Black, White plus one color!

HI friends,
I have a card to share today and I am really late in posting this on my blog. This card was created for our new challenge at the Lulupu blog where the theme is ..Yes, you guessed it. Black ,White and one color of your choice, so here's my take on the challenge theme. Have a look :

As you can see, I decided to go with yellow as my pop of color. I have done a layered card using an embossed background, paper and dies to create the whole look. I have tried to keep the embellishments to the minimum so as to make my three colors the hero of my card .The flowers and leaves on my card are die cut and just embossed using a stylus to give them dimension the small rose buds are also handmade using the same flower die which is the Joy! Crafts Floral flourishes (Flower 3).I have done dry embossing on my background using embossing folders and layered a die cut in the centre to frame my sentiment.I really went a little die crazy on this one :D.

Supplies used :
Cardstock - Yellow cardsotck is from The Craft Shop store, Black and White from stash.
Embossing folders - Provocraft Polka dots folder, Itsy Bitsy Flourishes folder.
Dies - Spellbinders Die-D-Lites Fancy Label Tags Four, Spellbinders Classic Scallop die set, Joy! Crafts Floral flourishes (Flower 3), Sizzix Leaves, Flowers and Branch die set.
Punches - Jef snowflake punch
Stamps- Hero Arts Find Joy stamp set, Inks- Versafine Onyx Black and Distress ink- Mustard Seed.
Black pearls.

Challenges entered :
Imaginations- Embossing
NBUS : #2 (I love to hoard dies and the Nbus I used on my card is the spellbinder's D lite die framing the sentiment and also the polks dot embossing folder )
Penny's Paper Crafty- Embossing
Cuttlebug Mania - Anything die-cut
Going grey with Scrap creations- Favorite embellishments (Flowers and Pearls)
The Pink Elephant- Embossing

Hope you'll like my card. Please do leave me your lovely comments. Would love to hear from you.
Have a nice weekend everyone!

A BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A TEEN....

Hi  Friends,
Today I am posting a card which I made at the request of my friend's daughter who wanted to give it to her Friend for her 17th birthday, she had a few Specification's  for it  and asked Me to make a card in Shades of Blue with the words "Smart 17 ''written on it .So here is what I created, have a look First:
And now Showing you some close up of the Flower's and the Dress Form:

        And now for the Flower's:
Now a little bit about my card ,when I started to make this Card I was stuck for Idea's  and kept  trying out various things until I came upon this Card by Vicky from the Blog clips and cuts  and then I had a starting point for my card, That is the Dress form and I hand drew the Silhoutte shape  and Cut it and Distressed the edges with Memento Ink (Rich Cocoa)and made the Skirt with a 1 inch Satin ribbon in white and placed a dotted ribbon and  a strip of Glitter  on the skirt . I made the string  around the neck with Pie Lane Glitter Balls and for the top I  cut a piece of Blue (DCWV)CS and stuck it to the Silhoutte shape,I used the Itsy Bitsy Alphabets to form the Word "smart" and the 17 is from Glittered number stickers from Itsy Bitsy and  placed on punched out heart  I decorated the alphabet tiles with some punched flowers and also framed the dress form with some Itsy Bitsy flowers in shades of blue and light yellow The Flourishes are from Pie Lane, the DP is from K&C Company and the edges are punched using Fiskar's 3 in 1 corner punches the base CS is from Hobby Ideas.
That's about it from me.  If you have any questions or doubts do let me know and will try to help you out. Please do drop in a line to let me know if you liked my card. Have a Nice Day Everyone:)

A THANK YOU CARD.

HI  Friends ,so today I am posting a card Inspired from The PDCC Challenge colors here's a look at their Beautiful Palette this week:
And now a look at my Card based on their Color's:

I so wanted to show this card in Natural Light too so for the first time I dared to click it with Sunlight Pouring over it,so here's a look in Natural Light:

And a close up of the Flower's:
My card is also inspired by this time's Case Study challenge ,where we are supposed to Case Nikki Estes card and here's a look at her Gorgeous Card:
So have you fallen in love...this is really that beautiful that I fell in love with it the moment I saw it..sigh..
Ok will stop Mooning and tell you all a little bit about how I made my Card,I took a White Fabriano Base for it the dimension's are a little bigger than the usual card size,Then I placed a Green Cardstock(Itsy Bitsy) on the White Base and Stamped it all over with a border stamp which I have inked with Memento Bamboo Leaves,Then I again cut a rectangle White Cardstock and did some Faux Stiching using a Gel Pen,And Added the Yellow Flower made with Punch Bunch Punches(Pear shape) and added some Punched Leaves again from Punch Bunch, then added some Hobby Ideas glitter to it and also punched Small Mauve Flower's and added the Glitter centre to it. Then I stamped the sentiment on a Diecut and stamped it using clear stamp from The Paper Company after inking it with Memento  Cocoa Brown,The Ribbon is from my Stash. And the Dragon Fly is from Itsy Bitsy on which I used glitter glue from Hobby idea's, The Green Glitter Borders are from Itsy Bitsy (Priya's candy) .That's about all from me.
Please do not forget to leave me your Comments and telling me how you liked my card, I love to hear from you:)
