When I Saw This

Hello Everyone, hope your week is going great! Today I have a elegant, yet simple card to share with you. This creative card uses Quietfire Design's When I Saw This sentiment. My best friend recently moved to another state for her job, I miss her dearly so this sentiment says so much for our friendship so I think I will send this card to her.

The die templates that I have used in Quietfire Design's When I Saw This card are from Spellbinders, I love to use my sewing machine to stitch on my cards as well. To adhere everything together I used Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry as well as Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Foam Squares to pop the sentiment up .
The Quietfire Design's When I Saw This sentiment was stamped using Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The white paper flowers and gun mental pearls are from Want2Scrap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog post today, I hope you have been inspired to create a card and send it to your best friend, it is amazing how many people do not send cards, I think we should all change that, don't you? Crafty Smiles, Terre

Christmas is the Day Ornament

Hello Everyone, Terre here with another holiday ornament using Quietfire Design stamps. I like creating handmade ornaments to give to special friends and neighbors for the holidays. My oldest daughter Dominica and my youngest daughter Leahandra like to make homemade cookies and other yummy snack and we wrap them all up in a pretty package and top them off with these adorable handmade ornaments. What a lovely gift to go along with the yummy treats.

For this holiday ornament I used Christmas Is The Day stamp from Quietfire Design, they have the most amazing stamps, I know I keep saying that but it is so true!

I took assorted red and white buttons glued them on to a scrap piece of white cardstock and cereal box chipboard using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry. I brushed the buttons with the Zip Dry and sprinkled a little glass glitter to make them glisten. Stamped my sentiment using Tsukinenko Tuxedo Black ink and embellished with some vintage trinkets. So I hope I have inspired you to create some of these cute and adorable ornaments. Remember to like us on Facebook and stop back by the blog for more inspiration from the other design team members. The 9 Days of Christmas - Day 6 - Terre

Welcome to Quietfire Design's 9 Days of Christmas - Day 6!

If you've been following along, you'll know we have a wonderful way to share these new stamps with you during this event.
If you are a subscriber to Scrapbooking.com you will have seen Judi Kauffman's Holiday Headstart article published Sept 1, 2013. In that article each designer created three cards of increasing complexity. We will be continuing that theme for all 9 days!

Each designer has created
  1. One "quick and easy" card - in a style you can make multiples of, but nice enough to send out to your friends.  Basically; cardstock, stamp, patterned paper.
  2. One "a little more" card - the same card as the "quick and easy", but adding some embellishment or more complex.  This one would take a bit more time or cost a bit more to make.
  3. One "over the top" card  - Enough said!  This would be an heirloom card, something you'd keep, frame, display every year - perhaps something with a removable ornament. For hand delivery or shipped in a box.

The new stamps may be found
in the New Stamps department
by clicking
here.

Here are Terre's creations!  Don't forget to leave a comment at the bottom of this post to be eligible for a prize.

Hi Terre here with this Quick and Easy Card, I simply used pattern paper from Graphic 45, the Nutcracker Collection die cut/embossed using Spellbinders Detailed Scallop Card Creator die template. Using my Tsukineno Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I stamped my "Christmas Is The Day" sentiment...love it by the way, and there you have it "Quick and Easy". Attach all the layers using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry, my favorite glue!

For my "Little More" card I used the same base as the Quick & Simple cards but fussy cut around a ballerina from the pattern paper and added some Want2Scrap Silver Rhinestone Bling just to kick it up a notch.

The last card is the "Over the Top" card, it has all the same pieces as the first two cards but them to kick it up two notches, I stamped the tree stamp and fussy cut around it, painted them with glitter glue for that extra sparkle. I die cut/embossed the new Spellbinders 2013 Snowflake Pendant die template brushed on some glitter glue and layered a couple of them together, added some Want2Scrap Silver Rhinestone Bling to both the inner and outer pieces of my Detailed Scallop Card Creator die cut as well as the snow flakes and there you have it an "Over the Top" card. Thanks for stopping by my blog post today and remember... Don't forget to leave a comment at the bottom of this post to be eligible for a prize. Have a wonderfully crafty day, Terre

Sometimes, said Pooh Card

Hello blog friends, Terre here with a fabulous card, I really like this one! I just love this stamp and you can find it right here at Quietfire Designs, "Sometimes, said Pooh" when ever I read this sentiment it just makes me smile!
I used Spellbinders Framed Labels One M-Bossabilities,  S4-328 Foliage and S4-161 Labels One die template to create my card front.
I airbrushed a hint of mauve, purple and gray to the card front then added some DecoArts Metallic Lustre in Bronze, Black and Champagne and blended it over the embossed areas, once the blended was complete I took my Tsukineko Memento Black ink pad and lightly ran it over the embossed areas to highlight it in black.
I stamped my sentiment then die cut it out using the Labels One die template and popped it up using some foam squares. I then adhered it to the front of my card using Beacon Adhesives Zip Dry. I hope you have enjoyed my blog post tonight, sorry it was so late! Crafty Smiles Terre
