2014 goals report & 2015 goals

For 2014 I said
Stitch or bead an ornament a month   Nope
Start and finish at least 6 small TW's for the SAL  Nope, I think I did one!
Have fun rediscovering my stash with Stitch from Stash 2014   Done and I found lots of things I no longer wanted as well so have been selling them off
Keep up with the TUSAL  Done
Finish one of my Circles most likely the beaded one   Nope, but the beaded one is just about half way now
Finish Santa's Village  Nope 
Get my PHD number to below 25   Just missed out on this one it's at 26

For 2015 I'd like to
Keep up with Stitch from Stash, it's done me good this last year
Keep up with the TUSAL
Finish Santa's Village, I've done 6 of them so it's all downhill now
Finish more than I start
Get my PHD to below 20
Finish at least 2 of the projects that have no start year listed
Make good progress on (or even finish) a TW
Not to leave all my Christmas ornaments till just before they are needed!


I stitched for 1,049 hours 6 mins in 2014 which averages out to a little below 3 hours a day, I had 21 starts and 27 finishes over the year and only carry 3 over to this year.

December progress & January goals

For December I said
Finish Teejay's Stocking   Done, made up and given, he loved it
Finish something else   I finished off Reindeer Stables from Santa's Village
Decide on my Jan 1st start  Done
Keep selling stash   Done but only a couple of things they still count tho

For January I'd like to
Decide if I'm going to stick with Toy Gatherer at weekends or have something new for the new year
Start one new project each week of the month
Finish my 2014 bead mat
Keep selling stash

I stitched for 104 hours 50 minutes well over half of it on the penguins, I didn't start anything but had 2 finishes and stitched every day

November progress & December goals

For November I said
Finish my weekend project   Done
Decide for certain what's next at weekends  Done
Get Teejay's stocking half done   Not quite I have 6 out of 16 finished
Finish at least one other project   Done, I finished Flower Tender
Keep selling stash  A few more package have gone out
Post every day for NaBloPoMo 2014  Done

I stitched for 91 hours and 15 minutes in November, had 2 new starts and 4 finishes 2 of which were new starts and I stitched every day :)

October progress & November goals

For October I said
Finish the model for Sparklies   Done
Finish my weekend project  No but I'm close to finishing
Decide what's next at the weekend  I've got a pretty good idea
Keep selling my unwanted stash   Yes more has gone to new homes
Make progress on my quilt   I've done a bit on it
It would be nice to finish something else  I did finish finish something else but not an old one

For November I'd like to

I stitched for 100 hours and 30 mins in October!  I had 2 new starts and 2 finishes one of which was a new start and I stitched every day

September progress & October goals

For September I said
Finish the model for Sparklies  Not done :(
Finish my weekend project Again not done :(
Pick a new weekend project  I'm thinking about what's next
Keep selling my unwanted stash  This I've done, I'm sending out at least one envelope a week
Finish something else  I finished 2 things but they were both new starts so don't really count because I meant something already started!
Make more progress on my quilt  Done, I have loads of diamonds tacked and ready to stitch together and have made a start on doing just that.

I stitched for 85 hours 37 minutes in Sept, up on previous months partly due to the end of the bowling season and partly due to spraining my knee.  I had 2 new starts and I finished both of them and I stitched every day

I stitched for 78 hours 47 minutes last month, had one finish and 2 new starts one of which is the model and I stitched every day.  Those 2 new starts have put me back to 30 PHD's tho :(

July progress & August goals

For July I said

Finish Art Deco Sunrise    No but I'm not far off, fingers crossed for this weekend
Finish the penguins for Teejay  Done, he loved them
Maybe start a Lizzie Kate  I started and finished one for an exchange
Stick to my SfS budget when I go to the Nimble Thimble in a couple of weeks.  Done and I came home with some of it!

I stitched for 80 hours and 48 mins in July, had 1 new start and 3 finishes (one was the new start) and picked up a needle every day.    For the first time in a long time I have below 30 PHD's so I'm heading in the right direction now :)

Get my card exchange stitched and sent sooner rather than later  Done

Get my coaster exchange stitched and sent sooner rather than later  Done 

Plod on with the daffs and not lose the plot with the over one  Haven't touched it, I can't face anymore over one yet :(

I stitched for 67 hours 12 minutes in May, a little down on April but it's been a busy month and of course Mum was in hospital for the first 10 days which makes a difference.   I had 2 new starts and 2 finishes one of which was a new start and 2 days of no stitching.

In April I stitched for 69 hours 38 minutes.  I had 1 new start and 2 finishes and I stitched every day 

Mum is doing OK, thank you for all good thoughts for her.   Turns out she has an ulcer :( which has probably been caused by the stress of dealing with the estate of the our relative that passed away in Saudi last year.  She's still in hospital and has a new friend that has to go everywhere with her while she's there (her drip) so she's called it Rover :)

I stitched for 98 hours 11 minutes in March, had no new starts and 2 finishes and 1 day of no stitching thanks to a power cut.

I stitched for 75 hours 49 Minutes and had one new start and I finished it as well but I can't show it yet.

I had a really good month in January and was very surprised to have my stitching time add up to 118 hours 21 minutes!   I stitched every day and had 5 new starts and 4 finishes one of which was a new start (Stitching days for the exchange).

2013 Goals report and 2014 Goals

For 2013 I said

Finish a TW  Yes, I finished Legends of the dragons

Stitch or bead an ornament a month and finish it  No, this one fell by the wayside and I ended doing them at the last minute

Stitch at least 6 squares for SOLAK  Another fail, I managed 2

Start and finish Santa's Village  I started it but didn't finish it 

Finish more projects than I start  No, I started 3 more than I finished

Keep up with the TUSAL  Ha, this one I did :)

Get my PHD number to below 25  Another epic fail.

I think the main reason I failed on so many of my goals for last year was having 3 projects to do off one lady and they took up so much of my stitching time that nothing else stood a chance other than whatever my weekend project was

For 2014 I'd like to

Stitch or bead an ornament a month
