UFO RR finished

With finishing MW last weekend I had to find a new project for the weekends and I settled on tiger I sent out on the UFO RR late last year who came home almost done.
It kinda feels like cheating to have worked on this as a weekend project cause I knew he'd be done in a weekend but on the other hand if I didn't it could be a long, long time till he got finished.  And besides he fit's in with my goal of finishing projects that I started the year with.

So here's how he started out yesterday morning (its also how he come home after the UFO RR)

And here he is earlier this evening.

I have to admit I'm not very happy with the way the whiskers have turned out but otherwise he's lovely and I adore his nose!

Can't think of a title

I'm at a loss this evening what to call this post so I haven't :)

First up is my weekend progress on Scary Book, I'm almost at the point of only having the dragon left to stitch

Last month I did the monthly stitching challenge over on NH and out of the two we had to pick from I went for this one and made it into a scissor fob.  The cord is red and black ribbon plated and it's attached to the scissors I leave at DBF's which happen to be red.
It's a freebie from Lynn B

And lastly we have the last round of the UFO RR.
We've had some problems this time so I'm now done although my project won't be home for a few more weeks yet.

UFO RR

This time round I worked on Cat's Christmas Angel.

She's really pretty but I struggled with the chart (colour symbols) so didn't do as much as I would of liked

More UFO RR

I've realised that I never posted pics of the last round of the 2010 - 2011 UFO RR so here they are.

This is Measi's Smokey Mountain Cats and it was a joy to work on and brought back memories for me as I stitched because I stitched it for myself many, many moons ago.

As it arrived

And as it left

I've signed up for the next one starting on the 12th of this month and I'm almost certain I'm going to send out the tiger again to get it finished.

Help me pick

A new round of the UFO RR is about to start and I need to decide what project I'm going to send around this time.
I was going to send out Smile of An Elf Maiden again but there's a page missing of the chart and it would appear the designers are no longer around so I can't contact them to get a replacement.
So here are the options

Cross My Heart's Dragon
Silver Lining's Orchids for Cole
Shepherd's Bush Toy Gatherer
TW Egyptain Sampler
L&L Angel of the Morning
And lastly Celtic Cross.

Celtic Cross has been out before and part of me says I could easily finish it by the end of the year myself and part says but if you send it out it's a dead cert that the group will have at least one finish which is always a boost to the group.

UFO RR

Leigh had to send out another RR as the first one that went out was finished so she sent Bent Creek's Snapperbets straight to me.

UFO RR

I posted Shannon's Egyptian Sampler on today.

As it arrived

And as it left me

Unfortunately with my wrist over the last few weeks it's only been in the last few days I've been able to work on it as it needed Q snaps so I took a close up to give a better idea of what I got done (mostly back stitching)

And lastly the one and only progress pic of the new beading project your going to get.
It's a piece of flat circular peyote in case your wondering and if you click on the pic to make it bigger you'll see the star in the middle

UFO RR

I finally got this in the post today, with the weather having been so bad the last week I've hardly been out the door (thankfully Dad is home as well so I've not had to make the trip to Mum's).

Kristin's Cinderella as she arrived

UFO RR

I mailed Karla's Dutch Beauty on today and let me tell you this project is huge and great to work on during these chilly nights we've got now as it keeps you lap lovely and warm!.

And a close up of the bit I did

So far there's only 3 guesses about the next hanging and not one of them is right so feel free to have another guess and if you've not had a go why not give it a try

UFO RR

The newest round of the UFO RR is underway and I'm receiving from Sophia all the way down under :)
She wrote that this alphabet will hang in her DS room when it's done, I think that will be happening before this round is finished.
Anyway this is how it arrived with me at the start of the month
And how it will leave me sometime in the next few days, I'm sending to Canada and we all know just how long things can take to get there so I'm going to try and mail early each time

As you can see I stitched the R and here's a much better view of it

Yes the rabbits are currently blind, Sophia asked that we left them off and she will do them all once her RR returns home

I'm working away on Mel's birthday present but the good news is you only have to wait a little over 3 weeks to see it finished assuming I can get it done in time to get it framed that is. Because I can only work on it during the day when she's not here and I don't have any exchanges etc left to be done I'm back on Needlestory so I have some progress to share but it can wait for another day

Friday (pic heavy)

Yesterday started with my packing up the last UFORR to send home.
From this
To this

And because I'd spent all week working on the RR I forgot to take a pic of the Sunflowers on Monday morning so here they are a few days late.

When we went out yesterday morning to the food shop my girls bought me some Sunflowers

Yesterday afternoon was lovely out so Caleb had a play in his paddling pool for a little while and Auntie Mel helped to soak the back yard (and herself)

We're off to a Steam Fair soon, we would of been gone already but Caleb woke me up at 5.30 this morning and went back to bed at 8.30 and he's still there
