I made up quite of few of these lip embellishments, so you may just see them popping up on a variety of cards.

Handbag Style

There was a very brief moment in my life when I decided I was going to make purses. My mom had just bought me a sewing machine, so that was all I needed! I bought lots of fabric, trims, threads, handles & whatever else caught my fancy. I was going to be this fabulous handbag designer, making lots of money by selling them on ebay.

Ha ha ha! I made a few bags AND I even sold a couple. They weren't horrible, but they were not fantastic. Of course, I struggled & struggled to learn, but my impatience got the better of me. I put a stop to that fantasty. It was fun for a time, but it just didn't catch my interest.

Aloha! from The Hippo Twins

This creation was inspired by my love of Kauai. I was lucky enough to vacation there a few years back. It would be the first time that I actually wore a bikini. Hee hee . . . I'm just not a bikini kind of girl. I looked fine, but I just like a little more "coverage."

What To Do With Pumpkin Lace Scraps . . .

. . . create a bow & embellish a tag. After creating a few items for my shop, I had bits & pieces of this lovely pumpkin (ok, yeah, it's orange) lace. Today I made a quick tag using them.

I wanted to do something different with the center of these flowers, so I clipped pearls off a strand that I had in my supplies.

Here is one of the items I made using the pumpkin lace. It's a romantic, shabby chic boutique bow. I made the bow, then sewed an alligator clip to it. No hot glue used at any point!

Pink Bird, Green Leaf, Red Sky

This card was created with simplicity. I only used three colors: green, pink & red. The embellishments are brads, leaves and ribbon.

For the squares, I embossed pink cardstock with a bird design & a bark design. It's a unique color combination & leaves a lot of empty space because you don't always have to fill up a card.
