Stampavie Challenge 16

Hello everyone, today's card is for Stampavie Challenge 16 where the lovely Jay Jay has made a fabulous sketch to follow.

I have used my ever so pretty Sarah Kay stamp and I have coloured her with copics. I have cut my image with nesties and matted onto a scalloped oval, also cut with nesties. The swirls on the top and bottom of the image have been cut with a die from my spellbinders doodle parts set.... something that I don't use very often, but must remember to use more in the future! The paper is from Pebbles ink and the flower, ribbon and jewels are from my stash.

As usual, a close up of my image.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White and pink card. Pebbles inc - Party Time Girl
Stamps: Sarah kay - Spring Blossoms. Sentiment - SU
Colouring: Copics
Embellishments: Ribbon, prima, jewels, brad
Tools: Retro flower punch, leone em branch punch, cuttlebug, nesties, doodle parts

I'm still here.....

Where has the week gone, I think I'm turning into a weekend crafter!!!! I've been making a few things that I can't show you just yet and today I have spent ages doing my first tutorial. Although when you see it, you will probably think it just took me ten minutes to cobble together!!... never mind, it is my first one and we all have to start somewhere!!!

My tutorial is something to do with my DT creation for tomorrow's Stamptacular challenge, so pop back tomorrow and take a look if you can!

Onto my card. This is for two challenges, Dutch Dare Challenge 44 is to use your favourite things - this is my favourite SK stamp, and Stamp Something has a theme of yellow, green and blue - they are all in there with a bit of pink too!!!

I coloured the SK image with distress inks and the papers are from Laura Ashley. I love these papers, but I'm not too sure about this card, I think it looks a bit washed out. All the embellishments are from my stash and I used a fiskars 4 in 1 punch for the corners.

Supplies:
Card/Paper: White, pink, green card, Laura Ashley - Contemporary
Stamp: Sarah Kay - Spring Blossoms
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, walnut stain, faded jeans, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, weathered wood, peeled paint and black soot
Embellishments: Primas, roses, ribbon and jewels
Tools: Water brush, fiskars 4 in 1 corner punch

Stamptacular Challenge 2

We had a fantastic response to our first challenge and everyone enjoyed our day of bonus fun..... so onto week 2!

Stamptacular Challenge 2 is called "This is for the Birds" and you have to include at least one bird in your project. The DT have excelled themselves once again, so check out their creations and join with the fun. This week we have been sponsored by Pink Gem Designs and they have given us a fabulous stamp as this week's prize.

For my card I have used a Sarah Kay image and she is coloured with distress inks. The papers are papermania and I have used my stylized flowers folder for the embossing.

The sentiment is computer generated using the font lucinda handwriting and I have embellished with jewels and a prima flower.

Supplies
Card/Paper: White, blue and pink card, Papermania - Venetian Skies
Stamp: Sarah Kay - Precious Moments
Colouring: Distress inks - tattered rose, faded jeans, worn lipstick, walnut stain, weathered wood and spiced marmalade.
Embellishments: Prima, pearl brad, spacer, jewels

Some of my Favourite Things!

Hi everyone, my crafting time has been cut short lately and I have been making some creations that I can't show you just yet, but I have managed to squeeze in this card for three challenges. Secret Crafter Challenge 24 is to use your favourite colour... now I love many colour combos like black and white for one, and I'm very fond of pink!! but I do love red also and I never use it enough on my cards so my favourite colour of the moment is red and I'm quite please with how this card turned out. The second challenge I'm entering it for is Stamp Something where the theme is spring and finally Charisma Cardz Challenge 12 which is favourite things and this is my favourite SK stamp.

The SK stamp has been coloured with distress inks and the papers are basic grey. I have kept the card nice and simple as I think the image and the papers are so pretty. I have embossed the centre panel and my only embellishments are the primas and jewels.

For the inside I have used the scraps of BG paper and I partially stamped the SK image and coloured it as per the front.

I have used a fiskars corner punch to add some detail to the corners. It also embosses, but unfortunately you can't really see it in the image.

The poem I found on the internet and it has been cut out with my scalloped circle nesties.

Supplies
Card/Paper: Red and white card, Basic Grey - Sugared
Stamp: Sarah Kay - Spring Blossoms
Colouring: Distress inks - fired brick, tattered rose, weathered wood, black soot, peeled paint, and walnut stain.
Embellishments: Primas, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, border embossing folder - frills range, fiskars corner punch, scalloped scissors, water brush

With Lots of Love....

There is another fabulous sketch on Friday Sketchers this week which I have used to base this card on. The theme for My Time to Craft Challenge 49 is pink and brown and Roses on Paper has a theme of "Love & Friendship" so it fits for both of those challenges too.

I love pink and brown as a colour combo, but I can never seem to make anything I like when I use it.....but.... I do quite like this one!

The sarah kay image is coloured with distress inks and I have inked the edges of the dp, the small prima and the computer generated sentiment with tattered rose. I've just kept the card quite simple as I think this image is so pretty and I have embellished with pearls, primas and a charm.

Supplies:
Card/Paper: Cream and brown card, paper from stash
Stamp: Sarah Kay - Rose's garden
Colouring: Distress inks - vintage photo, walnut stain, weathered wood, tattered rose, peeled paint, worn lipstick and weathered wood.
Embellishments: Primas, spacer, charm, pearl brad, pearls
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, water brush

Ismaki - Thank You Card

Morning ladies! I needed a thank you card and for this one I have used this week's sketch from Ismaki. This is another new challenge blog for me, but they have some great sketches over there and I will certainly be back. Also this week there was the option of using pink and blue, which I had every intention of doing, but some how grey and pink took over!!!

I have used the Sarah Kay stamp - Rose's Garden and it is coloured with a combination of distress inks and whispers.

The papers are by Laura Ashley which were from a blog candy win and I have used my d'vine swirl embossing folder for the pink panel. The sentiment was done on my computer using the font lucinda handwriting.

I simply decorated the inside as I need plenty of space to write. I just used the top half of the sarah kay stamp and it is coloured as per the front image. I cut it out with my nesties and layered it onto a pink circle.

Supplies:
Card/Paper: White and pink card, laura ashley paper.
Stamp: Sarah Kay - Rose's Garden
Colouring - Distress inks - vintage photo, weathered wood, tattered rose, worn lipstick, walnut stain, broken china. Whispers pens - brown, greens, yellows.
Embellishments: American crafts ribbon, primas, pearl brad, jewels
Tools: Cuttlebug, nesties, d'vine swirl embossing folder, water brush
Thanks for looking. x

Win Some Stamped Images

I have been wanting to do some blog candy for a little while and I bought some supplies when I was back in England, unfortunately I had to leave a bit behind as we had so much stuff to bring back. My parents are bringing the rest out at the end of March so I will do a proper candy give away then, but in the mean time I would like to give away some stamped images to say thank you to my visitors and followers.
The Magnolia Vs Stampavie Challenge this week is "give a little" and I have made this folder for the challenge. I am going to fill it with a selection of stamped images and on Sunday 18th January I will draw a winner. All you have to do is leave a comment on this post to be entered for the draw, those that follow my blog will be entered for the draw twice.

Card/Paper: White, red and blue card, DCWV Pocket Full of Posies
Stamp: Sarah Kay Stamped Image
Colouring: Ranger Distress inks - Faded Jeans, fired brick, tattered rose, dusty concord, vintage photo, walnut stain, weathered wood

It turned out .....MMmmm....shall we say.....a little pinker than I first anticipated, but sometimes you just have to go with the flow!! I must say a big thank you to tina (she makes wonderful cards, so check out her blog) as when I arrived back from the UK a little package was waiting for me with some ribbon, charms, spacers, stamped images and a gorgeous Christmas card.

SFOS Ch 28 & Sketch Saturday Ch 27

Afternoon ladies, challenge 28 on a Spoon Full of Sugar was to make a thank you card, which was perfect timing as I needed to make one! I also followed the fabulous sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday challenge. I used pink and cream card and the papers are from the Laura Ashley range that I received in some candy winnings a while ago from Sally. I coloured the Sarah Kay image with watercolour pencils and I did the sentiment on my computer using the font pristina (yes! I've tried a new one!!!). Finally I finished of with three flat back pearls. I decorated the inside with cream card and the papers I used for the front.

Sarah Kay Challenge Week 10

The Sarah Kay week 10 challenge was to follow a sketch. I have used cream and white card, paper from the Dovecraft Aqua range, the sarah kay stamp is coloured in with whispers markers, two die cut flowers, a small jewel for the centre of the flowers, three small iridescent flowers and the sentiment is a silver peel off. I think the backing paper I have used is really pretty, but it is a shame the stamped image covers up most of the flower - I obviously wasn't thinking about this when I decided to use it!!!! I slightly embossed the die cut flowers to make them stand up from the card and I finished them off with a small jewel in the centre.

Sarah Kay Challenge Week 9

The Sarah Kay week 9 challenge was to use the colours purple and green. For the card I used cream, lilac and green card, paper from the Dovecraft Amethyst range, three little iridescent flowers, two die cut flowers that I embossed a little so they would stand up from the card, a little gem for the centre of the flowers, the sentiment is a silver peel off and I used Whispers markers to colour in the image.
