New bear Emil and studio update

After struggling finishing this teddy, 

I spend the afternoon making the back cushion, for the bench in my studio.

 It really felt like spring today, perfect for some d.i.y. work.

 All materials gathered for the big job, hmmm,

 Hope the fabric will be big enough in the end, after tucking in all the buttons

 This here is my little stove, I don't know how it is called you can learn about it "here"

 The first buttons getting through, it is hard to find the holes in the wooden backing. I have to pull 26 buttons in the cushion, All old buttons I found in my button stack.

 Securing the buttons, I used wax tread, (the same I use to pull in my bears eyes)

 And almost finished

 It fits!!!! :D

 I still have to make a cover for the mattress later

 This was the closet I talked about earlier, an A3 sheets fits in these trays, and you can pull these trays out

And I just could not resist, to put down a bottle with fresh flowers from the garden.

sunny Sunday

Having less illustration work those last 2 weeks is so relaxing, I really enjoy.
I made some  progress cleaning up the house, and clearing out things.
And the weather is improving also, so what  could be better.
Yesterday was a Sunday without telephones, obligations, work, only myself and my husband at home, and I enjoyed every minute; I did a little gardening, dyed a few pieces of mohair, did some sewing on a bear, listened a lot at my audio book( while stitching) mmmm, took a long bath and had a lovely meal in the evening and saw the last episode (together with friends) of the walking death (:) ) season 2.
Sorry, can't help liking some kitsch series  :)

And the first poppy of this year opened (my favorite flower)
But the battery of my camera went flat, so I was to late and she already closed to go to sleep, but even closed, she still looked beautiful, hope she opens up tomorrow.
Well that's all, I just wanted to share some pictures.

New studio

The 2 first bears, created in "my own" :) new studio.

Finally I have a place of my own, where I can work in peace.
Unlike how it was in the living room, where I had to clear the table with every meal.
I sooo love my little new studio, everyone should have a space like this, to be creative.

 Still needs some finishing touches, and a double door with glass in, but they will be installed at the end of august.

The studio was already there,

but me and my husband worked there together in the beginning, but after a few months things went a little bit hectic and I really could not work in that mess.After 2years of frustration I had the brilliant idea to divide the space in 2 and to make a walk in library space in between, where he can put in all his books, and my space is for my things only! Yes! :)
I'm filling my studio up with all the stuff to paint and draw and the teddy bear making stack, that is a lot! I just finished putting my mohair there...

Almost finished and back to blogging

I have had so much work lately, that I didn't have a lot of time for blogging.

I nearly finished a big book, for my illustration work. 160 pages thick and a lot of drawings to make,(I hope to finish it tomorrow, and then i want to have a little celebration this week-end.)
so there was really no time left for bears and blogging.

But in the evenings, while I watch TV, I have gone one making some bears and I will share some pictures today.
I will gradually post them on bearpile and etsy. But, also, AND THIS IS IMPORTANT! on the new pussman&co shop

I have been working in the garden a lot, the last 2 week-ends, the weather was super! Everything has got a real sun boost and is growing spectacular.

Already some colour in the garden, spring is my favorit!

I also have made some changes in my little bear studio, and am pleased about it, it is difficult to stay organised, especially with so much things in such a small house,
I am lucky my husband is a messmaker to, so he wont pick on me, about this :)
I have arranged a small photostudio in the corner of our living room (on top of a chinise box, with lots of drawers. I treasured it, but never really used it.), and with the help of a strong hanging lamp and a piece of paper, it's much easier to take my bear pictures.
The Chinese box is really great to keep all my stuff organised, like buttons, ribbons, scissors, little charms, glue, cotterpins, little books etc....

And i wrapped all my ribbons on cards and they look great!!
I really enjoy my little bear sudio.

And then off course! My two companions day in day out! Milan and Vroefke, they never leave my side.
Vroefke(the cat) really likes helping out and Milan(dog) is a good critic.
