a vision in blue...

Good morning everyone, ok which one of you brought the winter back with a vengeance, it is freezing here, I'm sitting here with a hoodie on and yes the hood is up (now there's a sight) mind it is lilac and really soft knit, the heating on full blast and I'm still cold, I'm one of those people that when they get cold its really hard to heat up and vise verse...I'm always the opposite of everyone else, my poor lovely Phil is either sweating or freezing because of it lol...I had a fantastic Mother/Daughter day yesterday, we shopped, browsed and had lunch then did a bit more window shopping, of course I had to do my Mum thing and bought her a dress, top and trousers in the sales, all for an amazing £22 would you believe...ooooooohhhhhhhh I am such a sucker for a bargain and when she tried them on she looked so beautiful how could I resist, anyway that's what Mums are for aren't they...my card for today is using one of the amazing Funky Kits Simply Adorables, this one is called Victoria...oooohhhhhh how I love colouring these, I think its the eyes and hair...I used my usual distress inks to colour her and the papers are scraps, this is my only crafting resolution this year, to use up gorgeous scraps and not waste them...the blue swirl is an Echo Park Christmas papers and the gingham is from Craft Creations...I finished with a fabulously silky striped ribbon and bow, a couple of roses and leaves and a ceramic sentiment...the gorgeous sketch is from The Scrapbook Sisters sketch challenge and I'm also entering it for The Ribbon Reel challenge and CES challenge too...I'm going to have a crafting and commenting catch up day today, I'm so behind on surfing all your gorgeous blogs and I miss surfing them, I love a good nosey at what you have been up to...whatever your up today I hope you manage to stay the temperature you want to be

you can never have too many baubles...

Good morning everyone I hope your all well...we had a very quiet day yesterday it was nice just to have a day chillin and doing nothing at all, on the days my poor Phil is off work we usually are running around trying to cram things in before he has to go back to work, its so fab having him off for two weeks...he made me laugh today, he was scouring the TV mag and I asked him what he was looking for, wheres all the great programmes that are on in the morning at Christmas, like Laurel and Hardy and the old Flash Gordon's series...I had to tell the poor fella they haven't showed them for years and years, shows how often he is off at Christmas doesn't it...he will have to do with the rubbish that's on now I'm afraid...my card for today is using one of the amazing Adorables from Sugar Nellie, this is the stunning Sybil, I cropped her and just used her head this time...isn't she just beautiful, I coloured her with distress inks and added a little bit of sparkle to her bows...the lush papers are a freebie with a magazine would you believe, I hardly ever buy magazine but cant resist a freebie can you...I used some gold card to frame the fab sketch that's too late for the Simply Stampin challenge sketch challenge but fits their new challenge I hope, and I used some of the papers to cut out loads of the gorgeous baubles, now how could I resist cutting some of them out, when I had used them I didn't think it needed anything else...Im also entering this for the Stampin Royalty challenge too...I still don't have Phil's presents would you believe, he is the hardest person to buy for so I'm off out today to get something and I'm not coming back empty handed...if you don't hear from me send help lol...have a wonderful day everyone

its all about the eyes...

Good morning everyone are you all well and ready for Christmas?...isn't it weird that we all get so organised but still end up running around like headless chickens on the last few days...I always think the supermarkets are crazy at Christmas, a few years ago my Daughters other half came shopping with me to help me carry and he was so so shocked at the crowds and craziness in Salisbury's, I remember him asking me how long they were closed for an wouldn't believe it was just a day lol...my card for today is using this amazing digi stamp from Sugar Nellie, this is one of my favourite Adorables, its those beautiful eyes I think, his name is Nathan, I coloured him with distress inks and teamed him up with this lush Basicgrey paper from the Eskimo Kisses collection, this one is called Woodland...love these bright christmas colours...I took this photo in full sunlight (yes we do get some now and again lol) and I think it may have turned out a little bit too bright...I added some fab twill ribbon and two message cut another sheet of paper and just a few buttons...the fab sketch is from Inspirational Card Sketches and I'm also entering it for the CES challenge and the Fairytale Challenge I haven't a clue what I'm doing today, I'm probably colouring or walking down the lane collecting holly, does mistletoe grow wild in hedges?...hhhmmmm I must have a look...whatever you up to today have a brilliant one

hide and seek sunshine - Sugar Nellie DT - CES challenge 32 Sketch

Good morning everyone did you all get sunshine yesterday, I woke to splitting sunshine so though right head to the craft room get some work done so I can get it photographed, er, well I got a bit involved didn't I and made 5 cards by then the sun had gone in and there was no light at all, just grey...luckily it came out again about 5 so I just managed to get some shots before it decided to hide again...well my Daughters first day went brilliantly she really enjoyed it but with the extra hours driving she was so shattered by the time she got home bless her, I rang her then felt bad because I have obviously woke her up from a nap...I was so relieved as I had that big knot in my stomach all day, you other Mums will know exactly what I mean, well hopefully its not just me anyway...right my card for today is for the Sugar Nellie DT, did you see my 'Nathan' card was on the Sugar Nellie blog last night and yes I know I'm on the DT now but I got the butterfly thing when I saw it...I'm sad like that lol...this gorgeous girl is called Melissa, isn't she stunning, I so love colouring these Adorables and really cant resist them and no its not just because I'm on the DT because before I was I was totally addicted to them too, I coloured her with distress inks and teamed her up with these lush papers from the Prima Jack & Jill paper pad, I finished with a green ribbon and Prima flower, a scattering of pink pearls and a couple of totally gorgeous dragonfly charms...the fab sketch is from CES Challenge, I'm sure there's other challenge it would be for but I have lost my list...OH NO shock horror I hear you say, I'm totally lost without my lists because I'm too lazy to go through the challenge again...I'm going to do some sun bathing today or rain dodging depending on what season we are having...whatever your up to have a brilliant one everyone

I'm in love - Sugar Nellie DT

Good morning everyone...I'm in love...how fantastically gorgeous is Nathan image, look at those beautiful eyes, hes one of the new release Adorables from Sugar Nellie and he will be on sale at FunkyKits sometime this week so keep an eye out for him...I'm off shopping with my beautiful Daughter today and I suppose she will be good to her old Mum and let me buy her lunch of course, well shes good like that lol...we are shopping for trousers for her new job which starts on Monday, it will mean a lot of travelling but shes really excited about it...my card for today is for the Sugar Nellie DT of course, and I coloured this beautiful little fella with distress inks, I really love colouring these Adorables they are so beautifully drawn aren't they, the papers are a mix of a scrap of green gingham and Basicgrey Marjolaine Coffee cake paper, all I needed to add was some ribbon and a knot and bow and a scattering of buttons to finish it...the lush sketch is from Sweet Stampin challenge and I'm also entering this for the Fussy and Fancy A card for a child challenge, I'm sure there was another challenge I had in mind too but the jelly brain is in full swing this week...this weekend I bought myself an Ipod shuffle for my hols because Phil is really into snorkeling on holiday and there's only so much time you can spend watching your husbands booty and head taking alternate chances to surface before you need some entertaining but it didn't come with a main charger just a usb one so I will have to have a hunt for one while I'm in town, is it just me or is that daft, I know long gone are the days when the 'batteries included' attitude used to be the norm but a charger I would have thought would have been essential wouldn't you...right moan over...have a wonderfully sunny day everyone
