Crochet Wall Art - Beautiful!

 Urban Outfitters' Creative Headquarters
I think this is such a cool idea, and I especially love the colors.
Notice the gigantic yarn balls on the floor!

I wonder who crocheted this?

Cool Crochet Bag Made with Jersey Fabric

Check out this unique bag by Joanne L, owner of  Craft Passion blog. I have made crochet rugs and baskets from strips of cotton fabric, but never with jersey fabric, such as this. I have been in the process of making a large tote alternating with yarn and fabric, but I just never seem to have time to finish it. This gives me the inspiration.

Check out Craft Passion and the free pattern with Joanne L. here. She has some excellent step by step tutorials for this gorgeous bag.

Another one of her designs I love is her Yo Yo Hat with a wide brim. It's so colorful and springy looking! You'll find her free pattern here.

Czech Model Karolina Kurkova in Crochet Dress

I love finding celebrities wearing crochet, but I'd have to wear a slip with this one! (or line it) To read more about the photo shoot for the Brazilian Vogue magazine, click here.

Crochet Sighting # 1

I LOVE this top! There's something so elegant about white.

I don't know about you but I am constantly searching through magazines and the web for new crochet pieces. This top is the very first of my findings for this year. I spied it while glancing through the March 2011 issue of "In Style" magazine. It's the thickest issue I've ever seen and has so much information!

While on my journey to find special crochet and the latest crochet fashions, you'll see clothing, accessories, miscellaneous items and even crochet furniture. Check back to see more. If you find something you want me to post, please let me know and I'll be happy to.

Granny Square Clothing Trend - Fall 2011

Below are some of the fall fashions by House of Hollard. Since I design crochet, some of you may be shocked to know that I have never loved Granny Squares. Back in the 70's I did make my MIL a granny square sweater coat, and maybe you've done the same. I, myself, never wanted to wear an afghan. I learned to crochet back then but I have never liked really bright colors that are mismatched. Now if the colors are complimentary and easy on the eye, such as muted greens and plums, or even pastels, the granny squares wouldn't be so "in your face". I DO love black but would choose more pleasing colors if I were to make an outfit or granny square scarf. As I said 5 years ago, I believe that crochet is "here to stay". If granny squares are making a comeback, then nothing will stop it!

New York Fashion Week

Some of my favorites for Spring 2011

This sure looks like crochet to me! I'm seeing lots of Granny Squares. I'm going to call Anna Sui's Spring line the Bohemian, Peasant, Hippie, look. I love it. To see more Spring fashions go here and you can look at any designer's Spring fashions. I'll post more later.

More crochet!

If you like flowers, you'll especially LOVE the D&G Spring line. Click here to see a slide show of beautiful spring flowers. I've seen all kinds of flowers, large and small. And the colors are beautiful!

Crochet Dresses - Sfilata Salvatore Ferragamo 2011

A friend (from Ravelry) was kind enough to send me the the link for this crochet dress. She told me that she thought I would be the one to make a dress like this. I appreciate the compliment Mary Ann!  (and your confidence in me :) This is a beautiful dress. She needs something underneath it though! Scroll down for more 2011 fashions.

A nice frilly, feminine and flirty summer dress

I like this look too. I would wear a longer hem and button up the front though!
LOVE the sandals. In fact, I have supplies to design my own
and intended to do them last summer. It's good to know they are still in style.

Another pretty crochet dress

This crochet dress is gorgeous!

This dress could be done in macrame or crochet

I love this skirt. It's SO feminine!
