It's THURSDAY!!!

Are you ready for the weekend?? Even more importantly: have you scheduled some time to hop on the blog tour?!??!?! It's gonna be AWESOME!!!!! You won't want to miss it - and we're going 48 hours this time, instead of just one day like last! You'll have time to visit EVERYONE. :)
Today, I want to show you a couple of things using stuff that we've seen before. :) First the most recent!

In case you missed the post earlier this week, just CLICK HERE to see what I did. For this candy jar, I took that Flower Blossom die, and our vinyl that we sell specifically to cut in the Big Shot, and cut out as many diecuts as I wanted! It's SUPER easy to apply them, and if you want to move something, they peel off easily - you just need to be gentle, so you can re-use it.

My family likes the fact I keep a candy jar by my computer. :D I decided I want to decorate it for the seasons - and what better way for this late spring/summer time than with flowers? :) If I desired, I could stamp the vinyl before I cut it out, or even AFTER. I could change this up so many different ways! I decided to keep to the white vinyl this time, since most candies are colored.... :D

And do you remember the tutorial I did in January, my very first video tutorial? CLICK HERE to go to that post - but be sure to come back! :D

I had lunch with a dear friend and her two little girls on Tuesday, and I threw these together for the girls.

Aren't they adorable? :D Have I REALLY said how much I love my BIG SHOT lately??? :D It makes gifts and awesome cards SO easy - die cuts rock! :D So do textures, and embossing, and and and! :D

Both stamps are from SOCK MONKEY. Creamy Caramel is what the Top Note is cut from; the medallions are Whisper White and Real Red, colored with Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, and Real Red Stampin' Write Markers. They're punched out with the 1-3/8" circle punch and mounted onto a scallop circle punch. The ribbon is our wonderful red gingham ribbon. There's a pack of mini M&Ms inside; you really need to watch the tutorial for any other information you could want! :)

OK, I'm off to start working on tomorrow's big post!!!!!! Have a WONDERFUL day - and take the time to STAMP something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's FRIDAY!!!!!

So what better day to leave you with a fun card? :D Last night was our BIRTHDAY quick card class; we had a GREAT time! You'll be sorry you missed it. :D Don't miss another class - check out my class schedule HERE!! (You can also click on that link to SHOP ONLINE!)

So. Here's one of the cards from last night.

This "how-to" has been around the stampin' world for a while, but we've never done it. So I thought it would make an awesome kid's birthday card! Isn't it sweet? :D As you can see, it's mostly punch art. But here's the recipe!
Card Stocks: Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Basic Black, YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Pacific Point, Creamy Caramel, Real Red, and Old Olive.
Stamp Set: A Little Birthday Cheer
Ink: White craft
Accessories: Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, scallop circle punch, small oval punch, paper snips, 1/2" circle punch, 1/4" circle punch, dimensional
Isn't it FUN??? :D Ahhhh, the familiar characters a lot of us grew up with!
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!! Take time to STAMP something - it'll make YOU feel better, and let you bless someone else! :)
I'll see you Monday!!!

It's WEDNESDAY!

Good morning! How are you today? Are you enjoying spring weather, wherever you are? It's raining here - but it's that nice spring soaking rain, and everything is looking so fresh! The tulips are starting to come up with a vengeance - there are beautiful pink ones where yesterday there weren't any!!! :)

But you didn't come here to listen to me ramble about flowers or weather! On with the show!

I'm FINALLY showing you the last of the three projects we did at the last New IB&C Open House. :) It SAYS spring to me!
Here's the recipe!
Card Stocks: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Whisper White, Cameo Coral

I bet you can figure out the process all by yourself - but let me know if you have a difficult time with something. :)

Perfect Party Class Projects

Good morning! I hope you've had a great week! Sorry I didn't post yesterday - but I was busy working on all the projects I'm showing you today! :D
Last night was our PERFECT PARTY CLASS; we did an invitation, a gift card holder card, a table favor, a placecard favor, and a thank-you note. I used three colors - Pink Passion, Basic Black, and Whisper White - and polka dots as my theme. :)
The invitation is the Top Note pink card in the back. It's a pivot card, done with a Build-a-Brad of a cupcake. I love those little brads; they're a LOT of fun to use!! We used circle punches to create all the circles, starting with a 3/4" punch to take the center out, and working with the 1", 1-1/4", and 1-3/8" circle punches to go up in sizes. We covered a card-front sized piece of Pink Passion with the circles we wanted, then cut out the Top Note with the Big Shot. (YES, it's BACK with a vengeance for this class - four of the five projects use it!!! :D)
Then we cut a Whisper White and a Basic Black Top Note diecut, and trimmed down the Whisper White to fit onto the Basic Black mat, and stamped the Whisper White with the "you're invited" and invitation info stamps from HUGS & WISHES. Then we punched a hole for the brad to go through; when you pivot the card open around the brad, you can read the information for the party.
The next card we did was the gift card holder card - it's the Pink Passion scallop diecut card. We diecut the card and a Whisper White scallop circle; you only need a half a circle for the card. We rolled both the half-circle and the card front with the Stampin' Around Jumbo SPOT ON wheel in black, and adhered the half-circle on a diagonal on the inside of the card - JUST on the scallops, to create a pocket.
We used CRAZY FOR CUPCAKES for the front cupcake image and for the message on the inside; they're both embossed with black embossing powder, and then we colored the cupcake in with Stampin' Write Markers. We also used the ticket corner punch on the image and its mat before putting them on the front of the card.
The box with the "chain" around it is also made with the Big Shot - I just LOVE that die!!! It makes things like table favors SO easy!!! On the top of the box - which you can't see :) - there's a balloon and "just for you" from SOCK MONKEY black embossed on Gable Green; the balloon is punched out with the 1-3/8" circle punch and matted onto a Whisper White scallop circle punch. The "just for you" is punched out with the word window punch.
Next was the placecard favor; I made a template from Andrea Walford's site; she's an incredibly gifted stamper!!! I did mine with the piece of designer series paper you see above; it's from the Level 1 Hostess Paper Pack, and there were only two pieces of the POLKA DOT DSP, so I let the girls have those. :) It's fairly complicated to explain, easy to do once you get it figured out. :D We tied the ends with the organdy ribbon - the same one that was on the FRIENDS card earlier this week. We wrote our names with Stampin' Up!®'s WONDERFUL gel pen, and punched it out with the word window punch. It's simply adhered to the top!
The last project was the thank-you card; it's the black Top Note card with the Whisper White and Pink Passion circles on it. The "thank you" in a frame is from CUTE & CURLY, the stamp set that's bundled with the curly label punch. It's embossed in white on Basic Black card stock. We cut OUT the middle of the frame with SU!'s craft knife, and cut dimensional pieces to put on the back. Inside, the flower and "thanks so much" from THREE LITTLE WORDS are embossed in white, too.
The hardest part of this class? Punching and punching and PUNCHING out circles! :D It was a lot of fun, and the girls worked diligently! :)
So, that brings us to another weekend! :) I hope you have a WONDERFUL weekend, full of fun and friends and family!!!!! Get rested and rejuvenated, and you'll find that STAMPING is a great way to do that, too! :) BE BLESSED!!!

Last scrapbook layout!

Here's the last layout from last week's class for you! Isn't it fresh? SUPER-SIMPLE, y'all! And have I mentioned latel, I LOVE MY BIG SHOT??? :D

The photo mats are the Top Note die (Stampin' Up! exclusive, you know!). The Summer Sun pages are done with the Stampin' Up! exclusive Texturz plates, then LIGHTLY brayered with some white craft ink (something I learned from Technique Junkies called CUTTLEBUG HIGHLIGHT). The daisies are scallop circle punches with each petal cut in toward the center. The centers are 1/2" circle punches, and the daisies are mounted with dimensionals. :) The journaling "box" is the key tag punch.See? Super easy, super fast, and super cute! To put the pictures on these mats, I'd cut them with the die, and then use paper snips to cut the pix on the dotted lines; there will be a 1/8" mat of the whisper white all around them!

SO. Have you purchased your Big Shot yet? If not, CLICK HERE and click the SHOP NOW button at the top! Get your Big Shot - I recommend the starter kit!! - and then you'll earn hostess benefits AND SAB freebies. There will never be a better time than during Sale-A-Bration to purchase!!!!! If you have any questions, PLEASE don't hesitate to email me!

Have a WONDERFUL day!!! :)

Other two layouts :)

Hi, everyone! So sorry - I wish one of you could come be my assistant for a couple of days. I'm so worn out - and not done yet! LOL!

Here are those other two layouts. I'm going to make these posts short and sweet, so I can at least share with you SOMETHING!!!

Colors are Not Quite Navy, Whisper White. Of course, I used the ticket corner punch; the snowflakes are some Sizzlets dies cut with my Big Shot, and there's a crystal from the inside of a clear rhinestone brad from a Pretties Kit adhered to the center of each snowflake with our Tombow Multi Adhesive.

This layout was done with lots of punches and the Coluzzle! The colors are Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, and Elegant Eggplant. We used the Coluzzle to cut out the photo mats. The edges (both sides, but you can't see the left-hand edge. Dumb scanner!) were done with the scallop edge punch. The small ovals are oval punches. We used three different sized handheld punches to create the border strips. It was simple and fun!

OK, got to run again - miles to go before I'm done! :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and please, take the time to stamp SOMEthing - I'm feeling like I'm doing it all by myself! :D

Happy Labor Day!

It's kind of sad to see how many professions aren't taking the day off! But we'll celebrate, anyway. :D

Here's another layout from August's Scrapbooking class - can you BELIEVE it's September 1 already?!?!??!

Yes, that IS the Sock Monkey! :) We paper pieced him, and put him up on dimensionals so you can slide the picture onto the mat behind him easily. The mats we corner rounded, and used the scallop edge punch to make it a little fancy. :)

The background stamping is the word "celebrate" from CELEBRATE EVERYTHING, and the party hat from SOCK MONKEY. Colors are Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black, and Going Gray. I think it's a really cute layout!!!

What do you think?? Is anyone OUT there??? It's been awfully quiet lately. Maybe I need to introduce myself, and why Stampin' Up! is where it's at for me. I think I will - watch for an upcoming post!

In the meantime, take the time to STAMP something - you KNOW I am! :D

Wow, really?!?!?

You mean I REALLY haven't posted this month yet?!?!? I could have SWORN I had. I'm SO sorry!! I have a lot of things to share with you, honest!

Like this one! It's one of my workshop projects I mentioned in an earlier post; EVERYONE loved this card. :) We used BOHO BACKGROUNDS in Pretty in Pink for the flowers on the onesie; the punches are the 1-3/8" circle and the scallop circle, and the card stocks are Whisper White and Pretty in Pink. We also used white Basics Eyelets for the "snaps". Isn't it CUTE?!?!? Inside, we stamped "congratulations" from HUGS & WISHES and "sweet little one" from HOLIDAYS & WISHES.

Isn't it super-cute??? Here's another one - obviously for a BOY. :D

Used another stamp from BOHO BACKGROUNDS, this time in Bliss Blue. The punches are Certainly Celery, using the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches, and the eyelets are Sahara Sand from the Basics. Oh, and the background is Very Vanilla, even though it's hard to see in the scan. :)

So, no excuse not to have SUPER-CUTE baby shower cards! :D Make a bunch in each, and you'll have them on-hand when you need them. :)

OK, time for me to get busy - I've got a Quick Card Class on Thursday to plan! :D Have a wonderful, blessed day - and make the time to STAMP something!!! :)

Good morning!

Well! Here I am again! :) Life is supposed to get back to normal for a little bit, anyway; the show is DONE. We had GREAT audiences this weekend, and a wonderful production.

BUT, it's time to get back to STAMPIN'! :)

Last week, when Ang was here for the scrapbooking class, we'd talked - she'd wanted to learn the dahlia folding technique that I was going to teach at an advanced techniques class, but couldn't make it for that class. SO, we did THREE layouts, and she learned how to do the dahlia fold. This card uses the fold, but is the one I did with her - not the same one she did. :D
It's not a color combo I'd normally do, but I really like it - the layout is crisp, and there's a very clean feel to the card.
The designer paper is from the FLOWERS FOR YOU paper pack. I used the scallop circle punch, and the ticket corner punch on the mat. The "celebrate" is from the set "CELEBRATE EVERYTHING". Colors of card stock are Whisper White, Lovely Lilac, and Taken with Teal. I used white craft ink, and white embossing powder.
SO! What are YOU stamping??? WHAT?!?!? You haven't been? Well! TAKE THE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING - you'll be so glad you did!! :)
Have a WONDERFUL day!!!

WHEW! Sorry it's been so long!!!

Wow. What a LIFE it's been around here this month already!!!!!! Please forgive my absence; it's been one of THOSE things. I hope you're ready for more samples, and more information, and that I can keep my sanity for the next two weeks.

Kenn and I are co-directing OUR TOWN, and it opens NEXT THURSDAY, so it's crunch time. I'm already tired. :D

This is the LAST WEEK of Sale-A-Bration; for every $50 in merchandise you purchase from either the Occasions Mini Catalog, or the Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog, you can get anything in this brochure for FREE! Take a look, and contact me NOW to get your order in before time runs out!!

OK. On to sharing something. :D Let me look in my little folder, and see what I'm going to draw out for today....

This will work! :) This is a card I did with a homeschooling group of young ladies last week. We had a great time, and I think they enjoyed what they made.

The cardstock colors are Green Galore, Only Orange, and Whisper White; the ribbon is Real Red grosgrain. The background is the Spot On jumbo Stampin' Around wheel, done in Versamark. We tied the ribbon around the Only Orange in a knot, then punched out a scallop with the scallop circle punch. We used the Green Galore and Real Read Stampin' Write Markers to color in the stamp, which is the SO MANY SCALLOPS stamp set from the SAB brochure, and punched that out with the 1-14" circle punch. Punching out a 1-3/8" circle, too, we matted it all up, and put the scallop onto the card with a pop-up glue dot. The inside is stamped with a saying from another SAB set, LOTS OF THOUGHTS. Isn't it a fun card? Bright and colorful - and the colors can be appropriate for either gender! :D

Don't think I've given up on the blog candy; I've got to wait until Kenn's home to help me draw the winner, but I'm collecting all the loot to go in the box! :D I PROMISE it will be announced in the next two days! :D

So, what are YOU stamping???? You ARE stamping, right? Show me!!! And if you don't have anything to show me, for goodness' sake! Take the time to STAMP something!! :D

Have a wonderful day!

Scrapbooking!

Good morning, everyone. It's been busy around here lately; I hope you're having fun with the BLOG CANDY entries; I sure am!!!! I'm going to close the contest SUNDAY NIGHT, February 24, so please go to that entry to enter to win!

OK, I'm going to start sharing the scrapbook pages from the last class. This time, I was able to do the 12x12 first, and the 6x6 coordinate with them. This is my LEAST favorite of the whole layouts; the pictures are going to have to make this one. My mom loved this one - so it's definitely a matter of taste. :)

It's also not the best photo, so I'm sorry about that. The colors are Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla, with Brushed Gold. Here's the 6x6; I like it MUCH better!

Of course, this is a SCAN. :) If I get too many complaints about how bad the photos are this time - I'm lazy this morning - I'll reshoot. But this layout? It's not gonna improve much with a different photo. :D

SO. What are YOU working on these days???? I'd love to know! So, take the time to STAMP something - then share it! :)

Have a WONDERFUL day!!!!!!!!! OH, Patty, if you can email me at poohisstampin@aol.com, I can answer your questions about my gel pen! :D

Keep doing your gifts! :D

Isn't this the cutest little basket??? It's not an original idea; I got it from Kimberley Morris, whose link is over in the link section to the right!
ANYWAY. Our scallop punch PERFECTLY fits a York peppermint patty; this basket holds two for shipping, three for a table favor. :) SUPER simple! You'll find the tutorial for the basket on Kimberley's site - both links in this text will take you there. :)
Since I don't do Halloween, I decided to use my favorite Cerise designer paper - alas, it was for sale too short a time!:D - and make a Christmas basket. It was going to be taught at a class, but the class didn't make. So my sample got shipped off to a lucky swap recipient! :)
OK, I'm off to do more baking and cooking for our Open House this Sunday; if you're local, please stop by any time from 4 - 7! If you need directions, please email me at poohisstampin@aol.com!
Now, go take the time to STAMP something - I have to! LOL!

FUN new use for your round tab punch!! :)

OK, it's not my idea, but it IS very fun!!! I just have to figure out better stamp sets to use - you really can't see this one too well, but I wanted to try the technique. You can go here to see a tutorial on it. She's got a great blog! :)

I used the SNOW wheel from the Holiday Mini, and the snowflake on the punch is from The Snowflake Spot. It's much prettier in real life, where you can see the layers better, and the sparkle of the silver embossing powder. But go look at the tutorial, and at Dawn's blog - link on the right of the page - to see some more great ideas!!!!

I have to jet. Too much to do again, and Ken's laptop is in the shop. :( Which, besides repair costs, means we also have to share this computer! :D TAKE THE TIME TO STAMP SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
