Cold Thursday

Thursday started with snow! And it stayed cold the rest of the day. We packed as if we were going to the beach and I didn't even bring a jacket. As a consequence, we made a trip to Target in successful search of some kind of sweatshirt. We also ran up and down the hill a million times on errands and to lessons of various sorts. The parents went to a work party, so we fed the kiddos. After clean up, we went to Yogurt Beach where they sell frozen custard: my favorite.

 Snow!

Enough to stack a bit

 These instructions were our guide for several days;
today they went in recycling

 Grammy does French braids

Off to school in the chill

Saw these cheery little guys on our long loop
through Arrow Creek

The view from the Arrow-Creek bridge as Anna,
Bella, and I start up the Thomas Creek Trail

Little wild delphiniums poking out of the sagebrush
along side some choke cherry blooms

Bella's favorite watering hole -- if it had been warmer
she would have taken a dip

Up the trail with a moody Mount Rose in the distance

 Wild onions amongst the grasses

 Off to the string lessons

 Tater Tots at WinCo

I am always tickled by the casino at WinCo

All finished and ready to go home

Sloppy Joes, tots with fry sauce, and broccoli

Good kids deserve a treat

Time for bed in Reno

That's all for now.

OXO

It's almost like the parents never came back.
