the coordinating Beautiful Day die.
I finished off the card by adding a sentiment which comes from the Altenew Vintage Roses set, another of my absolute favourites and I think the font is really sophisticated and went will with this card. I also added some Prima Marketing Glass Glitter in Platinum using some Multi Medium Matte & few paint splatters.

I hope you will like my card & the interpretation. Do let me know what you think of it.

Have a nice day everyone!
