Inspired Gratitude Card

I love this card. :) I know I was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest, but I didn't pin it. Odd, because I like to know where to attribute the inspiration. Oh, well. :)

This is another project we did for the Hostess Club get-together. It was such a great day! :) That's the Framed Tulip around the outside; the Antique Wallpaper one is retired now, but you can use any texture folder you wish!

OK, I'm outta here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me! And you can start your own hostess club any time you wish. :D Just let me know.

Have a wonderful weekend! Take the time to stamp something!

Good afternoon! :)

I thought I'd already posted this cute 3x3 card, but I've looked back for a month and can't find it - so here you go! :D

Card stock: Summer Sun, Basic Black, Whisper White

OK, I'm off to finish plans for tonight's ADVANCED TECHNIQUES class! Stay tuned for samples - it's gonna be an awesome class! Now, be sure to take the time to STAMP something - you know I am! :D

New Week, New Life!

Good Monday morning! How are you today? Did you have a good weekend? Did you get something done that you wanted to? Did you spend wonderful time with someone you love?

Item of business: PLEASE pray for the husband of one of my dear friends/customers. His name is Ev; he's having a scope procedure done, in a hospital far away from home, on his heart. She has gone to be with him; please pray for their peace, and that the doctors will be able to find what's wrong and help them. Thank you!!!

There was a very special wedding at our church this weekend; our young adult minister and the principal of Lancaster Christian Academy married his love Saturday night. We didn't get to go, but I've got the gift all ready to give them. :D Here's the card I made - I was told that "the girls are wearing blue, and the tables are decorated in sage, blue, and black". Well, I had to guess at the "blue" part - as you know, Stampin' Up! has about 10 choices in the blues! :D But I like the way this turned out!

So!
Card stock: Whisper White, Brilliant Blue, Sage Shadow, Basic Black

Ink: Versamark, Brilliant Blue, Sage Shadow (inside)

Stamp sets: Oval All, Celebrate Everything and Well Scripted (inside)

Accessories: Bride Specialty DSP, large oval punch, scallop oval punch, dimensionals, embossing buddy, heat tool, Iridescent Ice embossing powder

It's pretty self-explanatory! :D Lots of layers, some specialty paper and embossing powder, and poof! a beautiful, customized wedding card!

I hope they like it.... Congratulations, Kevin and Shari! May you be blessed with MANY years together!

3D Projects!

Good afternoon! :) So, only ONE person had a comment about yesterday's cards? Wow. I feel so lonely! :D

Today, I'm going to show you two 3D projects; the first is one that we did at a couple of workshops, the second is one I did to put into the Inspiration Station - and one like it might be making an appearance at an upcoming class! :)

Stamp set: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Ruby Red

Accessories: small cello bag (YES, you can order them from me!!!), Autumn Traditions DSP, Big Shot - I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!, EXCLUSIVE Top Note die, scallop oval punch, wide oval, modern label punch

This is SO simple - it wouldn't take any time at all to do something like this for your child's class, or your Sunday school class, or even for table favors for a party!

Card stock: So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke

Accessories: Tall Tales DSP, scallop edge punch, scallop oval punch, wide oval punch, small oval punch, Sticky Strip

I just love this little box! It's the PERFECT size for chocolate - or for that little gift. It would also make a great party favor - instead of the elephants I punched out of the Tall Tales DSP, you could stamp or write each guest's name, then punch it out. SO cute, and versatile!

OK. I'm outta here - I can't believe it's Tuesday already! Where is the time flying?!?!? PLEASE leave me a comment, and let me know I'm not whistling in the dark again! LOL!

Have a WONDERFUL day - and be sure to take the time to STAMP something!

It's going to be a bit longer before the video hits the netwaves, I'm sad to say. Trust me, I want it done and up!!!!

Inks: Whisper White Craft, Riding Hood Red

Stamp Sets: Sock Monkey, Cute & Curly

Welcome to FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, my friend/customer got sick yesterday, so we didn't scrapbook together. But I AM going to show you one project that she'll be making eventually, and a card that coordinates. :)

First, the scrapbook layout - remember, this is a 6x6 layout! (Sorry the scanner bed isn't big enough to go from end to end.... :::sigh::::)

Isn't this ADORABLE??? :D If I do say so myself....

Remember that Blog Hop that's coming up on the 27th? My products from the Occasions Mini are the scallop oval punch and the coordinating stamp set, OVAL ALL. I've already got THREE awesome samples done for that day, and a couple more that I'll probably do the NEXT day, too - so be SURE to come back and get on board for all 20 stops!!!

ANYWAY. All that to say that the scallop oval punch is a super-cute punch. The large oval punch fits PERFECTLY on as the top layer; the wide oval punch can be layered underneath it, if you want!

Here's your recipe!

Card Stocks: More Mustard, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip

Inks: Basic Brown, More Mustard

Stamp Set: Just Buzzin' By

Accessories: Bordering Blue and More Mustard Stampin' Write Markers, Large oval punch, Scallop oval punch, Walk in the Park Designer Series Paper (Occasions Mini), Big Shot (I haven't said it in a LONG time, so here I go! :D I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), Natural Serif Die, 2-way glue pen.

And that's all for the FIRST project! :D Here's the card....

I made this for a fellow demonstrator's mom who broke her arm. Inside is the "get well soon" stamp from SINCERE SALUTATIONS. I just love the way this came together! :D
Card stocks: More Mustard, Naturals Ivory, Old Olive
Inks: More Mustard, Old Olive, White craft
Stamp Set: Just Buzzin' By
Accessories: Scallop oval punch, white embossing powder, sponge, embossing buddy, heat tool, dimensionals
I haven't used this set as much as I should; it's REALLY quite cute! I really like the bees! :D
OK. I'm off to work some more. I THINK I'll be making the Top Note purse tutorial this weekend - we'll see! :) I'll try to fit it in, so check back on Monday!!! I still have three scrapbook layouts to show you, plus a BRANCH OUT class on Saturday, and at least one or two projects from a party this weekend! SO much to show you, you won't want to miss it!

BUNNY BONANZA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are bunnies everywhere around the studio! The first is a project my party attendees got to do this weekend; the second is a punch art card I challenged myself to do, and I really think it's charming. :D
This darling bunny box is the same box you saw last week, cut out in Whisper White. (Yup, that would be with my wonderful Big Shot!) We did all the punching together; there's the 1/2" circle punch, the 3/4" circle punch, the scallop circle punch, the small oval punch, and the large oval punch - and then the tail, which you can't see, is the 1-1/4" circle punch and the 1-3/8" circle punch layered on the scallop circle punch. The only other things you need are a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, a white gel pen, adhesive, Going Gray and Pretty in Pink stamp pads, and sponges. Isn't he CUTE??????? I love him! :D
And here is the punch art card. *I* meant for the white gel pen dots to be stars or lightning bugs! :) The only stamp I used was the saying from BEAUTIFUL LIFE.
The large bunny is the 1-3/4" circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, and the large oval punch. The baby bunny is the 1" circle punch, the 3/4" circle punch, and the small oval punch. Both tails are from the Boho Blossoms punch, and sponged with a little Going Gray.
The carrots are punched from the five-petal flower punch, and I free-handed the stems. I sponged the top carrot with Pumkin Pie ink. Aren't they ADORABLE??!?!?! I brayered the background with different blue inks. I had this card in mind for a day or two, and finally got the chance to stamp for fun a few minutes last week. :D
Tomorrow, I'll show the other two projects we did at my parties this weekend. You won't want to miss it! And I also designed something for my next video for Amy's hostess gift today - it may be a bit before I get to shoot it, but I promise it's in the works! :)
So. What are YOU stamping???? And don't you need a PUNCH???? :D

Thanksgiving card ideas!

Wow! I can't believe I haven't posted the cards from the SEASONAL QUICK CARDS class! Well, we did four Christmas and one Thanksgiving - and this one is it. :) SUPER fast and easy, too - you could put several of these together this weekend and get them in the mail on Monday, no sweat!

The background is plastic wrap and Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, and metallic gold inks. I usually tell my stampers, "If it doesn't move, you can either stamp ON it or WITH it!" :) Just use the plastic wrap like you would a sponge!

The saying is from HOLIDAYS & WISHES. The leaves are cut with the Big Shot, and just crumpled up and straightened out a bit. They're adhered in one small spot onto the front of the card, and the saying is stamped in Pumpkin Pie and sponged with a little of the gold ink, then put onto the card with dimensionals. The ribbon is our kraft taffeta; when I ran out, we used Chocolate Chip - but it unbalanced the card somewhat.

Here's another idea, also using leaves cut with the Big Shot - but I also used the negative space - what was left when the leaves were cut out - to stipple Really Rust ink onto Very Vanilla card stock, so the leaves would mute it a bit. The half-scallop is also cut with the Big Shot; the "celebrate" is from CELEBRATE EVERYTHING, and the scarecrow with the cute little crow is from the Holiday Mini, HAPPY BLESSINGS. When I was doing my Hostess Appreciation Luncheon, I did a few too many - to be on the safe side! - of the scarecrows, and wanted to use them. :) The leaves are also left over from a demonstration I did; they're actually cut out from the More Mustard selection in the current Level 1 Hostess Paper Pack. (Did you know that you can get rewards for your order of $150 or more ONLINE, too??? It's AWESOME!!!)
Cute cards, aren't they? Super-simple, and fun to do. :) You NEED a Big Shot, I'm telling you! I've got a new die coming, and I can't WAIT to start showing you some awesome stuff with it....
Gotta jet! So much to do, so little time to do it in...! :D

Other two layouts :)

Hi, everyone! So sorry - I wish one of you could come be my assistant for a couple of days. I'm so worn out - and not done yet! LOL!

Here are those other two layouts. I'm going to make these posts short and sweet, so I can at least share with you SOMETHING!!!

Colors are Not Quite Navy, Whisper White. Of course, I used the ticket corner punch; the snowflakes are some Sizzlets dies cut with my Big Shot, and there's a crystal from the inside of a clear rhinestone brad from a Pretties Kit adhered to the center of each snowflake with our Tombow Multi Adhesive.

This layout was done with lots of punches and the Coluzzle! The colors are Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, and Elegant Eggplant. We used the Coluzzle to cut out the photo mats. The edges (both sides, but you can't see the left-hand edge. Dumb scanner!) were done with the scallop edge punch. The small ovals are oval punches. We used three different sized handheld punches to create the border strips. It was simple and fun!

OK, got to run again - miles to go before I'm done! :D Have a WONDERFUL day - and please, take the time to stamp SOMEthing - I'm feeling like I'm doing it all by myself! :D

Good morning!

How are you doing today? Have you been stamping?? It's been crazy around here - I'm trying not to be too depressed that I'm not at Stampin' Up!'s convention this week. Yesterday was difficult, but today's been good. :)

ANYWAY. I want to share another 6x6 s-page layout with you that we did this month for the Scrapbooking Class. Here it is!

It's monochromatic on purpose. :D I really love this stamp set - PEACEFUL WISHES - and it's going away. So, I wanted to use it one more time! It's really supposed to be a Christmas set, but I love the pine bough and cone for masculine cards, etc. So here we stamped it on Creamy Caramel card stock with Creamy Caramel classic ink. We corner-rounded the mats, and sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel. :D Then, we punched out an oval and put it behind the frame from the antique brass hodgepodge hardware, which isn't available anymore - but I know there are two NEW sets of HPH in the new book!! :D

I wish I could show and tell, but it's only ELEVEN MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm getting ready for my open house on the 11th, from 5-8. I really hope you're planning to come if you're in the area - you'll get to stamp with new stamps, see the new IN COLORS, and pick up your new Idea Book & Catalog!!!!! I SO CANNOT WAIT - it's gonna be AWESOME. Oh, and I'll have all-new samples up in the Inspiration Station, too! You won't want to miss it!

So, while we're all waiting for the new book, take the time to STAMP something! :D Then go bless someone with your beautiful project!

The ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE READER'S CHOICE WINNER...

has been notified! :D When I hear back from her, I'll let you all know what the decisions are!

In the meantime, here's a sample for you!

This was from our Quick & Easy Card Class Monday. We used the Round Tab Punch and Bali Breeze DSP for the purses, brushed gold card stock for the handles with both size Oval Punches. The stamps are from CELEBRATE EVERYTHING. Colors are Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and Regal Rose.

The latch on the center purse is from the Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware, which is RETIRING this year - all the finishes in the Idea Book & Catalog are!! You can GO HERE to learn more about it, and email me at poohisstampin@aol.com to place your order!

My sister and BIL will be in town this weekend, so I'm not promising I'll be posting for a few days. :) In the meantime, be SURE to take the time to STAMP something!!!

Quick share on a Monday afternoon.... :)

Hi, dear friend! I'm just dropping in for a quick second - today is a class day, AND I had an eye appointment, so time is precious. I just couldn't leave you hanging today. :D

So, a quick share - and I shot the photos for a tutorial, so I'll be sharing that this week SOMEtime. I'm slammed this week, so don't be mad at me if it's not TOMORROW.... :D

So. This and the next are the last two samples from the last Scrapbooking class. I really like both of them - and they're super-simple!

Chocolate Chip card stock with Chocolate Chip ink, using the SO SWIRLY jumbo wheel. We used Basic Black to cut ovals with the Coluzzle, and the small oval punch to punch from Creamy Caramel, and put that behind a Hodgepodge Hardware oval - and the HH ovals are on special right now! CLICK HERE to see the special!!! (just scroll down a bit....)

Isn't that a great heritage look???

And my favorite of all!!!

We used Bordering Blue cardstock, and dragged white craft ink in ONE direction, not trying to get any specific coverage, just coloring the card stock. Then, we drew lines and put in nail heads with our White Gel Pen. But first, we masked off the area we were going to put the two images - both from WINDS OF GRACE. We made sure not to draw through the masking, too!

Then, we stamped the images using Versamark, and put color on with Pastels. Oh, so simple, but so peaceful and beautiful!! :)

Leave me a comment! Let me know what you're up to! And the next post, hopefully, will be announcing the winner of the ANNUAL BIRTHDAY CHALLENGE! :)

Oh, and for pete's sake, take the time to STAMP something! :D

Christmas in July!

Well, ladies, in my very humble opinion it's NEVER too early to start thinking about Christmas. :D This is a card we did at my workshops this weekend; the sets we used were FROSTY and GLAD TIDINGS. Colors of card stock are Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White and Basic Black. Using White Craft Ink, we stamped both the swirls and the snowflakes from FROSTY onto the Purely Pomegranate CS, and set aside to dry. Stamp Frosty himself on the Whisper White with Basic Black Classic Ink; color in with assorted markers. We used Rose Red, Taken With Teal, Only Orange (nose), Basic Black, and Bordering Blue (shadowing). Then, using either the 2-Way Glue Pen or Liquid Glue, dot onto his buttons. Push into microbeads; flick back of card stock to knock off excess. Using the Taken With Teal Stampin' Write Marker, color ONLY one phrase of the "Let it snow" stamp from GLAD TIDINGS. Stamp onto Whisper White; punch out with the smaller oval punch. Punch out a larger oval from Basic Black; mat the WW. Using the liquid glue or 2-way again, add microbeads around the mat. Matt the larger image onto Basic Black; mount both to the front of the card. Using the "Happy Holidays" stamp from FROSTY, stamp inside the card with Basic Black.
Wasn't that easy?!?!? :D I tell you WHAT. This post has taken me HOURS to write; Mom and I are making bread and butter pickles with cucumbers from the garden, and now we're trying a new recipe for zucchini marmalade. I hope it's good! :D It's for Christmas gifts. :D
SO! Take some time to stamp today!!!! Remember, Christmas is only 162 days away!!! :D
