AlteNew one layer CAS cards

Hi All,

Quickly sharing a set of cards I made. I love making multiple cards as supplies are already out and if design cane be mass produced nothing like it. I wanted to use AlteNew Painted flowers stamp set and also wanted to try stamping on colored cardstock. So I made 11 one layer cards at once. Misti reduced the time I needed to try multiple color combinations by many folds. I totally love my Misti tool. Even to stamp a little sentiment, I use Misti.. :P

I first selected my colors for the cardstock. I love the PTI cardstock as it's thick and comes in lovely colors. Then I selected by inks. Basically I used 3 sets of inks; reds, blue and yellows...  and decided which cardstock will go with which family of inks..

Since it's colored cardstock, I first stamped the base flower stamp with white ink. It helps in bringing out the true color of inks. I used Misti to prepare the design and stamped the base flowers on the cardstocks.. Then I went ahead to stamp rest of the layers..

Since there is nothing much do to on one layer cards, I added a border by using MFT basic stitched lines. I love this die set too.. It comes as a set of 6 with different designs. I hope you liked the cards.

I want to play along with following challenges :

1. Simon Says Stamp - Something New - Used my new Painted Blooms stamp set from AlteNew
4. Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes (All are birthday cards. You will never have enough :) )
5. Paru's Card making challenges - Keyword "NEW"

Thank you and have a great day!

Papertrey Ink - Sweet Life

Alright Peeps,

I am super exicted to share this card of mine. I was finally able to lay my hands on PTI stuff and oh boy! I am completely blown away by the quality of their inks, stamps, CS, designs... in short everything! Even the packing was done so neatly and with lots of love and care.. I have to confess, the PTI CS is of the top most quality as compared to the other brand I have worked with during my entire crafting journey.. 3 years!

Check out my first card I made with PTI stamp and die set - Sweet Life. It's such a versatile stamp with such b'ful roses. This is suitable for beginners as well as stampers who has already mastered the stamping techniques. One can choose the level of stamping from single level to three level. I went with 2 level stamping. I stamped roses in the shade of pink. Then with darker shade, I stamped the rose shadow stamp with darker color.. and the final impression is so b'ful.. isn't it?

Stretch your stamps - Day 1 - Faux Watercoloring with Reverse Stamps

Hello Peeps!

How are you doing today? So I have joined my first ever Online card class which is Stretch your stamps. I really liked the concept and finally bought a seat. Seriously, all the girls at OCC really know their job. Each day is filled with lots of techniques and tips.

So on the first day, one of the technique they taught is 'Faux Watercoloring with Reverse Backgroud Stamps'. A reverse background stamp is the one which has lot of stamping area.

Here is the card I made for me. And I really loved the complete outcome. Have a look.

I used the leftovers from glittered 'hello' diecut and glued it to the body of butterfly to highlight these cuties and to spread a little gold to the upper part of the card for an even look.

I am loving the glitter paper which I was hoarding for a long long time and finally put it to use. Have a closer look.

Supply list :
1. Cardstock : Neenah Solar white 110 lbs
2. Stamps : Justrite Cling Background - Rose Garden
3. Dies : Avery Elle Simply Said Hello
4. Glitter Paper and Butterflies are from Itsy Bitsy India

Challenges Entered :

1. Simon Says Stamps - Make it Sparkle

I hope you guys will like it.

A set of tags

Hi!

I am back again. Today I want to share a set of tags that I made with distress inks. These days I am going crazy over distressing and embossing. Here I have used only distressing technique.

Each is of the size 3 x 1.5 inches. I got so addicted to distressing that I even inked the tiny flowers. I embossed these on the inkessential's blending foam with my embossing pen (again a RAK from Hussena!). Since foams already had leftover inks so their edges got inked while embossing :D
A different view.

Individual picture of tags.

Supplies used:
Distess inks: Barn door red, Faded jeans blue, wild honey yellow
Carstock: Fabriano Brustro (300gsm)
Flourish stamp: MICIA stamp

Welcome 2012 - A new year!

Hello!

How is everyone doing? I am enjoying the 1st morning of this new year and hoping that it will be the best one for me in every sense.. and wishes the same for you..!
With this new year, I wanna share few mini cards that I made with distress inks and heat embossing.. This is my 1st try on these and I am so loving these techniques.. In the next few posts, I will share my embossing and distressed projects only.. :)

I did the heat embossing on a frying pan .. :D I heated the frying pan on a medium flame and rotated the paper at a level above it... within seconds the embossing powder melted.. :) so when I say I am in kitchen doesn't mean that I am cooking!! I might be crafting..!! ;)

Individual pictures of the mini cards. Distress ink used: Faded jeans blue

This one is made with Barn door shade of distress ink

3rd one is made with Wild honey ink.

I could have go on but Alas! I have only 3 distress inks.. :(

The butterfly stamp is from Hero arts Antique graving stamp set. The sentiment is from Penny black. Black cardstock is a local buy and the distressing is done on white Brustro painting paper.

Also, on public demand, sharing a picture of my latest goodies I shopped at Joann's on thanksgiving.
